Hoenn Remake Wishlist

I'm hoping for the most is secret bases with the traps you can put around it like in Platinum. It's funny because every time my friend tries to enter my base, all the traps I set trolls him. xD

Another thing I hope is they don't make new areas for evolutions such as Leafeon,Glaceon,Probopass and Magnezone, they just use old areas.

Here's one:

Have Ho-oh and Lugia be catachable in the game like they were back in gen 3, BUT this time around they are catachable in game after you beat the champion instead of being event legends.

The question: To Faraway Island, or not to Faraway Island? That is the question.

This is more of a wish for ORAS features. For PSS battles (if it's still a thing/Wi-Fi in general), a DC needs to count as a forfeit. It does for Battle Spot, so why not random PSS battles, too? I'm tired of wasting my time fighting someone just for them to DC at the end and it counts for nothing.

Just a small one, but it would make sense. (Probably won't happen)

Make the Elite 4 have elements of both the classic style i.e. each successive member gets stronger and the new style where you choose the order you face them.

Explanation: say for example the 1st member has their team at level 48 (main at 50), the 2nd member would have their team at level 50 (main at 52) and so on,
but you can choose who is the weakest and who is the strongest e.g. Sidney as the weakest and Drake as the strongest.

I kinda like that idea! That'd certainly work. Although, I kinda hope they leave it as it was, but make it even more epic and hopefully leave the difficulty (or give difficulty levels to choose from the beginning). I always loved climbing the stairs up to the next E4 room in order.

I want easy, normal and hard mode available from the very beginning like any other RPG, not AFTER you beat the game. "Hard Mode" should mean the Pokemon aren't just higher levels; the AI could be about as good as the Maison's, some gym teams could be overhauled, all that good stuff. Having a "hard mode" option is always a nice challenge, and I want it without doing a Nuzlocke.

I was fairly happy with XY so there's not too much I want except

Difficultly levels - Every Pokemon game is easy but XY seemed even less challenging. If the game is targeted towards kids that's fine, make the default difficultly easy. But for the majority of us have a hard difficulty setting!

Pokemon following you - Same as always, it was in HGSS and should be in every game.

Anime cries: I like how Pikachu had it's anime cry and I remember seeing on the Bulbapeida poll that most people don't want the anime cries, but I still think it would be great to have them!

Better post game content: Stronger Eilte 4, PWT and something else.

Yes. This. This needs to happen. I found it really lame how I had to unlock it in Black 2/White 2 (at which point it had lost its use) and then for it to be missing in XY....

Trainer Horde Battles, let me face down 5 Grunts at once. We have Double Battles against them already, this would be something different sure, 5 on 1, but make the Grunts reasonably weak and it would be awesome.

-PLEASE FILL THE TRICK HOUSE OUT MORE! This was one of my favorite parts of R/S and i was sad that it was cut so short

-Battle frontier. Dont change a thing, just make sure its in there.

-try to make team aqua and magma more involved in the story, they werent as interesting or involved as the villains that came later.

-Please no megas for metagross or salamence. They are already pretty ridiculous pseudo-megas and dont need another power hike.

This is all i have atm but ill probably be back

Holy crap yes. That'd be an epic thing to do. It would also further the idea that they're bad guys and don't play by the rules.

I really hope they modify the GL/E4 teams a little bit. And please, for heavens sake, IF they must include Sealeo & Dusclops, give them an Eviolithe!!!

One of the aspects of R/S/E that I loved was how detailed Pokedex entries were. Upon reading them, I really felt as if I understood what made each Pokemon special, unique, dangerous, etc. It felt like a mini paragraph of facts.

For example, compare this:

Blaziken's Sapphire entry:

Blaziken has incredibly strong legs - it can easily clear a 30-story building in one leap. This Pokémon's blazing punches leave its foes scorched and blackened.

To this:

Blaziken's X entry (same topic):

It can clear a 30-story building in a leap. Its fiery punches scorch its foes.

See the difference? Which one sounds more enlightening, more knowledgeable? I know it may just be a few words, but you'd be surprised at how noticeable the difference is in-game. So I really hope that ORAS reuses such long detailed entries, rather than the short ones that continuously diminish in length with each game.

Same here~ I go back and notice that RSE had the longest and best entries out of all the Pokedex entries because they were so detailed and seemed to give more personality and trivia to the Pokemon. I'm also hoping we keep the original entries, which is likely considering the past remakes did it.

