Maybe not in one fell swoop, but a few starters from previous series had their gender revealed.

Last time it happened was back in BW in Snivy’s debut where Tepig and Oshawott became infatuated with her because she used attract on them when Ash tried to catch her.

I'm very curious on how the dub will handle that as they do not like mentions to real animals, last series they changed "turtle Pokemon" to "Pokemon with shells".
