How old are you Pokémon Fans? (Once again from the top)

The old thread was getting a bit out of date (again), so here we go once more.

We used to separate this by year ranges. That worked well...until we realised just how many more people were in 1986-1990 than any other bracket. So individual years once again!

Feel free to talk about your first experience(s) with Pokémon in this thread as well, if you like, not just your age.

I was born in 1997, so 26 years old right now.

With a long running thing like this you do have to periodically update a threat like this. So back again, I'm 1986 so yeah 36 turning 37 later half of 2023 and not that much of a Pokemon fan anymore.
The Anime since Journeys and the games since Gen 7 became less and less interesting and fun and then we had this technical debacle with Gen 9 so my passion for Pokemon now burns on a rather small flame. I do find the new Anime a bit more interesting I just wish they had given a better conclusion for Ash with aging him up, letting him settle down and maybe start a family on his own, as I consider that as a part of growing up which never happened with him while I became older and did grow up so to speak.
Anyway, can't change reality as much as you may dislike it and when you become an adult you realize that.

I’m one of the younger fans who was born in the year DP came to the US (and I’m literally the only one). I’ve known for a few years that I can’t change reality, which makes me pretty sad since a lot of the time, I hate reality. I feel really old despite not yet being an adult (SV came out over half a year ago while GSC came out 24 years ago-).

The main games are what really keep my interest in the franchise nowadays, and even still other series have been consistently taking more of my interest/priority lately, so Pokemon has been admittedly getting lower on my favorite list of series (gaming and otherwise). Dropped the anime after the DP series ended, but recently got back into it starting with BW to see what I missed, and it's... something that's for sure. None of the manga adaptations interested me aside from the DP Adventure manga, though I think if I reread it now I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much as I did when I was like 12/13. Kinda crazy how my interest in this franchise changed some as time flew by.

1998, making me 24. Although sometimes I do forget my own age hahaha. Like a couple others my interest in Pokemon has dwindled, i've not touched the series in a few years but I have many fond memories of the series, and all it would take is probably a Johto game to bring me back fully Crystal was my first game, and HG/SS are probably my favourite games partly due to it being remade nostalgia.

Anyway, not aiming for consoles in the immediate future, so my keep up with the franchise will be any portions of the anime available, Go and especially the Adventures manga and any manga titles that get released in the US.

Heck a 2 volume series I found by chance was Pokémon Horizon (Yes, before the unrelated new anime season) Sun & Moon.
