How did the original Ash's story end?

The writers could always pull a troll on us by revealing that we were going back and forth between two Ashs. After all, we have that portal in the games at the Alter of the Sunne/Moone that takes us to the other world. It's not that hard to have the two versions of Ash meet then an there. It's not likely, but it could happen.

I could believe that, actually. Which would mean that perhaps this is the reason for the new continuity; purely to tie into SuMo~ I think then that it could mean that the original Ash isn't done yet and there's a probability for him to meet this new Ash~

Have fun leaving the story behind without a real ending, then.

Also, Shudo's planned ending isn't a fanfic.

I'm not ready to accept this AU theory, but if it's true I'd like to think he won the league back in Kanto, with one Pokémon from each region. That's my ideal ending, at least.

That sounds more like a continuation, rather than a conclusion. They both begin with C and end with N, but have different meanings. ;)

If I had to think about a conclusion, I think he would participate to the infamous Champions' League, where he faces the top Trainers from around the world with his best Pokémon.

That would be one of the most epic endings we could get.

I like to just try to go ahead and think SM Satoshi is somehow the same Satoshi that went through all the other regions, only written poorly. Any other possibilities just give me an existential crisis.
