"Heroes of Yewer, Queensfall"

~Reasons, Future of Yewer and Quarks~

The reason for The Story of Yewer is to gradually build and modify a story from several angels. Varying writing styles, moods and atmosphere are meant to be explored. With that said I will eventually convert this into a novel at some point, but to avoid copy write issues any reference to "Pokemon" would have to be removed. Though, at the moment the variety of animals in the Pokemon world make for a good character template. This will currently be the second part of the three part miniseries.

On the quirkier side, there is no "out of character" in this story. Well, there is and you are encouraged to add OOC commentary, just be aware that what you say is still a part of the story. This is due to the fact that my character Tregrenos has narrative liberties. I still retain OOC narrative, but since "The Beast" merged with my alter-ego during the first part of the miniseries, forming into the reborn Tregrenos, he has become a separate poster. Though his story-form will be oblivious to OOC and remain unaware of the future just know that his narrative persona already knows how the story is supposed to play out, that he already exists in this world, that he's trying to control your actions and that he'd like to get to know you better.

On a personal note, "RP" in itself is an unattainable goal, for regardless of how elaborate the lie we are incapable of being who we are not. Who we are shines through our characters as easily as one speaking through a paper mask. With Hu-Mon being a factor this mask is removed, allowing you a viable method of putting yourself into the story without the ruse of trying to be something you're not. Regardless of your faction choice just be aware that it is you that makes the story, not the characters you're pretending to be.

NOTE: Though this is a sign up form you are not required to fill it out. The story is designed to readily accept new posters at any time, even if it's just a single post or even OOC commentary which Tregrenos will address. To adapt to new situations, to challenge yourself and others, that is the heart of this story.

I have several possible endings in mind and they're always changing. How will you impact the land of Yewer?

~Why Pokemon?~

Consider this a formality. While the various animals make a fantastic template to base a character from its more important to represent "who" someone is, not "what" they are. "What" you are determines what you're capable of and where you most likely live, but "who" you are is what makes the story. "Who" you are determines how you utilize "what" you are.

----------------------------------------------------------

~Heroes of Yewer~
In the distant reality of Foran something went horribly wrong. Tregrenos, the "Missing One", intended to utilize Meloetta to open a portal between worlds. Her Relic Song, complimented by his mechanical knowledge and ability to warp reality around him, would allow Tregrenos to escape into the reality he saw in his visions. A world of humanoid creatures that he somehow knew of, our world. However, the Lucario Conner, Smeargle Tsaikogen and Haunchkrow Trainor would thwart these plans in an effort to save Meloetta and put an end to the monster who'd committed so many heinous crimes.

Though it was appearant that nothing they could do to the unpredictable Tregrenos could stop him Tsaikogen, who for a brief moment had entered the very mind of Tregrenos and seen his plans in full, used the last of his strength to strike Meloetta down. The halting of the song ceased the opening of the portal, but Tregrenos offered one last surprise. He gave his heart, his existence, to save Meloetta. Though not part of his origional plan Tregrenos intended to take Meloetta with him, having developed feelings for her during her captivity. The transfer was a success, Meloetta lived once again while Tregrenos faded from existence, but his tainted heart only served to corrupt Meloetta. With the corruption came a rapid madness that overtook the legendary. Her corrupted Relic Song echoed once again, reopening the portal between worlds, but the course had been thrown off. The portal instead lead her to Yewer and the chaotic energies of the portal began pulling in beings across the multiverse to Yewer where they would be transformed into Pokemon for reasons unknown.

Now, it is up to several factions. Foreigners surviving, seeking a way to return home. Natives who have been impacted by the Foreign presence who either seek to eliminate them or to find answers as to why these unnatural beings exist in their world. What role will you play in this raising conflict? Can you, the narrator, decipher the direction of the story? Will you attempt to derail or control the flow of the story? Will you survive?

Tregrenos: "Care to join me?"

~The World~
Yewer is an island nation with various climates to accommodate the beings living there. Climate plays a distinctive role in the use of powers and abilities. If you breath fire at someone the attack will be stronger in a warm environment. Abilities that do not require an element, such as Psychic attacks, cause a great deal of strain on the one utilizing them. Furthermore, abilities which can alter the climate do not exist. You can't use Sunny Day in a dark cave, but that's not to say you can't be creative in methods of boosting the power of your abilities, such as lighting yourself on fire or gradually freezing the area to drop the temperature.

In the world if Yewer the inhabitants have developed an "eat or be eaten" mentality. There are no berries like in the game or anime, though there is some flora and fauna you'd be able to find in this world. There are various birds, fish and insect which make up the lower food chain as well as a host of edible nuts, berries, fruit and vegetables.

Notable abnormal environments include a magnetized, broken mountain range to the north with levitating stones, a radioactive area to the center most mountain in Yewer that no being dares to enter, and a vast network of underground rivers that connect to a large underground lake. The underground lake is illuminated by a fluorescent fungi that is found in only one above-ground area. This area is a swamp and the only named location, "Ghostlands", where Ghost-Types tend to dwell. The spirits of the diciest are believed to be drawn to this place, but a Ghost-Type Pokemon is still considered a living being. They are born as a Ghost-Type and can die as a Ghost-Type.

