    Fizzypendence Day

    Fireworks, celebrations galore sounds throughout New Fizz City, as the annual Fizzypendence Day has once again rolled around. The streets are filled with citizens and trainers alike celebrating the day that Fizzytopia had became its own independent region. The already normally lively city becomes buzzing with pride and joy for all of Fizzytopia. This celebration is proving to be a roaring success for all involved. Staffers all have big smiles on their faces as they see the turnout for this beautiful sunny day. Vendors and shops also love this day, too, as customers line up to buy Fizzypendence merchandise, ranging from statues of the founders to collectable Lapras plushies for the mascot, Nessie.

    In the middle of the Municipal Plaza, Mayor Leopold Loffley stands upon a podium to give his speech to all onlookers. “Ladies and gentlemen, thank you all for showing up on this wonderful day. I, for one, am proud to be the mayor of this city. Today marks the anniversary of when this great region decided to stand on its own two feet. When I look out here, I see everything that made this land what it became: trainers who showcase the bond that we share with our Pokemon; entrepreneurs who show how creative our industries can and will be for now and future generations to come; volunteers who are the real backbone of our communities for without them many would be without food or homes; and you, the fine citizens without whom this would all be impossible. Thank you all for taking time out of your busy lives to show your support.” The mayor gives a bow before stepping off the podium, no doubt to comb that glorious moustache that he is well known for.

    The nearby band starts to play familiar patriotic tunes as different events start up. Among them are eight events that will play the role for you, the player characters will be participating in. And do not let these stifle your creativity, please do any events you can think of, but please also include one Day Event and One Night Event.

    Day Events:
    In Central Park, a Picnic is underway. Here you may enjoy a nice already-packed picnic basket for you and your Pokemon to enjoy. If that doesn’t sate your hunger, there is also an eating competition for bragging rights. Either way, it’s all enjoyable food. This food is said to expand your Pokemon's palette.

    The Great Fizzytopian Parade is about to start on High Street, but don’t let that deter you from entering in. You can design your own float and run it through the parade for all to see your creative side. Or maybe you just want to sit by and watch the parade, that’s fine too. Sparkly and shiny items will glisten throughout this event, maybe even some prizes worth more than sentimental value.

    In Knowledge Square, a locally owned and operated Play is being put together, and they’re wanting all sorts of volunteers for it. It is an accurate™ recreation of the founding of Fizzytopia. All are welcome to join, even Pokemon, though there will be a Pokespeak translator for them off to the side. Atmosphere is important and they might give away some things that helps enhance it.

    If you’re feeling a lot more sporty, there is the Decathlon. Ten different physical events where you and your Pokemon can compete. You don’t have to participate in them all, but it is highly encouraged. Now this is not a strict competition, it’s more for fun, thus no need to hold this over two days. There are some things here that will help power the local Pokemon, maybe you'll run into some of them.

    Night Events:
    If you’re feeling musically inclined, you should check out the Concert in Knowledge Square. Heavy metal and rock bands play both original songs and remixed versions of your favorite patriotic tunes. Some of them even sell CDs for you to rock out to on the road.

    Nothing beats a classic Fireworks Show. In Municipal Plaza, you can sit and enjoy the beautiful pyrotechnics from afar. Join in with some sparklers and other safe-for-kids-and-Pokemon fireworks to really show your more explosive side. They even give some things that your Pokemon can hold for themselves.

    If dancing is more your style, there’s the Rave. Come grab a neon stick or other glow in the dark as you party the night away. In addition there is a light show that will guarantee to draw you in. Please no flash photography or TM Flash usage. Surely there will be something here that will capture your attention.

    Finally, there is the Bonfire in Central Park. Grab something wooden or burnable and give in to your inner pyro. Roast marshmallows, hotdogs, or any other treat over it. Not to mention it gets cold at night, so why not just enjoy a little heat? Snacks are always great and there's even some here for you to have.

