RP Everyone Hoenn Adventure [Members only!]

When Kane whistled he could hear a lot of noise in the grass as though a lot of Pokemon hurried away scared by the loud noise. He stood there confident among the taller grass. Kane noticed a few bystanders turn their heads towards him.

Suddenly there was a louder rustle of the bushes and trees... A few branches nearby fell next to the young trainer as tough cut with a blade. He didn't have to wait too long to see why. A giant insect with sword-like arms flew through the air and trees reacting to his call. The Pokemon swung its arm again in Kane's direction. He was in trouble now.

[ You can choose to use your Pokedex to scan Pokemon like in the anime to get more info about them. ]
It turned out that Kane's whistling did not go quite as planned, scaring away many of the smaller Pokémon. But one big Pokémon, one with sword-like arms, rose to the call and challenged Kane.

"Whoa!" Kane exclaimed, fumbling inside his pocket for his Pokédex. "Now that's an interesting Pokémon! Pokédex, scan this one," he said as he pulled out his Pokédex and held it in front of the presumably Bug-type. The screen loaded as it processed the sighting.

As the Pokédex rattled off its entry, Kane took Absol's Ultra Ball out of his pocket, ready to send her out if the situation called for it.

Scyther, the Mantis Pokémon. A Bug and Flying-type. It confuses its prey with its quick, ninja-like movements. Then, in an instant, it cleaves them with its scythes.
Gender: Male
Ability: Technician
Level: 7
Scyther seemed even more annoyed by the Pokedex and landed opposite to Kane, presenting his arms in an aggresive stance. It looked as though he was getting ready for a fight, pretty annoyed by being startled.

Kane analyzed the Pokédex entry, and after giving it a good look, nodded. "Cool," he said. He then looked up at the Scyther, which was clearly raring for a battle. Kane knew Absol was at a type disadvantage here, but Scyther was normally a rare Pokémon—too good to pass up! It was worth a try.

"Alright, Absol, let's go!" Kane exclaimed, sending his first Pokémon out of her Ultra Ball, Absol landing on the ground to face her opponent. She looked back at Kane as if to say, Are you sure?

"Of course I'm sure!" Kane assured Absol. "We've got to at least try!"

Absol nodded wordlessly, ready for orders.

"Then let's get started! Absol, use Punishment!" Kane pointed forward for emphasis. "And after that, Me First!"

The Disaster Pokémon immediately jumped into action, a dark purple aura surrounding her body as she attempted to strike the Scyther with her horn. Normally, Punishment was exceptionally strong only if the target had its stats boosted, but it could still do respectable damage even if not. (60 Base Power without stat changes from either side, to be exact.)

Budew, the Bud Pokemon. A dual-type Grass/Poison baby Pokémon. When it feels the sun's warm touch, it opens its bud to release pollen. It lives alongside clear pools.
Gender: Male
Ability: Natural Cure
Level: 5
The Pokedex buzzed to life and produced information about the small Pokemon. That seemed unusual since there was no pools of water nearby. Maybe it was not local. Budew came closer to the coordinator and put one of his small legs on Tally's pack. It seemed interested in the food inside.

Tally looked around, not having expected a Budew. She looked at the Daycare building Jay went into, ‘Maybe he’s escaped?’ She thought to herself, noting that he was a baby Pokémon.

Tally’s thought process was cut off by a light pressure being placed on her bag. The Budew was curious about her bag it seemed. Trying to restrain herself from gushing about how cute she found the whole scene, she gently opened the bag, pulling out a Sitrus Berry and a Pokéball. She spoke in her softest tone, “Hey, are you hungry?” She held the berry out, offering it to the Budew. “I can promise you that there’ll be even more if you’d be willing to come with me.” She held the Pokéball out in her left hand, deciding to let the Budew choose what he wanted to do.

Jay moved closer to the desk that the lady was standing behind.

"Hello, I just got this egg recently and I just wanted to ask if I can get an egg care here" Jay really hoped that she can get it here. It would be way safer for the egg if she aquired one.

The woman walked closer to examine your egg, very interested. The golden Swablu on her shoulder flew behind Jay, morphing into a green Taillow mid-flight.

"Oh, you will need to put this in an incubator, honey." The woman said, grabbing Jay by the arm and guiding her to the backdoor. She opened the door letting Taillow fly away and guided Jay through.

She saw a lot of things at once. A huge garden with a million of Pokemon, all in areas resembling their natural habitat and a lake that Jay assumed was housing water Pokemon. The woman didn't miss a bit and followed a small path to another house. There was an old man standing next to it, crouched over a patch of grass.

"That's where we keep things for new eggs," she said. "You have to be careful though. There are Mantines breeding inside. Don't disturb them."

Kane VS Wild Scyther
The Scyther was pushed backwards by Absol's attack which only served to make him more mad. He flew forward showing off his long blades. His arms collided with Absol. Kane could recognize the attack as Counter but it failed to connect. Scyther then flew forwards using Quick Attack. Absol was pushed down by the huge blades but still used Me First as intended.

The Budew took the berry from Tally's hand but did not indicate he understood her words. The small Pokemon seemed to be getting very comfortable with the young coordinator and even came closer to Elly. Budew was clearly interested in making friends but still a little too shy for contact with a fellow Pokemon. He sat down near Tally's bag, his little legs dangling in the air as he munched on the berry.

Tally just smiled at the scene before her. She was probably being too direct with such a young Pokémon, she would likely have to take things slowly. She could possibly take advantage of how he was distracted by eating the berry. But she kept that as a last resort, there was still a chance he could break out, and even if he didn’t, she did not want them to start off on the wrong foot. Wanting to make some progress with him though, she slowly reached out and gently pet the grass type as he ate.