Aside from the radioactive zone where not even Ghost-Types can safely enter anybody who writes about these other lands before I do will have creative liberty as to what these varying environments are like.

~Factions~
* There is no language barrier. It would seem that all creatures of this world, Native or Foreign, all hear the language they are accostomed to. It's only when a bilingual person tries to speak in a different language that their words seem to form natural animalistic noises based on their species. At least, that is what those around them would hear.

Foreigners
* The timeline of Yewer is not in line with that of other realities. Though all Foreigners were pulled into Yewer at the same time the time in which they arrived varies. New Foreigners can be arriving sometime in Yewers future, yet there are also those Foreigners who have lived in Yewer for years.

Hu-Mon
Hu-Mon are humans from this world who have been pulled into the land of Yewer. The term Hu-Mon is generally used by Natives and some Shade for not understanding what a human is. Though both Shade and Hu-Mon cause an instinctual hatered from the Natives of Yewer it is Hu-Mon who send even the most stalwart of spirit are sent into a blind rage. What creature the human becomes represents who they are inside.

* The human in question doesn't have to be you and can be totally made up. However, in Yewer these characters all have the history of being from the real world. Will you send someone in your place or are you prepared to see how deep the rabbit hole goes?

Example: The character 'B' was me. His actions were how I'd imagine reacting to Yewer and all the craziness therein.

R.I.P. B...

Shade
Shades are beings of fiction, alternate realities conceived by the human mind that have been pulled from their fictional world into the land of Yewer. Regardless of whether or not these beings were Pokemon to begin with they still cause an instinctual hatred from the Natives. However, since they weren't real to begin with the instinctual hatred can be managed by a strong willed Native in the vicinity of a Shade. Like humans, Shades, if they weren't Pokemon to begin with, are turned into the creature which best represents who they are inside.

* The Shade is most likely unaware that their respective worlds aren't real. To them, they're as real as any Hu-Mon. This makes understanding the instinctual hatred of Natives all the more difficult.

Example: Tregrenos is a being of my own creation. Desidre is a character who gradually realized her world was that of a fairy tale. Vicehied and Escavias are both from the Pokemon anime world. All these things classify them as Shades. Tregrenos is still a wild card though due to being part Hu-Mon...

Natives
Natives are generally emotionless beings who rely on instinct to survive within a world of natural law. They do not "evolve", but rather they grow over time between phases. They rely heavily on their environment and follow a strict law of nature. Should a species try to overstep its set boundaries, to break the natural law and grow as a species to overtake another, the legendaries will step in to "correct" this behavior.

However, so long have the Natives lived under these rules that they have become complacent. The introduction of this instinctual hatred toward Foreigners is new and confusing. The rage which takes over relies neither on sight nor smell, but rather vicinity. If they are near a Hu-Mon they instantly lose reason and can't stop until the Foreign presence is removed. However, for some reason this hatred isn't as potent around Shade.

There will be Natives who try to avoid Foreigners, choosing not to get too close and even working out territorial areas to avoid. There will be those who actively hunt the Foreigners, seeing the instinctual hatred as a sign of imbalance that must be cleansed from the world. Lastly, there will be those who seek answers. The later will most likely be Sages who opt to set aside the natural law for the betterment of the world.

Though Natives are Pokemon this world has caused them to adapt in new ways. Each species comes in a variety of builds and colors depending on the environment they've adapted to. This means the appearance of Natives can be as widely different as the 'Unsealed' listed below. From natural colors and stripes, to bits of tools and crude clothing, to hair colored artificially by plants. Don't limit yourself to the base design!

* If you were a Native, how would you react to these beings? Would you see them as invaders or will you seek a higher calling to deal with the obvious threat? Will you acknowledge the instinctual hatred as a just reason to kill off the Foreigners or do you see it as being unnatural and not a fault of the Foriegners?

Man-made Pokemon are not an option for Natives.

Ecosystem
Natives have varying lifestyles depending on their species, diet, climate and availability of food and water. Some species are social, others secluded or reclusive. Social creatures can range from a large herd of a variety of species to something as small as a tribal family composed of several similar species. Carnivores which rely on group efforts to hunt tend to stick to a family pack, willing to fight others of their own kind for territory. Solitary hunters may live in the general area of their species, but tend to keep to themselves and their immediate family. Though some species may adopt tools and lightly constructed housing the majority live off the land and their own natural abilities. To become too advanced would alter the way of life for everyone, after which would result in the Legendaries intervening to reset the balance. Unlike Foreigners who may appear rather plain looking the Natives have adopted different colors and builds depending on their environments

Foreigners, however, take from the traits of the world they left behind. Appearing randomly across the landscape Foreigners start an often short-lived solitary lifestyle. Those who adapt quickly to the situation will eventually be compelled to seek other Foreigners. Though Foreigners lack whatever drives the Natives crazy around them they do possess a type of sixth sense which will lead them to nearby groups of Foreigners. The larger the group the easier it is for solitary Foreigners to find it. Due to the unexplained hatred Legendaries avoid Foreigners. Though Foreigners can become a member of virtually any species, if they weren't a Pokemon already, there have been no Foreigners to take the form of a Legendary.

