Greninja cut and unmentioned in Pokkén Tournament? Why?

I know that Greninja was newly introduced as a playable character in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, while its Ash-Greninja bond-phenomenon has also been added it its Final Smash. However, Bandai Namco Studios, Inc. developers should've include Greninja and its Ash-Greninja bond phenomenon for its Burst Attack as a playable character in Pokkén Tournament and Pokkén Tournament DX for Wii U and Nintendo Switch because it was a popular Pokémon among its fans. So, why do think that they have decided to instead cut and not mentioned at all in those versions of that game? Please let me know, thanks.

Did they ever have plans to included Greninja? Because, if not, it wasn’t cut because there was nothing to cut.

As for why it’s not included, who knows? Plenty of popular Pokémon aren’t in Pokkén Tournament. Maybe because it’s already in Smash (and is not Pikachu). Maybe they felt a fitting move set would be too similar to an already established character. Etc.

Sincerely, if we were going to get Ash-Greninja, I'd rather not have him in the game.

Well Greninja just isn't as relevant these days tbh. It had a nice run back in Gen 6, but ultimately it ended up being a quick little fad that got dropped the moment Gen 7 began; Greninja never attained the kind of popularity status that Charizard, Mewtwo, Pikachu and Lucario did.

Incineroar wasn't in Pokken. The closest thing that comes to my mind is Decidueye being replaced with Incineroar in Smash, but I'm not sure if that's what you're talking about.
