As the world of Pokémon continues to grow, it can be intimidating or even overwhelming for those who have either just started their Pokémon journey for the very first time or have returned to the world of Pokémon after a long break. With that in mind, we’re looking for dedicated Pokémon players and community staff members to help build a new community specifically for those newer to the Pokémon games/franchise! This would be a place where newcomers to Pokémon can connect and relate to one another through their struggles and achievements, big and small; but also a place where players of any experience level could come to ask questions or seek out resources like guides and in-depth Pokedex entries. We are open to partnering with existing Pokemon communities down the line to build up an even greater and more accommodating community network than exists today. If you are interested in helping build up a subreddit and connected Discord server for this type of endeavour, please comment! Constructive and respectful feedback is welcomed and appreciated. Thanks for reading!

If you would like to reach out privately on another alternative platform, you can contact me on Discord (@to-whatever-end#5345) or Reddit (@to-whatever-end). Or just here. Whatever you prefer!

The questions thread on r/pokemon is pretty much this and a really great place to go to if you have Pokémon related questions in my opinion. Speaking of r/pokemon, the sub has a rotating sticky schedule including things like Rage threads and rebuild Tuesdays. Perhaps someone could contact the mods and set up a “newcomer” thread that would be focused on providing newcomers support such as suggestions for first games and resources.

Please note: The thread is from 5 years ago.
Please take the age of this thread into consideration in writing your reply. Depending on what exactly you wanted to say, you may want to consider if it would be better to post a new thread instead.