I'll go into what this sixth sense Foreigners have if there are several other authors within the story. If not, it can be skipped because the reason would otherwise have no meaning.

~Unique Factions~
* These categories still fall under the faction list above, but due to their unique nature they may fall under their own faction, either accepted or hated by all. These Unique Factions may be a starting point, forgoing the process of changing your character mid-story. The guidelines to becoming one of these factions are only for those who may wish to transform mid-story. Note that none of these Factions necessarily make your character stronger and are meant to add flavor to the story.

Unsealed
Unsealed are similar to Mega Evolution, but the change is permanent and is not limited by the hosts apparent form. This means a Ratatta has as much a chance of being Unsealed as a Raticate. The process of becoming an Unsealed varies, but is generally a transformation on a very personal level and meant to offer the best means of survival. Only Foreigners may Unseal on their own, but for a Native to Unseal they must first come in contact with a Corrupted or source of Corruption.

Unsealing is like a "correction" the land itself is trying to make where the hosts current form is deemed "unfitting", so they undergo the correction through a type of personality test. This test is like a trance where the host is put through a dream-like scenario where anything can happen. There is also the option of being fully awake and the unsealing test is judged based on how the individual reacts to a real situation.

Corrupted
These are beings who have developed a disease that can only be caught by coming in contact with a Corrupted or a source of Corruption, such as the stone blooms that dot the landscape from "The Beasts" rampage across Yewer. Corruption can either spread quickly or slowly throughout the host depending on their bodies natural defenses.

The Corruption spreads along the skin, turning the infected area black regardless of skin type, and will spread at a slower pace toward the inside. The Corrupted area becomes mutagenic, changing aspects of the host in a similar, all be it painful comparison to the changes seen in Unsealing. Eventually, the Corruption will spread to the brain, causing dementia and eventually total madness.

The only method of halting the spread of Corruption is to amputate the infected area. There is a cure, but depending on how far the story has progressed that cure may not be available yet.

Torment
Torments, or "Dead Ones" as most inhabitants of Yewer have come to call them, are partially modified through clockwork and weaponized enhancements. The original Torments were called so because the only word they could say was "Torment". This was an intentional design by Tregrenos who intended the mechanized creations to cause fear.

Tregrenos's original design left little organic components of the previous host and, aside from the grotesque addition of the hosts prior face, the machines were very clean and well preserved. The host maintained a living mind, but their actions were dictated by the mechanical components. The machine-portion of their body was fully functional upon completion, but due to personal beliefs Tregrenos would not unleash them without an organic mind. Tregrenos wanted the host to suffer so that anybody who may try and mentally or spiritually connect or sense these beings will know their pain.

The Torments of Yewer, however, are not of Tregrenos's design. Meloetta, having been Corrupted by Tregrenos back in the land of Foran, has developed her own method of creation within the technologically lacking land if Yewer. The mechanical portion is clockwork and steam-driven, not electrical. The mind if the host has also been tampered with, a type of mind-control. The original body is left relatively intact, though plated with steel bits and modified weaponry. Though the body is essentially dead the mind is kept alive through unknown means. Furthermore, they are all Natives and sometimes a Shade. There have been no known Hu-Mon Torments, presumably, to those in-the-know, because Meloetta used captured Hu-Mon in her experiments with "The Beast". It's possible that there are captured Hu-Mon, Natives and Shade who have yet to be modified and held prisoner until the day they are.

* Note: For this faction to be playable the character in question must either be under Meloettas mental control or to have awoken from its mental trance at the time of Tregrenos's rebirth in Yewer. This awakening is only possible due to Meloettas lack of focus during this moment.

While normal Legendaries aren't meant to be a main character a Legendary that has been turned into a Torment is. If the Legendary Torment dies they may be reborn, but the reborn Legendary is no longer a main character.

Hybrid
Its possible to be more than one of these Factions. To an extreme it's possible to be an Unsealed, Corrupted Torment. Among my characters Tregrenos counts as both Unsealed and Corrupted, so the possibilities are quite customizable.

Legendaries
The Legendaries fear both the Foran Meloetta and the corruption. To die is to be reborn, so the Legendaries do not fear death. They are reborn among a species very similar to their own, though it is no single species that births a particular Legendary. However, what these two factors do is beyond the freedom of death. The first and only Legendary of Yewer to face the Foran Meloetta, Rayquaza, was turned into a mechanical monstrosity under her control. It wasn't until "The Beast" faced Meloetta atop its back that Rayquaza was offered enough will to use several indirect Hyper Beams in an attempt to weaken itself. It luckily met its end at the hands of "The Beast" during the attack and was thus reborn into a clutch of Snivy.

