Ideas for Let's Go Johto

Pichu is broken in Ultimate? As someone that still has not played Ultimate and has only seen how Pichu was in Melee, I feel like I fell into another universe.

Oh yes. It averages around 2.03% usage (Super Smash Bros. Ultimate stats - Most popular characters, teams and more) and is constantly regarded as one of the current best fighters alongside Peach. Up until a recent patch (3.1.0), it was known for its small hurtbox, ability to be agile, and its combos that can do sizeable damage and keep opponents juggled. A juggernaut to be feared with, that little one.

I don't know what will happen with Whitney and her gym, considering that most of the Pokemon used in it have been changed to Fairy-types in Gen 6, with some of them outright having their Normal type replaced with Fairy. There's a chance that she might have her specialty type changed from Normal to Fairy.

A team full of 6 Miltanks. I can envision the nightmare already.

I'd say changing her gym to fairy would make sense, except for the fact that her ace is still a normal type.

I think my favorite suggested solution that I've seen is to change her Clefairy to a Jigglypuff and then it's all good.

Or, knowing game freak, they'd just leave it as is and not care about fixing it.

However, Clefairy is heavily associated with her. She even modeled her gym after it.

I mean, it'd still be a big round building if they changed that, too.

Anyway, there's no good way to do it. Can't change her to a fairy gym cuz of miltank as well as the "plain" badge. So either they change the Clefairy aspects or they just ignore the issue and have a mixed gym.

Blue kept the Earth Badge even though he doesn't specialize in Ground types, or any types for that matter. Miltank could also be replaced with something like Togetic if they decide to make Whitney a Fairy specialist.

You're very right about that. They could change whatever they want to make things make sense.

Worth noting, however, is that in Japan the Earth badge is the "Green Badge" and Blue is known as Green, so that actually works regardless of the type.

I'm still just gonna say that if they ever do make this game, they won't care enough to fix it to make sense.

It wouldn't hurt to keep Clefairy. It is not as if Jigglypuff's weaknesses and resistances are much different. They should definitely give Whitney another Normal type like Teddiursa or Aipom.

I think they were wrong to remove Giovanni's Persian from the gym. Also, Jasmine using Ampharos would be cool.

The thing is, Miltank is the sole reason anyone remembers Whitney at all, so why remove it?

EDIT: It also helps that it is one of the few challenging battles in the game.

I believe he got nerfed same with Peach.

Mostly so she can keep Clefairy, which is her mascot Pokemon which she even designed her gym after, and I highly doubt that they would straight up exclude the Fairy-type entirely because not even LGPE did that.

I don't get why people are still acting like the Fairy-type will just be a removable thing. It's not like people seriously thought they'd remove Dark and Steel in Let's Go.

Love Fairy been calling for it since Gen 1.

I wouldn't mind GF having the courage to make all Johto leaders to be double-typed (it would add flavour instead of just remaking G/S/C or HG/SS) or making Whitney change to a Fairy trainer (somewhat like Jasmine went from Rock to Steel) and create a new version of Miltank that it's Fairy (and this version could hail from a region of the main games, like Galar!) and so she could keep Clefairy and her Gym design.

Johto leaders to be double-typed

I think this would make it much more confusing, cuz then it can limit the choices and sort of throw off the theme by diluting it altogether. I think just keeping them to their original types while adding more dual types with the specialized type is the high road to take.

As for Whitney, might as well change her to Fairy at this point. Or just Normal littered with Fairy types?

They probably will just keep it as it .

I would like to see Cleffa As a mascot in homage to Clefairy bring the first mascot.

Also, I can see LG Johto happening before Sinnoh remakes since it probably has more nostalgia (and it will have Kanto).
