Not much light was shed by the crescent moon in the sky, but the two figures could see well enough to make out their opponent standing across the schoolyard.

"Why do I keep being attacked here?" the girl asked as she tightened her grip on the kitchen knife she held. "It wasn't my choice to come to this town. I just want to be happy."

The boy gave a hollow laugh. "Happiness? This town is anything but. It's futile to hope for, so I suppose I'll just have to put you out of your misery." He adjusted the bat in his hands as he prepared for his attack.

"Will you? You do realize that I don't intend to let you go unharmed."

"Muu. I'm prepared for that."

"I've located our target for tonight. However..."

"Yes? Is there a problem?"

"Well... he's already dead. Stabbed in the abdomen with a kitchen knife, it looks like."

"...Fufufu."

"Major?"

"So they've already done our dirty work for us? Very well. We'll back off for tonight, then."

"Roger that."

Occurs to me that the decription of Iteru's role may have been inaccurate/misleading. It should have been this:

He was able to instantly kill a player once certain conditions were met.