Note: The Legendaries are considered a group used to add flavor to the story, yet are not considered fully controllable by the writer. You can write for them in terms of interaction or for future story relevance, but may not consider one of them as a main character. The only exception to this is the Foran Meloetta who already has a large role to play in the story.

For a Legendary to qualify as a main character see the Torment rules above.

~Character Description~
* Remember, it is not a requirement to post a character description. This form is only for listing a character you want to go into detail about. Whether you just want to cement your characters existence within the story, want to give an easily accessible reference to a particular character or simply wish to do so out of courtesy to forum tradition. You may list what you want, but this is an example you may utilize.

~Roles and Story Progression~
* Though the story is open to writing whatever you want here are a few themes I'll be using that can incorporate others who wish to start off following the story or gradually build toward.

Queensfall: Meloetta has posed a threat to this world. The Legendaries fear her for her ability to twist the minds and bodies of those brought to any of her horrible factories dotting the land of Yewer. She is the enemy of Native and Foreigner alike and may be the key to everyone returning home.

Call of The Sage: With the influence of the hatred that overcomes Natives there have been those who have been "awakened". This enlightenment, controlled aggression or fear for their very world has lead to the adaption of more "Sages" among the Natives as well as the older Sages becoming more active. To set aside the natural law and seek greater answers, that is the way of the Sage.

Descent into Madness: The process of being Corrupted can either be quick or slow. How would you deal with a character gradually losing their identity to this mutagenic disease?

Reasurection: Meloettas Torments, "Dead Ones" to most, have had a moment of clarity at the time of Tregrenos' revival. How would you handle waking up to see your body eaten away by wrot and patched with crude metallic plating? Would you even know who you were before or would you seek to start a new life? Will you be driven by fear or vengeance?

Survive: Are you a Foreigner or a Native just trying to survive in this dimming world? How are you surviving? Do you seek to work with others or do you prefer to keep to yourself?

~RISK and CHALLENGE~
During a post the author may initiate a RISK. This allows someone else to effect the authors story direction. The author does lay some guidelines to adhere to the RISK but must leave enough variable room for error, otherwise there is no point in calling it. This is to add an unpredictable factor to the authors story.

Furthermore, in response to a RISK the author answering the call may initiate a CHALLENGE. The CHALLENGE is like a COUNTER-RISK in that those whom respond may set alternative guidelines to the one calling a RISK. Perhaps the challenger sees opportunity that the risky author may not have thought of that might add a deeper level to the story. Perhaps the challenger wishes to alter the fate of a character where they feel strongly enough to warrant seeing something happen to them. Perhaps the challenger is just being a troll and wants to see if the risky author can take on the CHALLENGE.

Regardless of the situation, respect the call and the answer. Before initiating a RISK it is important that the author has enough control over the story and foresight into possible outcomes to not regret their decision.

I've utilized RISK in the past through a voting process outside of the story. Should there be too few authors within the story I will continue this practice. These guidelines are in regard to their being several authors.

~In Memoriam~
*** Patsy Porter ***
4/13/1933 - 1/21/2015

"I should have thanked you for being the mother I couldn't have, but in doing so would seem as if I were saying 'goodbye'. Even now, without you here, it doesn't feel real. That your still a part of my life, that I should text what's happening to my sister and ask how you are doing.

I wish I could say that there is a void in my life, that I miss you. That I could finally say 'goodbye' or feel anything for the loss.

However, it just doesn't feel as if you've left..."

In her final coherent moments she spoke of absolute brilliance. In that, with her shining moment of enlightenment, she will live on in story. She unknowingly effected the Story of Yewer I'd planned. Breathing depth to the story beyond my limited scope.

This is my drive to novelize the story.

Re: Heroes of Yewer: Queensfall (Series 2)

For now, you can consider Tregrenos and Meloetta to be your villains. Tregrenos may have the Foreigners he's traveling with fooled, but he is still the same person who committed such atrocities in Foran and destruction is in his very nature.

Tregrenos
Name: Tregrenos, "The Missing One", "The Vile One", "The Nothingness" ... "Hero"

Species: MissingNO. ( The idea for what/who he is and his bizarre abilities was based on "How would a glitch exist in the real world?" )

Faction: Shade and Hu-Mon ( Corrupted Unsealed )

Appearance: A tall, humanoid figure. His long legs and arms and skinny build cause him to appear rather lanky. He has a bulbous head with unnaturally large teeth to his wide grin. His eyes glow orange like burning embers with a ringed iris and lack of pupils. His body is mostly black, but his face and parts of his chest and stomach are white. His chest is wrapped tightly by the six tendrils which sprout from his back. The wrapped tendrils cause his posture to remain straight and his chest puffed out. This gives his overall stance a prideful or boastful appearance. To those who knew his Foran appearance this is a rather drastic set of changes. No longer is he a twisted puppet, but a living being.

When unfurled his chest is as thin as the rest of his body. The tendrils can either fully extend for dexterous use or may flatten out to form tsudo-wings. The wings remain partially wrapped around his chest. When utilized these "Helix Wings" allow him to fly. Though he is not particularly fast in his airborne form he is dexterous and can dance with the unpredictability of a butterfly caught in a sharp breeze.