I just remembered; Prof. Birch is responsible for the Pokedex in Hoenn. And fact:
bulbapedia said:
He is known to be more outgoing than the other Pokémon Professors, and oftentimes his research takes him outdoors. His field of study is primarily how Pokémon behave in the wild.

I like to imagine that the Pokedex entries are more detailed in RSE because Birch wrote them. He's known to do a lot of field work, so he'd be more observant of Pokemon features and their behaviors. I don't know why they kept him in the lab all the time in RSE, but with connection to the Pokedex entries and what he's actually known for, I'd like Birch to actually be more active outdoors in ORAS. Have him travel around the region occasionally. Have him get attacked by pokemons from time to time. Have him give us mini-quests to help his research, such as escorting him to the top of Mt. Chimney or something.

It would also be awesome if there would be side-quests involving field work. We got habitat lists in Gen5, so why not expand that in ORAS?

They had better bring back contests. Please. :c I know I'm in the minority, but I love contests. I'd been hoping they'd have them in Kalos, but nope. I want to do some contests in glorious 3D. :D
I also want beautiful 3D secret bases that we can decorate pretty and show our friends over wifi ^.^
I want to have both Steven Stone and Wallace be actively involved in the story because I love them.
As for mega Pokemon: Mightyena, Milotic, Flygon, Salamence, Xatu, Sharepo, and Grumpig. Either because it would make said Pokemon more badass than before or because they need a boost.
Underwater battles and just more stuff to do underwater in general would be cool.
Freakin amazing music with even more trumpets!!!

There is probably so much more I could think of. God, I just hope these will be amazing because I am so excited.

I'll be completely honest. I would love a metagame for Contests. I had a lot of fun in Ruby perfecting my Swampert and winning through the Master Rank, but it would be even better if I could compete against players all over the world.

That being said, I would like more breadth in the Pokeblocks market. More Pokeblocks, or even more stat raising foods for Pokemon. I'd love to be able to sell what I produce.

-Make it easier to get to mirage island! I always wanted to go there, not that there's much there- it's just a cool idea. In fact, make mirage island more important, Liechi berries and Wynauts are nice but maybe have something really awesome there, no idea what though.
-Keep Birth island, Naval rock, Faraway island, and maybe add somewhere you can actually catch Jirachi? I would love for the space centre to be able to take you to the moon or something to catch jirachi (like the old rumour we all believed as kids!)
-Don't change stuff too much. Music, Layout etc. I want the nostalgia!! Also i personally hate the XY pokedex. It's awful. I hate having stuff in grids and i hate the 'regions' system. It makes finding stuff such an effort. And i used to like the satisfaction gained from scrolling through the whole pokedex after its complete. Don't know why but it's fun. The pokedexes on emerald and black are my kind of pokedexes.
-The obvious megas: rayquaza, metagross, milotic, salamence etc.. Maybe mega Regis?! also a couple of more obscure ones to make less used pokemon better. Mega Mightyena could be awesome.

Dear Delibird,

For Christmas this year, I want the following things in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire:

1. Full 3D. X and Y were a good start as far as the aesthetics overhaul was concerned, but it wasn't 3D all the time, which was slightly disappointing. I'm nearly drooling from the thought of Kyogre and Groudon fighting each other in three dimensions.

2. In a similar vein to the 3D, more experimenting with different camera angles would be cool.

3. Because I'm such a girl, customization of my Trainer's appearance (hair, makeup, clothes). Just maybe make the clothes less expensive? I felt like I was shopping at Macy's when there wasn't a sale going on.

4. Secret Bases. Enough said.

5. Have Steven do stuff involving Mega Stones, like maybe he could dole some of them out to the player character after achieving certain milestones. That would totally be his thing.

6. More post-game stuff, in the event that I feel very industrious and go to the Abandoned Ship and the Trick House before I beat the Elite Four. I don't want the Battle Frontier and completing the National Dex to be the only things left to do. X and Y were also disappointing in this regard.

7. Looker. He could easily be weaseled into the story by having him chase Team Magma/Aqua, but make him more useful. Don't just let him be some guy with a funny accent who just tells the player character stuff but never seems to do anything when he/she is around.

8. I doubt that this will happen, but May in the anime has her little brother Max, right? Isn't it about time for a change of pace so the player character actually has a sibling? The sibling could do stuff too perhaps.

Merry Christmas,

Meloetta23
