I don't know, but remember that since GenIII, even Japanese versions of Pokémon games get English names (although written in Japanese kana, of course) Rubi, Safaia, Emerarudo, Dayamondo and Paru instead of the Japanese words (even FR/LG were Fayaredo and Rifugurin despite being originally called Aka and Ao). Which I don't like, by the way... I loved how awesome Aka, Ao, Midori, Kin and Gin sounded...

So I don't think the English names will changed (as stated by K Dash); Pokémon main series games have never changed their names. Specially now that they are already English-named.

I'm dying to see the main characters' new art! Specially Gold and Silver <3
I also think that Aka, Ao, Midori, Kin, and Gin much sounds better than Redo, Buru, Gurin, Gurodo, and Shuirba in my opinion.

You are not the only one, I am also anxious to see the characters' new arts as well.

I'm also very pleased with the news. I like the names, I'm surprised. Though I preferred Dusk Gold and Dawn Silver. Well, you can't always get what you want. And the names really don't matter.
I can't wait for further news on the games.

Heart Gold >>>>> Dusk Gold
Because really, Gamefreak is too good to have to share the same naming theme as Digimon games. :/ Besides, Heart Gold is a lovely name and it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Here's waiting for tomorrow's announcement. Hopefully we'll get a little more insight on what the game has in store.
...Screw nostalgia, I want my 3rd gen loves!

I'm wondering what will be revealed in Sunday.

That's possible that they'll just "announce" the games titles... But I hope for first character arts and screens.

I'm also waiting for the official HGSS website to be estabilished sometime around new CoroCoro release.

Don't forget the blurred-out easels. Box art possibly?

Precisely. The PS announcement will apparently show two different things to us (at least): the contents of the party balls (you can clearly see something falling of one, and it doesn't appear to be just confetti) and the easels in the background. Plus, that's not factoring in possible character art shown in other shots.

Hm... has you guys thought of something? Many of the believers of GSDS believed in them because of us!

I mean like, first, TTEchidna made all the HARD work; he found many of the metaphoric hints in the games and anime, such as every main character having a Generation II-Pokémon, finding the Johto location data, and coined the now-popular term, GSDS.

Then, I saw his (then) little article and started to believe in it. So, I wrote the speculation page with most of the tidbits from his article.

And as soon as members of the wiki started to edit the page, you could notice how the belief in those remakes after a few weeks EXPLODED among the fan community, which almost EVERY F*CKING PAGE OF THE HUNDREDS OF PAGE CITING THAT ARTICLE AS A SOURCE OF THAT IT WOULD HAPPEN!

I HEREBY CLAIM MAY 8 AS THE NATIONAL DAY OF BULBAGARDEN! Is that ok with you?

Well, that's just because you speak English, and native Japanese words sound exotic. But to them, borrowed English words sound exotic. XD

Thank you for the information. I will do some more research on what katakana is though.

Katakana is just the set of symbols used for writing onomatopoeia and words borrowed from foreign languages.

Because it's clear that this is what GameFreak wants. Mind you, they won't become a reality for another five years.

I will LOL if that's where the Contest Hall is in HGSS.

Didn't people start talking about GS remakes pretty quickly aswell?

And what about all the 5th gen topics that poped up on Gen IV's first day?

I'm happy they've been confirmed. I suppose the big question now is: how different will these games be? For one thing, what are the odds that trainers will have different teams? I, for one, think it'd be a waste to keep the same teams when there are much more fitting Pokemon for many of the main trainers.

I don't even bother thinking of the R/S/E remakes, seeing that it's something that (most likely) won't happen in the near future. For now I just want to be happy getting remakes of my favorite generation.

These games just got announced and people are already jumping to conclusions. I also notice G/S/C fans as a whole being picked on quite a bit in general. I was never aware that Generation II was held in high reguard by many until I heard other talking about the games being overrated. I never really encountered G/S/C fans being vocal about it. I've seen more vocal Gen. I fans talking as if the original 151 were flawless and anything made after Mew is pure crap. I admit, as a huge Gen. II fan I thought the Johto Pokemon had some pretty bad creatures, but all the regions do.

G/S/C were my favorite games in the series, but I still think it needs a lot of things improved upon. Aside from favoritism, one of the reasons that I'm excited for the new GSDS games is to see what the developers will improve on. Since the DS cartridges have much more capabilities I doubt they would not take a big advantage of that.

I think it's become such a long-running joke that it'll probably stay undeveloped. XD

And I'm skeptical that RS remakes will ever be made - it probably won't happen unless there is an enormous leap taken by the graphics of the series at some point in the future. It's possible, but it would be so far off that it's not really worth trying to predict at this point.

Indeed. When I first played GSC, I was annoyed at some of the things that they had cut out in Kanto, namely the exclusion of the Safari Zone. Hopefully they'll fix stuff like that up in HG/SS.