    --------------

    As I said before, choose ONE Daytime event, and ONE Nighttime event. This event will end on the 22nd of April 12:00 A.M. Fizzy Bubbles Time (So 7:00 P.M. EST). Please have your post in by then. As always, rping isn't required but it is very much encouraged. And one final rule, please oh please don't break this one, you know who you are.
    NO TOXICITY!
    That being said, have fun.
    Also because I'm a genius who never forgets anything eeeverrrr, I've been informed by someone that I um...didn't forget to put this down :p
    Bond is not counted for this event. You may claim $250 for writing 250 words only once in this event.

    Fizzytopian Independence Day had arrived, and Alice Hope had been planning her next trip to the city for quite a while. As one of the more noted trainers of the region – one of many invited to the New Year's parade and a face as both customer and maid at MaiDragonite – she had been invited to take part in the festivities in one way or another. An eating contest was only going to make her sick, and as much as theatre and a picnic were right up her street... The parade was irresistible.

    She wasn't the best at arts and crafts, it had to be said, but between herself, her Pokemon and her friends she had plenty of brainstorming help and then it was simply a case of getting someone to help put the float together. She'd had to check with the MaiDragonite staff to make sure that theirs didn't clash, what with an overlap of aesthetics, but Alice was delighted with the end result of her own.

    It matched the measurement and scale of most of the floats of course. Alice had designed it with a Wonderland and idol-like aesthetic, of course: the 'floor' of the float was designed to look like a bright pink tablecloth that hung over the edges, the trim of the curves in rainbow shades. Small speakers were set in golden boxes, the only giveaway of what they were being the gadgets themselves exposed in the door knobs that stuck out, inspired by the sleeping door knob. There were wiry trees in purposely, synthetic white, bushes of odd, pastel-coloured berries and flowers around the outline and in the centre a round pillar of a stage that loomed over the rest of the float. It turned slowly, and Alice was stood atop the centre of it with a microphone in hand, singing and dancing along with the parade's patriotic and trendy choice of tunes.

    Of course, the trainer wasn't alone. Mimi, her Mime Jr, mimicked her moves, and Kara the Koffing twirled delightedly about. She approved of her trainer's appearance as she did whenever Alice seemed to make an effort: blonde hair falling in waves with a hairband set in, adorned in a faded pink dress with ruffles in the skirt and a white corset-style belt pulling in her middle and tied in bows at the front. She of course had white safety shorts beneath for anyone who might try to take a peek, the white socks pulling up to her thighs. Alice's feet must've been killing her in the pink heels, though, even if they were low. Other Pokemon could be spotted, too. Jasper the Sableye was spooking patrons with his fading antics and eerie grin, and Zoey the shiny Zubat was hanging from various trees between fluttering about with a sparkle. Nani the Machop, wearing accessories to match the theme with card-symbol insignia, was tossing confetti and posing for the crowds, too. Kenji the pink Krabby was blowing bubbles as he scuttled about, his naturally surprised expression coaxing laughs from onlookers.

    It was a noisy day and event, but it definitely did wonders for getting their name out there. Thankfully they had all been well fed before, having gotten a big breakfast at one of the fancy hotels beforehand and snacks through the day as they needed them. When it was all over and done with, the sun beginning to fall and the crowds diseprsing gradually from the parade road, Alice helped to take their float apart with Nani and Jasper and the assistants. There was some rest time as day turned into night, the adopted Machop helping to soothe the human's hurting feet, and then it was time for the next acts on their itinerary.

    Her outfit changed to match, of course, although the theme was kept for the sake of marketing – do it for the views and all that. The pink dress had been changed for one that was fluorescent and hugged her curves more, casual enough to be worn with the socks and trainers in a few luminous shades. Alice's bracelet and hair band both lit up if she switched them on, but she left the face paint for later. Obviously the idol intended to head to the rave eventually, but for now, she was packing in as many of the rock and metal acts as she could. The tiny trainer had gotten as close to the front as she could scurry, her voice managing to carry to the back of the stage as Alice cheered and screamed and supported the performers as enthusiastically as she could in their efforts. Anyone who she saw, she politely tried to get a selfie and signature with. Before the rave was even a proper thought, Alice had several merchandise totes filled with... More merch. Just shut up and take her money, y'all.

