"Cats come and go. It's what they do." Xavier muttered. Clearly there was more to that but he wasn't saying. "My mother sent her to bail me out. And mom ended up coming herself. Insurance policy."
"I see," Rose replied simply, "I was afraid after what Don told me. I know I haven't been the most perfect person in the world, let alone a decent girlfriend. I figured you had just went back to her. I'm sorry."
A few months passed following the fight against the Valkyries. Things had been quiet since then - no major incidents had occurred over the time, giving the house some much needed R&R time. Of course, not everyone would use that time to simply sit back and relax.
Wren made use of the library they had, looking up all manner of information on Celestials it had. Will's indexing of the books had made it easier to find related information. Now, she sat in the lobby of the library at the large meeting desk, reading over a number of documents. Speaking of Will, his concoction had helped speed up her recovery. The boy had talent, and she was thankful for him helping her.
However, the peace was about to end for some. A letter had come addressed to Kei. It was signed from Hades.
You have been formally invited to a meeting/party, hosted by Lord Hades of the Underworld. This event will take place on the in the Year 2035, on November 20th at the Earth Central time of 9PM.
Please mind the racial restrictions imposed by Lord Hades - any and all beings are allowed to be a part of the party as a guest of an attending deity, and are free partake in its accompaniments, but the meeting is deities-only.
We hope to see you.
The date on the letter was addressed for two days from now.
In those coming months, Amaterasu had gone back to Japan, so she could hone her skills with Shiranui. All that was left in her room now, was a sheet of paper with a large black pawprint on it. Otherwise, it was deserted.
"Oh. Right, I forgot to tell Wren about that..." Kei muttered to herself as she read the letter. "Two days. Guess I need some formal wear.. There's a boutique at the mall, right?" The demigod frowned, stepping into the library.
The flame punch sent by Ammy was blocked almost effortlessly with a wooden cane. "You're slowing down," said the deep voice of her grandfather. Shiranui was a rather tall, elderly male; his beard was long and white, just like his hair which was braided neatly with golden adornments. His coal black eyes studied his granddaughter for a second before he spoke once more. "Are you tired?"

Wren's head was still buried in her book. Currently, she was on a section about Valhalla's structure. It wasn't information that she was ignorant about, but it was good to continue researching it.
Peering at the older girl from the edge of the shelf. "Wren?" She called for her attention with a sheepish smile.
"No, I'm not." She argued, the flames taking on a white hue as she struck out with a lightning fast kick. Of course, with skill of Shiranui's caliber, it was still easily deflected.
The months hadn't passed entirely smoothly for Xavier. On the plus side, he hadn't gotten himself stabbed or shot in ages. On the other hand, his mother's training might as well have been just as bad. And there was of course the constant pressure from all sides regarding where he'd be spending his days between home and the inn. While he wanted to spend all his time at the inn, his mother's training was strangely addicting. The power was nice. Like Wren, he had recovered from their duel rather quickly, so he hadn't even gotten much time off from training.
When he wasn't training, he was tinkering with the electronics around the houses as per his usual. At the moment, that was exactly what he was doing. To a degree. Even though none of them at the house needed one, Xavier had bought himself an old school Pontiac GTO as a passion project. He was in the garage working on the engine.
Ken had pretty much continued his normal life during the last few months, doing his training and studying, the studying part mostly due to Concordia telling him he needed to read up since he wasn't attending school. He had also taken an interest in dancing and had been taking practice.
"This is too hard," Ken groaned, scratching the back of his head as he read a book on physics. "Fuck physics," he sighed and closed the book.

"You know you really gotta learn to not hit as hard," Don groaned as he walked into the garage, rotating his shoulder a bit. During the last couple of months he had decided to do more things around the house but had also focused on combat training,e ven asking to help Xavier out when it came time for him to test out his trigger even if it was only a few times.
"Of course not," Shiranui said, bringing his cane down to the ground that sent a force of energy all around him. It wasn't deadly by any means; it's only use was to trip up those whom he was facing.
Xavier chuckled, not poking his head out from under the hood. "Believe me, if I could pull punches without my mother noticing I would." He remarked. "But if I took it easy on you... or if you took it easy on me... she would have caused us both far more pain." He smiled. "That's how she teaches. Military habits and all."
'Well I guess I did need the strict training," He stated as he glanced at the car Xavier was working on. While trianing his mother was strenous he did had to admit it had allowed him to expand the range of his abilities. "So what are you working on here?"
Xavier shook his head. "Not really. It's kind of a one man job. After all it's not like you can fit a whole crew under the hood or anything." He remarked with a smile. "Plus the longer this takes, the longer I can avoid going inside." A joke.
The past month has been full of questions for Alexis. She still hadn't spoken to her mother, nor did she really want to. She wasn't sure where she really stood with Emmanuel though given her recently diagnosed feelings. It made her feel rather awkward since she knew in her heart that it would never work out, and she knew that she shouldn't be feeling this way in general. What plagued her was why Josie seemed to be rather happy about it. She had decided to stay home for the day and check out the books in the library. She had to find out any sort of clues as to what really happened with her mother. She stood on the ladder, examining each title to see if there was anything worth finding.
For Rose and Kari, the month was rather awkward for them as well. Kari had been doing well to avoid Rose after the whole Xavier incident. It wasn't that she didn't care for her sister, but rather, the two needed to work their own issues out. She had made an effort to try and get to know some of the tenants at the inn, but her shyness had prevented much of that. It would be a work-in-progress for certain. Rose still wasn't in the best of places with Xavier, but it was mostly due to conflicting schedules of him being away from training and his free-time being spent elsewhere. It was just an obstacle that she hoped they could overcome at least.
Will was in the library organizing some books, trying to make sure they could be found easily...
"Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to invest in a computer so we can start a digital catalogue." He thought aloud. "Hopefully Concordia doesn't mind me moving so many things around."
