didn't mean to sound offensive or anything, but with a pokemon, everything about it can be hacked. Its stats, its moves, its shinyness (or not), its ability and the location where its found. I have had a sableye with wondergard and a bulbasaur (shiny) found on route 228 with fire blast and even a seedot that I evolved that couldn't learn any grass moves even when evolved, all from GTS, so I know bwsically anything about a pokemon can be hacked. Anyway this is a bit offtopic.

Still few things I want to find out, might not until the games are released but:

Shintou ruins - where are they? If they are in Johto, I#ll be pissed because it contridicts the who Arceus/Spear pillar stuff in Sinnoh.

What the Johto BF actually looks like

What exactly this route is, if and this is an if this a route 123 (Hoenn) redo, idk how it would fit, but there must be a reason its one way, means you can't access it without going around an area. But if I remember, route 123 you had to surf past mt Pyre and get to it that way, only way you could.

Shinto Ruins seem to be on top of mount silver and I still believe that. On the Shaymin thing it should be in. If GiratinO is why not Skymin?

They could just be hacked ones, not from a leaked game, but either D/P/Pt games. If you can find out the trainer ID or location of where they were found/caught or if it says "egg hatched" might help, still could be hacked

Plus, people hack Lv. 1 legendaries pretty much every day.

You can still hack moves, so that proves nothing

But I thought that offering hacks in GTS was impossible, plus these Lv1 ones haven't appeared there before; I've seen them there for only a few days.

There is a new interactive game up on the Japanese Yahoo Pokémon web site. It uses FRLG graphics and has NPCs deliver hints and tidbits about the upcoming games - HeartGold and SoulSilver. This makes it very similar to Pokémon Garden, which did the same for Diamond and Pearl three years ago.

It is only open for Yahoo.co.jp members, but registration should be easy enough. However, I'm going to wait for the Japanese fans to post their findings.

On another note, there is going to be a real-life event on September 26h that will mimic a certain in-game event in some way. Details will be posted next week, so we should know what that event is by then.

Oh, brilliant!
I was just on the verge of signing up when I remembered it's in Japanese.
I'll wait, too.

A real-life event? Surely not a real-life NEP jumping out from behind a shrine........? =P

I registered and have been trying to access the game, but the loading time is impossible for me. Unfortunately, no one has said anything about it on 2ch.

WTF's up?

I tried accessing that thing from 3 different systems: Ubuntu, Win Vista and Win XP. It didn't load on any of them.

What's up with that thing?

On each of them it seemed like loading but it couldn't finally load.

If anyone needs any help with signing up, this page should do the trick, though it is outdated. For the field asking for an answer to a question, just type anything in Japanese (you can copy and paste the text on the page).

But from the look of things, hardly anyone has been able to get the web site to load fully after logging in.

Oh, I remember something similar to that for DP 3 years ago, except it was on the official website instead rather than on Yahoo and it was released earlier around July.

I'll try it if I have time.

Yep, I remember the one for DP's pre-release information three years ago too. If i'm correct, we got our first gameplay video from it (of Dawn walking around Route 201) and a great deal of new Pokemon silouhettes and tidbits.

I can't imagine there being too much revealed in this one as we're so close to release now and as Raine said, the DP one was up and running in the July (if not earlier).

It was called Pokémon Garden and was run by Yahoo.

The relevant page on the official web site explicitly states that the NPCs reveal information about the games.

With that being the case then, I expect that the NPC's will elaborate on some of the changes between G/S/C and HG/SS, as well as hopefully some clarification about Team Rocket's more fleshed out plot. However, I wouldn't be too surprised if much of this information is a reiteration of what we've seen and heard about on the official Nintendo and HG/SS sites. [/speculation]

Thanks, that tutorial helped a lot.
Too bad I can't read Japanese, anyways! :XD:

I'm on a black loading screen at http://pokemon.kids.yahoo.co.jp/gate/index.html. Something seems to be happening. A little Poke Ball icon just popped up above the text which I'm guessing translates to "Loading..."

I meant that Hoenns Weather trio and Regis were not in FR/LG but were in RS for obvious reasons, its like now that Uxie/Azelf/Mespirit won't be in HGSS because they can be already caught from D/P/pt and transferred to the HGSS if you wish, same with Darkrai, Cresselia and so on, but I suppose they could redo events in HGSS so that D/P/Pt legendaries only available via events, can be caught again.
I partly agree with you. There's no need to be able to capture Cresselia in HGSS. But Darkrai on the other hand, requires a special item before it can be found. The Member Card event could easily be put into HGSS for those who weren't able to capture Darkrai the first time around. Same goes for Rotom and Arceus. But then again, your theory is doesn't hold up when you consider you can get either Dalkia, Palkia or Giratina in HGSS if you have the special Arceus.

(For those who still haven't gotten the Member Card, remember you can still download it over Wi-Fi Mystery Gift!)

EDIT: Sorry, I triple-posted! So I'm going to paste my third post's content here (I deleted my third post):

I found a great toolbar for those who can't read Japanese and use Firefox. It's called the World Wide Lexicon Toolbar, and it translates pages in real-time. It's very convenient when using my new Yahoo! Japan email and it's much easier to use compared to Google Translate. It auto-detects the page's language and will automatically translate it into English or any other language you want.

Thanks, but you just triple posted.

HOLY CRAP! That thing is awesome. It automatically translates any text on the HGSS site. Granted what it translates to makes little sense at first, but still...

Oops! Thanks for telling me. I deleted that third post and pasted its contents into my second post.

And yeah, this toolbar is amazing. It's still experimental, and so it doesn't work 100%. I have to refresh the page sometimes to get it working. But it's much better than using Google Translate, for sure. All the credit goes to the ReadWriteWeb and Lifehacker blogs for finding and posting about it. :-D
