How would you feel if we got yet another R/B/Y remake?

1) Personally, I still find it disturbing to have living creatures as Casino prizes. Even in a pokemon game. What if Game Freak think the same these days?

Well again, if we want to really get into this then I personally find it weird to go out and start stuffing living creatures into pseudo-brainwashing devices and then forcing them to battle or trading them like collectibles. I'm not going to trade my dog for anybody else's just because I think there's is cooler, am I? But it's a Pokémon video game so it's whatever~

2) Yes, the new laws are surely one reason why Game Corners disappeared after Gen IV. But if GF wanted to keep the actual concept, they could have. They just had to put Voltorb Flip in all future games from BW onwards, instead of the traditional Game Croners. This way, they would just have one feature for both Japanese and international version of the games.

But they didn't carry Voltorb Flip in future games, even though it was legal. Why? I think it is because what I said above. If TMs can't be used for prizes, and Pokemon can't be used for prizes, the Game Corner loses its purpose. Besides, Voltorb Flip was more hated than loved from what I've read, so they probably thought it was better off out of the game.

I imagine the unpopularity of Voltorb Flip is probably the reason why Voltorb Flip wasn't brought back...

In any case I'm not saying that the reusable TMs weren't a factor in the removal of the Game Corner at all. I just don't think they were an immediately motivating one - rather it was something more serendipitous. Like they were thinking, "Okay so this Game Corner problem, what are we going to do about that? Should we even bother? It's a lot of work. Oh hey, it just so happens that we're also thinking about making half of the usual prizes infinite use, so yeah, maybe axe it." But clearly they're not averse to putting reusable TMs behind an effortwall, just like their one-use counterparts. They mainly just wanted to improve the utility of TMs themselves, so that you would have no compunctions about actually using them on your Pokémon.

I also feel like stopping the off topic discussion, but before that, I will just say that, objectively, Emerald has more content than Platinum, and Platinum has more new postgame areas to explore, but this should not be confused with gameplay content, because Emerald has 3 more Battle Facilities than Platinum (8 vs 5) and better, more varied Secret Bases, where you can actually battle, unlike in Sinnoh.

But of course, which game has better content, is an other matter, and a subjective one. I am just saying that Emerald has more content, because that is a fact.
No, DP and Platinum had the most content plus post game content and that is fact. Only ORAS would have the most content over Sinnoh at the moment. RBY remakes would probably be equal to FRLG while Sinnoh remakes would be at least equal to both HGSS and ORAS.

I'd quite like another Gen 1 remake, although I accept it's extremely unlikely, Diamond and Pearl will most likely get them though.

I'd love to see Kanto remade with S/M graphics but not at the cost of Sinnoh remakes.

Kanto on the 3DS & then Sinnoh in Gen 8 on the switch would make sense from a progression point of view (as we can play Sinnoh on the 3DS but not Kanto) but I feel that remaking Kanto for the early days of the Switch would be a huge money maker for them.

I think they should make one eventually, but I would hope we have DP remakes first. I have no clue if we are getting DP remakes this gen or next gen, depending if they want to keep the pattern of having one remake on a console or not. I could see the RB remake being in the generation after we get DP remakes, whenever that is, because I have no idea what to expect in terms of games after Sun and Moon come out.

I'd try to get it, but I wouldn't be hyped or have any enthusiasm for it since it already has a recent remake.

I think Pokemon are definitely going down the nostalgia path. There's adverts for Sun and Moon on busses around here and the only pokemon shown are the Alolan forms (Vulpix, Sandshrew, Grimer, Persian) not even the starters are featured.

I'd like to visit Kanto, Johto, Sinnoh, and Unova in 3D. Not necessarily in spirit of telling the existing stories, but a nice nostalgic way of visiting the regions again without it the games being remakes.

I would totally go for another remake with todays mechanics and visuals. But what i hope more is each pokemon get a redesign, but i think that's will happen when they reboot the series.

I don't see a reboot happening. Almost all kids shows in Japan don't get reboots, but instead get sequels or alternate reality sequels. The only kids anime I can think of that got a reboot is Aikatsu, but even that might not be one.

OT: I'd be down! It'd be a good trip down memory's lane and I would love to see if they threw in a Missing No reference somewhere in the game. They might not, but I'd love to see it.

So much stuff in the game seems to hint towards Kanto, but we just had VC releases, and the hints are contemporary with Sun/Moon, not referencing the past.

So I think we will get Kanto sequels, by which I mean they will be set in Kanto, but take place at the same time or just after Sun/Moon

Given that Lillie left for Kanto after you become the champion in S/M, I'm open to the idea of another Kanto adventure. I like the idea of visiting a modernized Kanto. Bumping into Lillie in the story, or her being an important character, would be even better.

A re-remake sound terrible when said out loud. Regardless, they better do a major improvement to future Kanto games. I want to see legendary pokemon in the story.

I wouldn't really be happy. Kanto is a rather bland region, besides we were there four times already. There are better things they can be doing with their time.