Seeing as he didn’t seem to understand her, Tally wondered if Elly could possibly convince him to join their team. After quietly motioning for the Mawile to come closer, Elly walked up and gave the Budew a cheerful greeting, while Tally watched to see how things would play out.

Jay followed the changing pokemon out. There were few pokemon that could do such a thing but that wasn't what made Jay so interested in it. She had never seen one before but whatever the pokemon original form was it was shiny which was a rare sight. The only thing that could take her eyes of it was the sight of the garden that she found herself in when she finally crossed through the door. Jay looked around awe-struck this place looked like a paradise. That many pokemon in one place she didn't see in a while. This place was like a dream come true. After the lady guided her to the shack she carefully heads in with the lady's warning in mind.

Elly approached the smaller Pokemon and waved to it. The Budew moved its head to the side and then put the berry down to come closer to the Mawile. He walked abround the Pokemon, visibly intrigued by her second mouth. Mawile opened them carefully, letting the baby Pokemon look. Budew looked at the rows of teeth completely in awe. Elly turned to her small friend and made a few noises, accompanied by friendly gestures, trying to warm the Pokemon up to the idea of joining a team.

The Budew looked at her in confusion. Tally wasn't sure if he understood the idea. Elly looked as though she was thinking about something that would make communication easier. Then she walked towards Tally's bag, pulling out a box of Pokeballs and pointing to them and then to Budew.

That made the baby Pokemon jump up in recognition. It approached the Mawile and after a moment of consideration nodded as though he agreed on a deal. Elly looked back at her trainer with a smile.

Kane could recognize the attack as Counter but it failed to connect. Scyther then flew forwards using Quick Attack. Absol was pushed down by the huge blades but still used Me First as intended.
Things were off to an okay start, as Scyther tried to Counter Absol's attack but failed. Then, Absol's Me First turned into Quick Attack, which collided with the Scyther's own Quick Attack.

Kane observed what happened, as Absol landed back in front of him. He didn't know if the battle was in his favor or not, but Absol had a move that might change that. "Absol, Future Sight," Kane commanded. "And follow up with another Punishment." Kane and Absol really didn't have another choice.

‘Looks like Elly’s come through again!’ Tally cheerfully thought to herself. She would have to think of another way to reward the Mawile, and welcome Budew to the team. With a broad smile, she quickly turned to Elly. “You were great as always!” She turned her attention back to Budew and tossed the Pokéball that was in her hand.

The ball shook a few time and then stopped, indicating a successful catch. Elly looked very excited at the prospects of having a new friend. She was also proud of herself for convincing the new member to join. The Mawile picked up the abandoned berry off the ground and threw it to her second mouth, swallowing it in one bite.

Tally was so happy she practically skipped over to the ball containing her new Pokémon. She took a moment to put a capsule on around the ball, and decided to place her Flora Seal A onto the capsule. She threw the Pokéball, releasing the Budew in a shower of pink petals. She got back on her knees looking at him. "Welcome to the team Budew! I can tell we're gonna have a lot of fun together!" She looked around for the berry he was eating, only to see that Elly had finished it off. Tally was planning on letting him finish his berry, but immediately shrugged it off, the Mawile had more than earned it. Tally chose to softly pet him instead. "Okay, let's give you a name now." Tally took a moment to think. "How does... Florent sound?"

Leaving the tall grass, Tally was planning on stopping by the Daycare to see if she was right about where Florent came from. She had no intention of handing him over, but still felt it would be proper to let them know, on the off chance he did come from there. Along the way, she noticed that Kane seemed to be fighting against a Scyther. While she was sure he could handle it, she figured that she would still watch from the sidelines, making sure to stay out of the way. While watching, she decided to take the opportunity to give her Pokémon a grooming. Pulling out her brush, she started by sweeping the glitter powder off of Elly. After she was done with Elly, she would move on to Florent.

[ Sorry I made a mistake conting HP in my last post. Corrected now. ]

Absol's eyes glowed red, which made the Scyther go back a bit but after the initial confusion it doubled its efforts using Vacuum Wave. Absol landed on her side but recovered quickly. She stood up and noticed Scyther charging at her at a fast pace, his bladed arms shining with a bright light. Absol countered with her attack. Her horn collided with Scyther's blades.

(No worries, I saw it.)

Things were pretty much even at this point. Scyther used Vacuum Wave in the time that Absol took to set the Future Sight, and used Quick Attack again in response to Punishment.

"Let's keep going, Absol!" Kane exclaimed, even after seeing that Tally had caught herself a Budew. "Punishment again, then Me First!"

Absol's eyes glowed again while their blades were still crossed. Scyther tried to jump away realizing the danger but the magical force of Future Sight surrounded him pushing him to backwards so far he hit a nearby tree. A few apples fell down to the ground and some bystanders walked away faster. Scyther let out a loud cry and closed the distance, using Vacuum Wave, cutting into Absol's skin. She quickly used the opportunity of him being this close, using Punishment and pushing him away. He stayed on his feet and charged at her again using Vacuum Wave, swinging more erradically now, with no coordination. Absol used it to execute Me First, landing a clean blow which sent Scyther to the ground.

Alex was seated in the Pokemon Center at the moment, just reading through chat comments on his phone. He posted an update about his Riolu when he was release from the Pokemon Center and back into his care. He read a lot of supportive comments that seemed to make him feel a little better. He didn't want to lose his subscribers after losing. It was one thing he was afraid of. He figured it was finally time to get up and leave the Pokemon Center and maybe regroup with everyone.