He would rarely unfurl his tendrils completely, for they conceal a secret.

History: From a time before Foran, before reality, there was nothing. Then suddenly, something happened. That something spread, creating more something from nothing. Branching out across not one reality, but countless with varying rules which would gradually cement to form different, perfect realities separate from one another due to the differing rules in which these realities existed. Due to the ever changing rules some realities would merge, temporarily or permanently.

For the reality of Foran, Mew would be the embodiment of the first "something". She would go on to create worlds and life. The more "something" she created the less "nothing" which remained, thus shifting the balance of this realities rules. In a similar fashion the "nothing" formed a new "something". A something which would return all back to nothingness. These something were a specter-like legion of tendrils who were designed to destroy. However, the something which existed before them was much more developed, nullifying their purpose. Over time, the hive mind of these tendrils would come together, merging until they were solid enough to interact with reality.

This new being, birthed from the necessity to destroy, was the anti-life. This being would go on, destroying much but ultimately being limited by the rules of this reality as to how great of an impact it would have over the course of history. Species died out, lands vanished, but life would go on. Life would become stronger from the act, but such strength had its limits. The anti-life, having developed a mind of its own separate from the hive mind, realized that its existence was pointless. For all it could do it knew time itself would eventually destroy everything. All things would die, the reality would eventually shatter, then all that would remain is the nothingness.

Tregrenos: Such a boring existence. To know ones role is fulfilled merely by waiting. For several generations I waited patiently, watching the world slowly collapse around me. I longed for more, for purpose, realizing that I had become that which I'd set out to destroy. I'd became something, someone, and yet the voices commanded me to destroy.

Fine, if that is to be my purpose then destroy I shall! And yet, it will be via my own terms. I will give the wretched, weak existence a glorious death. A memory which I, the last who will remain, shall remember when eternity becomes nothing more than a passing memory!

When death looms over you weep not for the end of you're days, but smile and cheer as you exit the stage in grand fashion! Take a bow, accept the applause and know that you gave the good show!

That was my belief, my purpose... I would remember you.

Bonus Information: Tregrenos was reborn when the Shade "The Beast", Tsaikogen, devoured the Bunnelby Hu-Mon "B". Unknown to Tsaikogen, "The Beast", this Bunnelby was me, his creator. Though he knew not who I was there was something that instinctively compelled "The Beast" to hunt me down. Due to Tregrenos being the origin of the corruption and Tsaikogen having already become a part of Tregrenos' mind at one point back on Foran the Unsealing he underwent surfaced this latent part of him.

He is both Shade and Hu-Mon. And yet, is he truly Tregrenos? Tregrenos is exploring new sensations, having never been alive before. Taste, smell, touch, all things are new and he is loving it. Furthermore, he is no longer being compelled to destroy due to no longer being tied to the legion of tendrils. How long will these jollies last before he returns to his old ways? That depends on the course of the story.

As for his abilities, Tregrenos is deceptive. He has a silver tongue as sharp as the blade he wields. The blade itself is completely black, thin, much like himself. It is a straight sword with a guarded handle, something designed to parry and spar with. He is able to pull this sword from within his sleeve-like arms. His body can be somewhat reshaped, though it is solid and such shapes are limited to extensions and retractions of his base form. During his attack after being reborn Tregrenos has shown to retain the impressive regenerative abilities "The Beast" had before him. During Foran, while controlling the legion of invisible tendrils, his powers seemed to be that which manipulate reality. Here, in Yewer, his reborn form seems to carry with it a changing aura. Though he lacks the ability to "manipulate reality" that he once had he does have an emotional control over those around him. Such a power leaves to question whether or not the Foreigners he travels with now truly think of him as a hero or if it is something this aura compels them to think.

Meloetta
(Placing this here for reference.)

Name: Meloetta

Species: Legendary

Faction: Shade

Appearance: Meloettas small body is mostly encased within a mechanical suit made from salvaged wreckage of the ship she'd arrived in. With eight wired legs and a set of retractable claws she resembles a large spider. All that is revealed of Meloetta is her head and shoulders. While one eye remains unchanged the other, which she hides with her matted, unkempt hair, glows a bright orange. This glow is much the same as Tregrenos, though she lacks the ringed iris and has a barely visible pupil. When she felt the rebirth of Tregrenos she began wearing ash on her face and darkening her eyes and lips with oil. This "makeup" is unsteady and runs, causing her to look as if she's been crying.

History: Meloetta is a Legendary from Foran. During the exodus, a time when most of the Legendaries were leaving the world, Meloetta chose to remain. She knew of the conflict between the two warring factions over the loss of the Legendaries and intended to confront the LCF (Legendary Capture Force) with the truth in hopes of ending this conflict.