    Alice was going to be shattered, and absolutely not awake at a reasonable hour. But that was alright. It was a Fizzypendence Day full of memories with her Pokemon family and plenty of friends and acquaintances, and that was what they had all fought for, right?

    'eeeeeeeeeeeey! No big special RP post (at least not yet, I dunno) but at least I'll do something for now!

    Mélina, along with her Pokémon, will first stick to the sidelines and watch the Parade (she's too shy to actually get on a float with all eyes on her), then she'll be mostly watching the light show along with a pretty pink glow stick in the Rave! (Dancing may or may not be included, depending on how brave she's feeling.)

    Not gonna RP until after the rewards are given out, but I'll be sharing a picnic with my silly gluttons before letting them loose in the eating competition. Then I'll have some of my more romantic Pokemon enjoy the bonfire (as well as more food) as they snuggle with each other!

    I will also hold off on the RP for now, but Hugo is FEELING SPORTY! so he and his Pokemon will be participating in the Decathalon. And then what better way to recover from a strenuous athletic event than with a Rave. Wild dancing included.

    Onto the Parade and the Fireworks Show!

    Irwin casually strolled with their Pokémon through the crowds as the group headed towards the Parade. Carrot, the Eevee, would preferred a less cluttered area so she could run, but here on the crowded streets she restrained herself. Even so, she was in the lead, and kept herself busy by observing all the people and vendors around her. Taro, the Stunky, waddles along at the back of the group. The warm sun felt good on their dark coat and there were enjoyable savory smells coming from the food trucks they passed. Taro drooled a little. Tiramisu, the Lopunny, wandered more so than the others. At the moment he was directly behind Irwin. Irwin heard the crinkle of a wrapper and turned around. “What do you have in your mouth?”

    “Hm-Mm,” The Lopunny shook his head but was too slow in hiding the wrapper behind his back. Irwin sighed, but what could you do? They were headed towards a parade, after all. Getting street candy was the entire point. Carrot reached the edge of the sidewalk by the temporary guardrails. The parade would go through the street right in front of them. Irwin and Tira caught up and stood next to Carrot. Tira swallowed his candy. “I gained a level!”

    “That was a butterscotch,” corrected Irwin.

    “Nuh-uh.” To demonstrate his new strength, Tira play-boxed towards Irwin. Irwin pretended to punch back and the two roughhoused. Carrot ran around them while yipping. Taro finally caught up and rushed in to give everyone a good lick across the face. The sound of a marching band started up indicated the beginning of the parade, causing Tira to dash to the guardrail. Carrot peaked out from below, in front of the Lopunny, while Taro stood behind. Irwin stayed seated on the sidewalk with their legs crossed.

    Much later, after night had fallen, the group had relocated to the Plaza. Here, the crowds had thinned out considerably, and those that remained sat waiting for the Firework Show to begin. Irwin rolled out a beach towel over a patch of grass. Carrot had a light-up pinwheel in her mouth and ran excitedly with it. Tiramisu stood nearby and wagged a sparkler in the air. Taro stood next to Irwin, but noticed something and strolled away. Irwin sat comfortably on the towel, worn out from such a long day. “Et’s dead!” Tira’s sparkler was worn out too. Irwin opened the box and handed Tira another one. Tira partially activated Fire Punch, which was just enough heat to light the new sparkler. Tira stepped back onto the concrete and began waving the new sparkler around. Taro returned with an abandoned glowstick they had found. The Stunky felt bad that the shiny sticks had been left behind. Carrot ran by in a flash. Taro wandered away again and returned with another glowstick. Irwin got out a new sparkler in anticipation and Tira came over to snatch it. Taro returned and dropped three more glowsticks onto the towel. Irwin worried that if the fireworks didn’t start soon, they would be too buried under glowsticks to see them.

