I'd say, if you had pokemon in your team based of anime versions, some would not do very well in battles. Here is why I think this:
Ash Sceptile:
Pound
Quick Attack
Slam
Bullet Seed
Leaf Blade
SolarBeam
Agility
Best moves there are SolarBeam, Sma, and Leaf Blade. If you made a sceptile in game have Pound/Bullet Seed/ Leaf Blade and Solar Beam like it had when it battles May's Blazikin, Pound and Bullet seed would be not really worth using for a start.
Although some pokemon would be good in D/P such as Gardinias Turtwig and moves used by Ashs Charizard or something.
What pokemon would you feel would be good or bad if made ingame from Anime trainers pokemon?