While en route she met with a group of LCF. They agreed to escort her to their capital. The next morning, as Meloetta awoke, her escort had vanished within a thick layer of fog. She was aproached by a talk figure who wore a bag over his head with a zipper grin. Though frightening at first the figure proved to be most gentlemanly, introducing himself as "Tregrenos, master of the staged arts." He bowed and explained the war situation and how it was unsafe to remain so vulnerable. He agreed to take her to his factory while he smoothed things over enough that she could safely explain the situation herself. With an extension of his open palm Tregrenos asks to take Meloettas hand. She agrees and he leads her away, an unrealistically short trip which takes her to his factory. She never saw that within the fog her escort had been cut down...

She felt compelled to believe him...

Weeks turned to months. Meloetta remained captive, living mainly in a spherical room with painted skies, artificial sun and metallic, painted plants. A bird in a gilded cage. There were mechanical songbirds to keep her company, but she would grow restless. She'd lost track of how long she'd been in that room, as if time stood still between Tregrenos' visits. Escaping her guards was rather easy, as if she was not meant to leave of her own free will. As she traversed the empty, snaking hallways she would feel the presence of Raiku and Entai. Upon finding them, however, she learned of Tregrenos' experiments with Torments. Though, she learned only of the story Tregrenos told her. About how he was trying to save them from near death.

She felt compelled to believe him...

When the crisis above shook the capital Tregrenos explained to Meloetta how unsafe this world had become, not telling her that he was the cause of the crisis. From his experiments with the Legendary canines he learned of their methods of leaving the world. He explained to Meloetta his plan to leave this world, to a place he'd seen echoing through space and to e, to a world of water and dirt and dominant beings who walked as humanoids do. He showed her his invention, a device that would amplify her Relic Song to cut the veil between realities. He would escape this world and wanted her to accompany him on this fantastic journey.

She felt compelled to believe him...

During Meloettas Relic Song, at the climax of the conflict on Foran, Tsaikogen ran Meloetta through with Tregrenos' blade. The fatal act halted her Relic Song and whatever plans Tregrenos had, but the now unleashed Tregrenos would not let this be the end. It wasn't the loss of his escape from this world, but the loss of the one who he wished to flee with. While holding Meloettas limp body close Tregrenos reached within himself and removed his very essence. He placed it upon the wound in her chest and pressed inward, causing the essence to fuse with Meloettas waning spirit. The act was a success, but as Meloetta awoke Tregrenos was nowhere to be found. She had little memory of recent events, but would quickly become corrupted by Tregrenos' essence. With her new found strength and maddening mind she takes Tsaikogen by the throat and continues her Relic Song. However, the song had become corrupted and the portal between worlds fragmented across various realities. The portal fragments pulled in those caught in the random vortex and delivered them to the unintended destination of Yewer.

While on Yewer Meloetta took up much of Tregrenos' prior work, though she lacked true direction and skill. Tsaikogen became her plaything, forcing him to shift his form repeatedly on Hu-Mon in an attempt to reveal who or what they truly were. Tsaikogen would fight back as best he could, the corruption gradually taking his entire body.

He would cry out that he had not what she desired, but she didn't feel compelled to believe him...

Bonus Information: The corrupted Meloetta is the Legendary from Foran. There is another Meloetta in this world, a Native. The Foran Meloetta caused the rift between worlds, but could the Native Meloetta, with the aid of Tregrenos' broken invention, be the key to returning everyone home? Does this corrupted Meloetta retain the ability to cross worlds and has decided to remain in Yewer or does she lack this ability? It's obvious she's gone mad, but is she beyond salvation?

How will you deal with this threat to both Foreigner and Native? Will you rise against her, try to save her, or will you become another slave?

Re: Heroes of Yewer: Queensfall (Series 2)

U'sung
Name: U'sung (oo-sung)

Species: Infernape, Savannah Breed

Faction: Native

Appearance: Being born and raised within the Savannah for several generations her Infernape bloodline had lost it's natural fire. Her fur is a pale yellow with slightly darker stripes, making her an effective hunter among her tribe of apes within the Savannah flora. Her possessions, at the time of this writing, are used to better take on the appearance of a Sage of old. She currently needs to use a driftwood cane to deal with a healing leg, she drapes herself with abandoned spider silk and various patches of fur shed from the rodents whom picked her friends bones clean. She carries several smaller belongings within a pouch of woven, large leaves. As she travels she adds to her makeshift cloak with what the other tribes may spare.

History: Though her bloodline had lost it's natural fire U'sung is still capable of utilizing extreme heat. During the fight with "The Beast" she was able to douse herself with a flammable liquid and ignite her body. Though the process was initially painful her body was able to cope with the sudden heat. Upon losing the fire, however, she became very weak and passed out. She would awaken later, having been carried downstream from a river and washed ashore with a broken leg. She knows not what had happened to bring her to this conclusion nor what had happened to "The Beast" she'd fought.

Bonus Information: Though her bloodline had lost it's natural fire her daughter, Epho, maintained a pink glow to her. Though her late son had much in common with her appearance her daughter takes on the coloration of her Ambipom father, giving her Chimchar fur a pink coloration. U'sungs name, species and the inevitable use of a cane were derived from the character "Sun Wukong", or "The Monkey King", from the story "Journey To The West".