    Wear black to the intervention.
    Wear black back to the car.
    Wear black wherever I go.
    Wear black wherever you are.

    It was the one year anniversary since the old League had fallen. So much had changed, since then. Tate could still remember the chaos in the first few months following the reconstruction. It was during those early days that Tate had helped to find homes for dozens of displaced Pokemon, bringing meaning to an equally upended life. Tate had met a lot of good friends at the Adoption Center, including Niho, Maka & Paka, Pena, and numerous others. Tate had made a home in the woods, living in a tree house like an unwashed hippy, and had accumulated around 40 Pokemon to care for -- life was hectic, but it was good, and Tate was happy to see the region flourishing again.

    Dressed in dark, skinny denim jeans and an over-sized, black long-sleeve t-shirt with a superhero motif, Tate wandered a bit aimlessly through the streets. In tow was Wilikōī, a curly-eared Raichu with pale eyes and a telekinetic bent. He drifted along on Tate's heels, aflat on his own tail.

    [IMG]

    "It's a good day, Wili," Tate hummed. The trainer reeked of the herbal aroma of Pakalōlō the Oddish, eyes glazed and a bit pink around the edges. There was a small pamphlet in one of the trainer's hands, meant to inform tourists of the activities available today. "There's going to be a food-eating contest, apparently," the Johtonian hummed. "I was thinking I'd sign up. I mean... free food, right?"

    Wilikōī cooed, picking up speed and swooping past his trainer's head. He wanted free food, too! Tate sighed as he zipped past people's heads, spooking them.

    "No one likes it when you do that!" Tate yelled. Wilikōī didn't listen. They'd have to do something to work out his excess energy before the day was done. There was something about a fireworks show, with sparklers and snakes and other Pokemon-friendly stuff. Yeah, Wilikōī might like that...

    Heaving a sigh, Tate picked up the pace, chasing after Wilikōī before he got lost in the crowd.

    OOC: Attending the picnic's food-eating contest, followed by the firework's display!

    Kijo had always been an actress, even if she would never admit it. The owner of a thousand invisible masks, the former criminal had a face for every role - a line for every audience - and the world was, indeed, her stage. Though a relative newcomer to the world of Fizzytopia, Kijo had researched the land's history well before choosing to move here, and it was indeed the rebellious spirit of its people that served as inspiration. Even so, whatever role she was given, she would play it to the very best of her ability. Whether or not her partner Bia would have any acting talent remained to be seen, but the Stufful at least seemed excited by the prospect of it, as long as Kijo was the one in charge of putting on Bia's costume. The little bear may appear shy, but she had absolutely no problem breaking the fingers of any hand that came too close.

    After a bit of acting, the duo may as well crash the Rave. After all, Bia loved dancing! Bia loved bright, shiny distractions! And Kijo loved watching the blithe little bear accidentally take people out with her "dancing" (which, while graceful, also looked more like the Stufful was fighting an imaginary opponent than expressing herself). Then again, much as she was loathe to admit her love of acting, Kijo is even more loathe to admit her love of dancing... but she would be enjoying both today.

    Fizzypendence Day. Keith couldn't help but grin as he thought about it. It was hard to believe it had already been a year since it all happened- the remnants of the old Elite Four stepped down and outright vanished, throwing the region into chaos and anarchy, until people stepped up, made an effort to straighten things out, restore order, and make Fizzytopia a better place than it had ever been. And they had succeeded, to the point where the anniversary of the new Elite Four's rise to power was celebrated as a holiday in the Fizzytopia region now.

    And right now, Keith had arrived in New Fizz City to get started with the day's celebrations. "Heh, pretty awesome, right, Meowth?" grinned Keith.

    "I'll admit dis looks pretty sweet," Meowth conceded. "So, wat's first on the agenda? Ya gonna enter Crabbe in dat eatin' competition?"

    "Not gonna lie, I considered it, but," Keith started, before looking around warily. He then continued in a whisper. "...there was some... pressing business that Captain Stomach had to attend to, from what I'm told."

