I feel like the Pokeball opening sound effect happens to be one of the most iconic sounds in the franchise, so I dying to know what the sound designers used to create it
The "popping" noise heard when a Pokémon is sent out comes from a stock sound library; it isn't actually unique to the franchise. Not sure where the accompanying "energy" noise comes from though.