Ti-Ron
Name: Ti-Ron (T-Iron)

Species: Darmanitan

Faction: Native, Sage

Appearance: Ti-Ron is a very old Darmanitan. His fur is completely white and shagged with age. Despite this, he retains a powerful figure. He is quite large, even by Darmanitan standards, and his cunning spans the ages. He carries nothing with him that isn't given to him by those whom heard his recent call. Several tufts of fur, bones and feathers were brought to him and sewn together with webbing to create a cloak displaying various species markings. He does this out of custom to show that he is a Sage to other species who would hear him out.

History: Ti-Ron had prolonged his life through the extended use of his natural Zen Mode. While his body hardened to stone he found himself capable of communing with the land and thus became a silent watcher. Though Sage normally live solitary lives Ti-Ron was watched over by a tribe who worshiped his stone form and the wisdom he brought to them. Apes of various breeds would be his family and he spent his waking moments teaching the young and old alike the ways of the Sage.

Bonus Information: Ti-Ron's name and imposing figure is derived from an older story I'd created featuring a Celestial Bear by the name of T'Iron. Though I took much of this characters personality to make Ti-Ron I maintained a "caring father figure" aspect in terms of how he relates to others. While his large form may seem intimidating to most his kindly dimeaner should put others at ease. Still, should you find yourself facing such an oponent do not let his age fool you. He is still quite powerful.

Through excessive studying through Zen Mode Ti-Ron has developed a tolerance to the Foreigners, at least in terms of Shade, but is capable of identifying Hu-Mon and knows to stay away from them. While he may spiritually be able to communicate with them while in Zen Mode he knows that getting too physically close would result in his maddening.

Re: Heroes of Yewer: Queensfall (Series 2)

Please reserve me a spot. I wish to join this. I may have questions regarding my sign-up, as this is quite a lot of information to take in.

Re: Heroes of Yewer: Queensfall (Series 2)

PM me with any questions may have. The story was designed to take in new authors at any time, so there's no rush. I have an idea of where to start, but gonna fine tune the prologue over a few days. It's gotta be something that recaps the events of the last series, yet maintains the new direction of the story.

Re: Heroes of Yewer: Queensfall (Series 2)

I'd like to reserve a spot, please?

Re: Heroes of Yewer: Queensfall (Series 2)

Reservations aren't necessary. This form is for those who want to fill it out rather than have to introduce their character through story alone or for those who wish to adhere to forum tradition. If you have a character in mind already feel free to post it before the story starts.

Re: Heroes of Yewer: Queensfall (Series 2)

An old RPer is going to post his characters here. And the old RPer is ME. :)

Name: Conner

Species: Lucario

Faction: Shade, Foreigner

Appearance: Same as a standard Lucario, except he has a black tip to his tail, and also has a long red scarf

History: After the events of the Old Foran Disaster, Conner followed Meloetta through the portal. And after meeting with the Zoroark T' Kran, they are on a quest to find Meloettta and brign her back to normal. But, Conner also wishes to return back to New Foran. From Historius' sad news. It is impossible to escape Yewer willingly. Or is it?

Bonus Information: Conner has a special device called a Viewer, which lets him communicate with Historius and the Foran region. Keep this in mind...

Name: T' Kran

Species: Zoroark

Faction: Native

Appearance: After his training with Ramules, T' Kran looks like a regular Zoroark, except for a color shift. Color Palette Changes: Grey- -Light Brown; Black- -Dark Brown; Red- -Green. He also retains his bark ring (which replaces the blue ring worn by other Zoroarks) that he gotten from his tribe, the Mosskind.

History: T' Kran was a newly mature Zoroark hunting for some prey when he encountered Conner. He had never seen a Foreigner before, so after some approval (and disapproval) of his elders, T' Kran followed and eventually became semi-allies with him. After exiting the forest, T' Kran had found an old teacher that his father had known, a Master of Illusion named Ramules. Conner left to pursue where he had seen Meloetta, and during he days he was gone, T' Kran trained. Eventually he finished, and he ran after Conner to assist. The rest is in the Story of Yewer, and now he will continue to hunt down Meloetta.

Bonus Information: As he is a Native, the Fury of Yewer still lives in him, so he has to be careful when getting close to Conner. There is something different about him besides the fact he wishes to discover what Melotta's purpose is. Not many creatures strive for knowledge anymore. Could he be one of them?

Alright, first off, these next characters are freely controllable, which I will transfer from the previous section of this RP

Name: Xarnem

Gender: Male

Species: Noivern

Faction: Native/Foreigner (Read the backstory, and you'll see why.) Freely controllable

Physical Appearance: The same as a regular Noivern, only his body is scabbed and rotted in many areas, and his voice is very hoarse and scratchy

History: It is unknown how Xarnem first ended up in Foran, but when he was a Noibat, he mysteriously was transported, and away from the influence of the cursed region, he was confused at what the Pokémon in Foran were doing. Eventually, a family of Crobats took him in, and even if they raised him as if he was their own. But he remembered his tribe's legends, customs, and most importantly, the name of his home region.

