Halloween Art Contest: Alola Forms

Hey everyone!

As you might know, Halloween is right around the corner, and in accordance with this we’ll be holding a contest for everyone who wishes to participate! Staff will also be allowed to join in, but will not be able to win anything, as this is primarily for users.

The theme for the contest:

Design a new Alola form based on Halloween.

It can be any typing and Pokémon, based on any aspects of Halloween. You don’t have to worry about your artistic skills, as the contest will be judged based on concept and design. You still have to put in some effort, of course.

The winner(s) will receive the following:

· A banner declaring the winner, made by @Rainbow Cloud.
· The entries of the top 3 winners will be posted on Bulbagarden Twitter and Tumblr.
· The art thread of the winner (if they have one) will be stickied to the top of the Art Gallery for a month.

All the prizes are of course optional. You don’t have to use the banner, nor have your thread stickied, if you don’t want to.

If you want to participate, you just post your entry in this tread (one per user). The deadline is 11:55pm on October 31st (US Pacific Standard Time).

Alrighty. We have finally decided on a winner!

This was @canisaries' entry:

We love the Grim Reaper-look it has. Making the wings more cape-like is also a really nice touch, as well as the skeleton-like body along with the scythe, which is very fitting for Scyther. It's something one would imagine they'd go for if Scyther ever did get an Alola Form. Credits for adding typing as well. What made us pick this one specifically was the outstanding design and concept. It differs a lot from Scythers original design, and looks very unique, but you can still tell it's a Scyther

@JustACat's entry is really good as well:

Giving it a tail, whilst making it more black, gives it the look of a classic black cat, which we think is really cool. You also turned the eyes red, and made them more diamond shaped, making them look more like cat eyes. The black and red gems also go well with the Halloween aspect, and the color sheme overall is very fitting. Well done!
