Hi all - I've just launched a new sidegig that involves backing up your Gen I and II game saves, changing the battery in your cart, and restoring your save data, so you can keep your saves going.

Basically - I need reviews, so that potential customers can rest assured that I'm legit, so I'm offering to work for free for the first 10 customers so long as they can provide a review / pass on some word of mouth custom.

Would anyone be interested? Please email me at [email protected] if so.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Ben

You might want to enhance the service by offering to extract the save file so that it's compatible with Bank, or just for the sake of playing the game on a 3DS.

I would also like the reverse process, mostly so I can challenge Carrie on my 3DS. Project64 only accepts SAV files, so I can't use my 3DS file in Pokémon Stadium 2.
I'm pretty sure that emulators, like VBA-M, can convert between .sav and battery files. This tutorial only explains the reverse process (GB->VC), but it shouldn't be too different.

Not sure what do with that here since the Crystal save comes with a SecureValue file that I don't know what to do about.

EDIT: Apparently, I had to edit the save with a hex editor, and the save has to be made with VBA-M or otherwise it won't work.