When the Legendary Capture Force rose to power, he ignored his foster parents' wishes, and joined it, remembering how the legendaries never helped his region, and by then he was a fully grown Noivern, at the peak of his maturity. He, after showing his usefulness to Darcius' men, was made into a lieutenant of Fort Secrecy. He was always sent on missions to discover legendaries, and to stop the LSS advances. But, there was always one Pokémon who got in his way, and ruined his plans: Conner.

After many futile attempts to stop the LSS, he was demoted to a simple assistant to the researchers in Fort Secrecy, several days before the attack on the Fort. Then, after the attack, he roamed the region, until the gas started killing everything. Then, he headed to the one exit out of the region, and after the hole was sealed, he was left behind, and he was slowly infected by the gas. Over the hours, he did finally dig himself out, and sealed the hole back up. Then, he went searching for Conner, his crazed mind thinking it was his fault that he suffered this fate.

He has brought with him a pack of vicious Noivern Hunters to follow him in his pursuit of Conner. Keep that in mind.

Bonus information: With his returning to Yewer, from his long stay in Foran, his body is confused on what he is, a foreigner or a native. Now Yewer considers him more of a Native now after some recuperation.

Name: Ramules

Species: Zoroark

Faction: Native

Appearance: A standard looking Zoroark, but he is extremely ancient, shown by his grey and white fur.

History: Ramules used to be a ferocious hunter in the lands of Yewer, terrorizing the many tribes and clans in the many environments. Alogn the way, he had collected a variety of old writings which had felt a need to protect wit hhis life. Now that he is older and wiser, he has settled down to the life of a Sage. After teaching T' Kran the secrets of Illusion, Ramules must use the Prophecy of the Masters of Aura, Illusion, and Once-Evil to settle the region of Yewer.

Bonus Information: None, for now.

[Reserved for more characters]

Re: Heroes of Yewer: Queensfall (Series 2)

Name: Illhya

Species: Zoroark

Faction: Native

Appearance: She looks the same as any other Zoroark, but instead of being tied back into a ponytail, her hair is a free and wild mane.

History: She's a lone hunter, living in the dark forests of Yewer. Aside from her only child, a Zorua, she cares for nothing, but she would die before she let any harm come to him.

Bonus Information:

Name: Lire

Species: Zorua

Faction: Native

Appearance: One of his eyes is red instead of blue and it sparkles and shines in the darkness.

History: Lire has lived with his overprotective Zoroark mother his entire life, learning how to cast illusions and hunt. He has no idea where his father is and his mother has never addressed the subject.

Bonus Information: Are these Signups alright? I'm not experienced with this sort of RP.

You're on the right track, but Lucarioknight56 already set a basis for the Zoroark species. The only thing you'd need to change is the "illusion" casting. Ti-Kran, Lucarioknights Zoroark, was unable to cast illusions, like the rest of his tribe, without the teachings of a Zoroark Sage.

You could incorporate some prior training from an old master, but Zoroark in this world don't naturally have the illusionary ability, yet are capable of learning it. Like all non-elemental special abilities Illusionary effects would cause a strain on those using them, something the mother may be adept at handling yet the young one may struggle with maintaining.

Just spitballing some ideas. I didn't write the Zoroark species lore.

Re: Heroes of Yewer: Queensfall (Series 2)

Name: Chang'e

Species: Grovyle

Faction: Shade, Foreigner

Appearance: Chang'e is a rather tall Grovyle, slender and skinny. The leaf atop his head is crimson, unlike normal Grovyle. His eyes are also an icy blue color. Other than that, nothing else about him seems out of the ordinary.

History: Chang'e has amnesia, and therefore cannot remember how he got to Yewer.

Bonus Information: N/A

Name: Ari

Species: Metagross

Faction: Native

Appearance: Nothing short of a usual Metagross, though Ari is unusually large and is covered in battle scars. One eye is silver, while the other is dark crimson.

History: Ari has lived by himself in the mountains filled with levitating stones, of which he has recently left. He seeks the path of a Sage.

Bonus Information: N/A

Re: Heroes of Yewer: Queensfall (Series 2)

I've posted Tregrenos' and Meloettas character sheets and will start working on the story itself next. I'll PM those who've replied when it starts. I'll post the updated and new character sheets over time, though some I won't fully speak of until their secrets are revealed in tale.

I'm at work ATM, but will edit the rules to allow Legendaries to be playable. However, the only way a Legendary can be considered someone's main character is if that Legendary has already been turned into a Torment. If the Legendary Torment dies it can be reborn, but you would lose it as a main character. Note that due to the somewhat clunky design of Meloettas Torments your Legendary may be significantly weaker than normal.

Re: Heroes of Yewer: Queensfall (Series 2)

The story has begun. The story may be joined at any time and sign ups aren't mandatory.

"Heroes of Yewer, Queensfall"

Note: It starts off in first person, but I'll only be using this method of story telling if Tregrenos controls the post. While posting as PiccocoX the story will be in 3rd person.
