The new trailer has a rather interesting quote from ya boy Guzma. He says "Maybe when you bring out the best in others, it helps you find the best in yourself, too, huh?" It almost seems as if he's working alongside us. As we know, at the end of Sun and Moon, he disbands Team Skull and he is taken under Hala's wing to become a stronger trainer and a better person. Will we be seeing further redemption for Guzma in this game?

Saw that on the trailer. It does certainly feel like a very... Unvillain quote :p

I have little experience and knowledge on Guzma since I haven't played SuMo, but this does sound like he'll be taking a more positive role.

What’s more is that his quote in the trailer isn’t too dissimilar to what Hala tells him in SM’s post-game:

> Hala: Only when you respect your opponent's skill will it bring out the best in you.

So maybe his turnaround happens a little sooner, yeah.

We know that Lusamine straight up protects him from the story trailer, or is defending him after being knocked out. So I would think sometime during the story they BOTH are met with a stronger foe and quickly realize their mistakes in time for the climax of the story. Its an interesting take on the story to say the least.