    "Ah," Meowth nodded. "Say no more. Well, den, wat's we doin'?"

    "We're gonna enter the Great Fizzytopian Parade," Keith grinned. "And I got the makings of our float right here," he added, holding up a Violet Cyber Ball, purple light pulsing throughout its cool design as he pressed the button to enlarge it. "Alright, Jack, come on out!" he exclaimed, tossing the ball into the air and sending out its gelatinous occupant- Keith's Ditto.

    Jack wasted no time- as usual, he Transformed himself into a copy of his Trainer, the better to communicate with Keith. "What's up?" he asked.

    "We're entering a parade, Jack, and I'd like it if you could be the float," declared Keith. "You think you're up for the task?"

    "Well, hell, I'll give it a shot," grinned the Ditto. "So what kind of float we going for here, anyways?"

    "I want to base it off of a story Grandma Masters always told me," stated Keith. "She says that when she was young, traveling Hoenn as a Trainer, she happened upon a mysterious island just east of Pacifidlog Town, one that's not always there. Mirage Island, it's called, and it's supposed to be home to Wynaut. Lots and lots of Wynaut. It's also supposed to be where Liechi Berries grow in great quantities. Grandma Masters says she caught about a dozen Wynaut on that island. She described the island to me, so listen carefully..."

    And soon, it came time for Keith Masters's float to make its way down High Street. Jack had outdone himself, resembling a large, yet still relatively miniature chunk of land jutting out of what appeared to be a couple inches of water. Sheer rock faces, and groves of Liechi trees growing atop amid tall grass.

    And standing in that tall grass was Keith Masters, dressed in a relatively unconvincing yet still stylish Wobbuffet costume. On either side of him, disguised as particularly large Liechi trees, were his Dusknoir, Peeves and Liliana, their illusory capabilities playing a huge role, not only in their own disguises, but also in what appeared to be hordes of Wynaut standing around the edge of the float, smiling and waving at the crowds. Keith had to chuckle- one of the illusory Wynaut looked like a poorly-drawn cartoon with but two or three frames of animation. "Got the whole family in on this, did you?" he smiled at his Dusknoir duo.

    "Chip's gotta start learning somewhere," Peeves shrugged. "And hey, for a first try, that ain't bad. Heh, I remember when my illusions came out like that. Keep trying, sport, you're getting the hang of it," he called out to what appeared to be a hovering chocolate chip cookie amid the tall grass. In response to this, the cartoonish Wynaut's movements became slightly more fluid, and it started looking like... well, still like a cartoon, but now like a cartoon with a better animation budget.

    Keith couldn't argue with that logic, so he simply gave a salute. "Wobbuffet!" he exclaimed in his best impression of the Patient Pokémon. Which, considering all the time he'd spent around his grandmother's many Wobbuffet, was really, really good.

