Does Terastalized Pokemons still get STAB when they used moves that match its original type?
Like, when a Grass Tera Type Sudowoodo used Rock Slide, will it get that STAB still?

I mean, yes... For casual play, that would be pretty funny, but having 3 STABs would be nightmarish for competitive play. I think and really hope they will not add that mechanic due to this.

Pretty much. Though by Wolfey's studies, it's potentially a 2.5x boost

He used the bit of Quaxly fighting Lechonk and calculated the how much damage a terastal powered Aqua does compared to normal. And so far it led around 2.5 to even 3. Though we're not sure if in that moment was highroll or not

If that's the only bonus they receive, I don't think it's too crazy. A Pokémon with Adaptability gains a 2x modifier on STAB moves just for having the ability, this doesn't sound that much crazier. A bulky Pokémon that resists the attack would still likely tank it without too much trouble. I'm willing to wait and see how the meta plays out before deciding if it's OP.

I think it pretty cool! The hats make me laugh and I’m sure I’ll have more fun that I did in BDSP, LGPE, SWSH and ORAS. I’m really looking up to this game and the gimmicks seem so fun! I’m sure it will be my favorite game maybe even passing Pokémon ranger. The hats are funny unlike the last gimmicks that were introduced.

my opinion has largely been "i'll wait and see until i can play around with it a bit", but from the surface level of things, it's very interesting, especially seeing how STAB works with it.
