Anime Have you ever watched anime subbed and dubbed?

I have watched Fairy Tail dubbed and subbed. The dubbed was actually quite good for once but of course the swearing is toned down as always.
I have also watched 1 episode of Sailor Moon dubbed and couldn't stand it because I just didn't like the sound effects or the voice acting.

I do plan on watching the dubbed of Free! as I'd like to re-watch the series as it's only short. The cast shows promise.

Black Butler, I enjoyed the dub more. It was solid and I couldn't go back to the sub

Yes, I generally try not to compare them often, but every once in a while when I rewatch a certain series I'll go either dub or sub (depending on which I watched first) and I'll inevitably think about which one I might like better, or if I like both. Like after rewatching Hetalia, Baccano, FMA (both series), and Black Butler for example, I think that the dubs were better due to the settings and the character's personalities. And likewise I prefer original Japanese language for series like KnB, Durarara, Bleach, Free, and Haikyuu for similar reasons. Otherwise though, I'm usually satisfied with both sub and dub regardless.