    ~~~
    Following the parade, night had fallen, but by no means did this put an end to the day's festivities. Jack was no longer taking the shape of an elaborate parade float, and was very happy about this fact. He was back to looking eerily identical to Keith, walking alongside his Trainer towards Central Park, where the strangely pleasing scent of wood smoke was coming from. They each held a big bag of marshmallows and a number of long sticks.
    "I'm telling you," Keith was saying to his Ditto doppelganger. "Toasting them golden brown takes too long and the end result isn't nearly as interesting. What you want to do is... well, here, lemme show you," he said, for at that moment, they'd arrived at the Bonfire. He took a moment to send out his two Dusknoir and his Duskull, and Meowth took this moment to hop down off Keith's shoulder.
    "Alright, then," Jack said as they distributed sticks and marshmallows to the other Pokémon. "Please, by all means, demonstrate to us the proper way to toast these things, O Mr. Marshmallow Master," he grinned.
    Keith grinned back. "With pleasure," he stated, spearing a marshmallow on his stick. Turning to the flames, he stuck the marshmallow straight in there.
    Chip, the Duskull with the chocolate chip cookie-patterned cloak, gave a small gasp. "But it catch fire!" he exclaimed.
    Keith gave a small chuckle. Over the past weeks, Chip had started to pick up on human language, just as his parents had done before him. It really was nostalgic to hear a Duskull speaking like this. But he couldn't let that break his focus. "That's the whole point, Chip," Keith explained. "You watch the marshmallow carefully. We want it to ignite- aha!" he grinned, for at that exact instant, the marshmallow was ablaze. Keith withdrew the stick triumphantly from the flames and held it up, a long sugary torch burning bright in the night. "You wait a few seconds," Keith added, admiring the burning marshmallow. "You want the flames to have their effect all over... and then..." At that point, he lowered the stick, took a deep breath, and blew out the flames what engulfed his marshmallow.
    If, indeed, "marshmallow" could be considered the correct descriptive term anymore. What was once a fluffy white cylinder of sugary goodness looked more like a piece of Charcoal now.
    "...I feel my Fire-type moves gettin' stronger just lookin' at dat ting," Meowth said snarkily. "And dat's supposed ta be da right way ta cook marshmallows?"
    Keith grinned. "Looks can be deceiving," he said to Meowth. "Just gotta wait a few seconds, let it cool down enough..." And once he'd done just that, he popped the marshmallow in his mouth, savoring the strange yet delectable texture and taste that being incinerated like that had given the marshmallow. "Still tastes the same on the inside, but you get that charred crust on the outside," he said once he'd swallowed it. "Try it for yourself."
    "I try it!" Chip declared, a marshmallow already speared on his stick as he jabbed it right into the flames.
    Meowth, Peeves, Liliana, and Jack exchanged looks. They might as well, right? And so they followed suit, preparing their first marshmallows in exactly the same way as Keith had showed them. And all of them found, to their distinct pleasure and surprise, that he hadn't been kidding them- Marshmallows really did taste great like this.
    Stuff like this reminded him of Unova.
    Isaac chuckled to himself, looking around at the various floats going by for the parade. He hadn't been to anything like this since he was a little kid back in Unova. It reminded him of when his father used to take him on day trips to Castelia City, he was sure it was a parade where he had bought his first guitar. It glimmered with sentimental value, and the longing to be innocent and whole once again. Vinny and Ahri peaked out from between his legs, trying to get the best view of the floats going by. Ahri's eyes lit up in wonder as they passed, she had never seen anything like this. Isaac could see Vinny constantly leaning forward and grabbing her daughter by the scruff to prevent her from getting run over by the various passing floats.
    Isaac leaned against a building, although they were close enough to have a good spot to view the floats, they were far enough away that he would be able to do whatever he wished without disturbing others. He cupped his hands over his mouth and lit up a cigarette that was hanging between his lips. He hated thinking about his childhood, sure, it was great. But he missed it. He missed the innocent Isaac. The boy who's eyes lit up while strumming that beautiful green guitar. He was just a distant memory in Isaac's mind now. He inhaled sharply, turning his head to the side and puffing out a cloud of smoke. Although it was facing away from them, Vinny turned and gave him a stern look, almost as if to say 'those things will kill you, you know.' Isaac sighed, tossing it to the pavement and stomping it out with his foot.
