Though since they arrive in Galar NEXT episode, I have to wonder just what could happen here...

Maybe this is where Spinel gets killed defeated...

Gotta wonder what was so secretive about this title that it was hidden at first. Kinda feels like a nothing burger compared to the hidden titles before which had spoilers to them.

Captain Pikachu is probably Flying Tera-Type, then. That would be a nice call-back to the flying Pikachu from Yellow.

I think it's a reference to the special Flying Tera type Pikachu distributed at Scarlet and Violet's release that knew Fly. (Does this mean Captain Pikachu will know Fly then too? )

Really a backstory episode between those 2, I was expecting a bit more than this, but let's see how it'll be executed.

It would be cool if Cap evolved into an Alolan Raichu and learned to fly for real but I doubt that is going to happen. But it would be a great way to differentiate Cap from Ash's Pikachu who hated the idea of evolving and changing. I think it would fit Friede since he is somebody who grew up (representing a Genwunner in a way) unlike Ash who remained mostly the same and never aged.
