Not only does his character serve to undermine ash, however, he serves as the complete anthesis of what the anime stands for. He literally does not fit as a protagonist in the anime because the show has long since established a character of his liking in a negative manner. Moreover, ash has shown on numerous occasions that he is against anyone who treat their pokemon as objects - which he literally does. There is so much going wrong in the series, but the biggest offender is really this character. I can only hope that Gamefreak releases another rushed pokemon game so this screen thief can go away forever

He's a screenhog, the complete opposite of a co-protagonist.
All his defenders strangely enough hate Ash so whatever.
Go sucks

ן like Go but don't hate Ash (I merely think that he was a lot more interesting in the OS). Go is starting to use his Pokemon more now and Cubone might be the second Pokemon he bonds with.

Good luck with the "going away forever" thing when Go isn't even a Galar character. You should wish for the Go game to fade into obscurity, if anything.

Alright, time to end this discussion. Creating threads to bash anime characters is a no-no in this section, as it does nothing more than create a negative atmosphere and doesn't contribute to a healthy discussion in any way.

Neo Blaze had already made the A&M's stance about Go and discussions involving him pretty clear, but here's a reminder just in case:

Besides that, it has become more and more clear that the character of Go is a heated topic and elicits some strong emotions. This is prevalent on both sides of the argument. Yes, both. If you really believe only one side is to blame for turning this thread into a heated battleground, I strongly advise you to do some serious self-reflection. We are discussing an animated character from an anime primarily focused on a younger audience here. NOT politics. NOT religion. NOT society. An animated character.

[…]

We may or may not open another Go thread in the near future. Of course we want to be able to facilitate a central place to discuss the character of Go, but not in the way that the discussion has developed in this very thread. Respect for either side of the argument is dwindling (both when it comes to Go and in this section in general), which is shameful to see.

As such, refrain from opening Go-related threads for the time being. We will eventually open a general thread to discuss his character and give approval for opening other threads when it is the right time.

Locking.