    "I know." He said quietly, "I know." He murmured, looking at the floats once again. He put his hands in his pockets and watched the show, it made him happy in a bleak kind of way. He knew things could never go back to the way they were, no matter how much he wanted them to. But stuff like this allowed him to relive the past, if only for a few bleak moments. He made sure to keep his head down, these streets where the most likely place for him to get recognized as a celebrity. And god, he did not want that right now. He probably looked like an absolute wreck, but he supposed the perfect time to get wrecked was on independence day. He grinned to himself, seeing a particular float adorned in red and blue drift by. Two people dressed as Plusle and Minun waved out into the crowd, blowing kisses.
    For the first time in a long time, he felt at ease. Perfectly at home for a few fleeting moments as he watched the parade.
    ------
    When the sun began to fall, Isaac had returned a very sleepy Ahri to her Pokeball. Now, he and Vinny were free to wander the streets. He always ensured that the Leafeon stayed right by his side, as Eevee were rather valuable on the black market and he would never know what to do with himself if something terrible befell his one true love. As the two walked, Isaac noticed a sign for a concert being held in Knowledge Square. Advertised as being somewhat of a tribute to the patriotism of the region. Isaac rolled his eyes, he hated being patriotic. But hell, he loved supporting local artists. That's how he got his start after all.
    As he approached the knowledge square, he noticed various bands already setting up to preform. He must be somewhat early, he looked around and saw no familiar faces --- not that that was really a shock. He was basically in the boonies of the Pokemon region, no one far reaching would be out here. Well, no one but him.
    "Woa-h-h-h!" He heard a male voice call out, he turned to the side seeing a man eying up him and Vinny. "Yo! Is that Ugly Casanova and Vinny?" He asked, elbowing a man who was trying to set up a drumset. The men both turned, suddenly realizing that their eyes were most certainly not deceiving them. "Dude!" The first man rushed over to Isaac, holding his guitar out. "You're like, my biggest inspiration man. Like, one-hundred percent! Please sign my guitar!" Isaac smiled, Vinny chuckled to herself watching as Isaac signed the guitar in a messy scrawl of an autograph. The man then bent down, looking at Vinny. "And of course I want the adorable little heart stealer to sign it to!" Vinny looked confused, until the man produced a flat of ink --- allowing Vinny to leave her pawprint on the guitar.
    "Thanks man!" Called the man, waving to Isaac and him and Vinny went to find their seats. (With Vinny leaving one red pawprint wherever she walked). Although the concert wasn't exactly Isaac's forte, he found himself to be rather interested in one of the bands. They preformed a song with a folky spin, something that Isaac found very interesting to say the least. As they were exiting through the gift shop, Isaac turned to Vinny.
    "Do you think I could do folk? Y'know, like a new spin on my style?" Vinny shook her head, she looked sincerely unimpressed at the idea. She liked Isaac's music the way it was. Any changes would also probably deter fans. Isaac laughed to himself, rubbing her head as they made their way home.
    After catching the Parade earlier that day…
    Natsuki was headed for the Rave, determined to dance her face off after a long day of questioning whether she should’ve done the Decathlon instead. The parade was fine, but imagine what the Decathlon would’ve been like! Well, at least she knew exactly what she wanted to do for the evening’s festivities. She reached into her bag to fish out a special set of rave gloves.
    …Why was there nothing but air in the slot?
    She was about to head back to the pokemon center when she remembered to check another slot. And there they were. She slipped them over her hands, wiggling her fingers excitedly at Mochi. “Okay, it’s been a while since I used these. Help me practice. Give me a beat!”
    The makuhita remained silent, his expression unchanging.
    “You’re not helping! Hey, you! Makoto!” She pointed at the familiar fluffy-haired boy passing by.
    “Um… yes?” he softly replied. He hoped she wasn’t here for another playdate, considering how poorly the last one ended for him.
    “Gimme a beat! I gotta practice for this rave!”
    Makoto sighed with relief. He inhaled… “I can’t think of anything.”
    Natsuki groaned. “Fine, whatever! I’ll just… Oh yeah!” She took out her Pokegear from the same slot, then frantically pressed the buttons to find a song. “No, not that one! Mom still won’t tell me what it’s about…” Next song, next song, next song… “Okay, found it!” A pounding electronic beat sounded from the Pokegear’s limited audio equipment while Natsuki wiggled her fingers around for the song’s duration. A meticulous, rhythmic light show… would describe a different rave glove performance from this one. Yet she was still puffing her chest with pride. “Yep, still sharp as ever.” She marched onward to the rave.
    Mochi shook his head.
    I am depressingly short on time for creative writing but I promise I'll RP the pickup post!
    So, picking the Decathlon and Fireworks Show.
    I don't really have the time to RP this before the deadline so I'm going to just go ahead and choose the Picnic and Rave!
