"While we're at it, we need to drop Kari off to meet Marcus and Oscar," Rose teased, "I think she managed to score a date with these lovely gentlemen."

"Rose!" Kari yelled while blushing in embarrassment, "They're my friends. What's wrong with hanging out with them?"

"Why did you doll yourself up if you're just hanging out?"

Xavier grinned at this. "Rose has a point. That hair doesn't look like 'just hanging out' hair that's for sure." He quipped.

"Oh hush you!" Kari yelped back, her blush increasing in hue, "There is nothing wrong with wanting to put an effort into my appearance."

"Which one are you trying to impress? Marcus or Oscar?" Rose teased once again.

"Stop!" the brunette vampire hid her face in embarrassment. She knew Rose was teasing, but hated being on the receiving end.

Wren looked at Kari. "Take the sigil to them. And be careful," she said to the girl.

---------

The inside of the Underworld was a gigantic cavern-like space. However, there seemed to be no traces of the souls of the dead that wandered harrowing cliffs. Of course, this sight was only seen for a very short amount of time before the group entered the Hall of Hades.

The location in question was a gigantic ceremonial banquet hall, filled to the brim with very beautiful - and expensive-looking - decoration and architecture. There were various things to attract the party-goers.

It was when the group entered the hall that the other guests began to arrive in droves as well. Gods and their guests of various species all came in, more often than not with the former being brought in akin to royalty. Among their ranks were beings like Ra - the Egyptian deity said to rule over the sun, who wore an immaculately pressed suit of dull citrane with a variety of jewelry adorning him. The Egyptian god walked with an air of stoicism as he entered the hall.

Wren raised her eyebrow, watching as the hall began to fill. "This is... wow..." Suddenly she felt almost a little underdressed, if that was at all possible.

"...godly?" Don asked, trying to find a word to describe the whole event in his own right.

"Oh you know this party's going to be good!" Ken called out with a large grin. "I mean we're getting to meet gods and whatnot."

"Will do," Kari spoke before taking the Sigil to where Marcus and Oscar were.

===================================

"Well, they definitely can make one feel out of place and under dressed," Rose commented as she saw the deities. She saw many goddesses dressed in their absolute finest. There was Aphrodite, Athena, Artemis, Circe, Calypso, and many more. That was when Rose began to feel really insecure, and she wasn't sure why.

"Tadaima~!" Kei smiled as she stepped into the hall, her tone happy as she went to find Hades.

"It'll be fine Ms. Rose," Ken reassured her as he turned towards her. "You don't need to be overly dressed to look as great as you do," the young vampire said with a smile before seeing Kei walk off.

There were three deities that didn't believe in all of the pomp and circumstance. The first had flowing blonde hair and was clad in a sizzling suit made of blue lightning. The god of thunder himself, Thor. The second wore a black suit and had a massive sword strapped to his back. The god of war Ares. The third has the head of a falcon and wore a suit made of gold feathers. Horus.

The trio instead were camped out at the bar, chugging mead and ambrosia.

A tall, spindly man with his black hair slicked back, bearing the name of Loki, sat with two other godly beings; one of them being the king of the ocean himself (Poseidon), and the other being Sehkmet, looking cross as ever. The god of mischief wore a green and gold suit. Poseidon was wearing a navy blue suit and tie, his silvery hair combed back neatly. Sehkmet wore a dress of crimson, examining her own lioness claws in slight boredom. The goddess' feline ears twitched at the sound of newcomers, watching with harsh golden eyes as the demigod and her friends entered the hall.

If Xavier knew how Rose was feeling, he'd probably have something reassuring to say. Instead, he made his way to the bar. He was surprised to see that it was mostly empty, with the exception of a few random stragglers and a few gods that he recognized. From the myths of course.

He made his way up to the barkeep. "Martini. Dry. Stirred for exactly ten seconds." He said with a smile. Xavier was about to thank the bartender when he heard a voice.

"No Dionysis. Get the boy a real drink." Xavier turned around only to hear Thor speaking. "If he thinks he can handle it of course." Disaster. Nobody called out Xavier's pride.

"Of course I can." Xavier said with a grin. Thor simply nodded to the fellow deity and brought out four mugs of a honey colored liquid. Once the drinks were handed out, the three gods looked to Xavier.

"It's a rare honor you know, having a drink with a god." Ares remarked bluntly.

"Even more so when there's three." Xavier said before clinking the mugs together and taking a long sip. It was... like fire going down. And yet, he had never tasted anything like it.

"How is it lad?" Horus asked.

"Holy shit that's good." Xavier said before blinking twice. "Sorry, shouldn't say it like that." This of course just caused Thor to laugh loudly.

"No need to hold your tongue in front of us you know." Horus said with a twinkle in his eye. "It is after all ambrosia." Xavier blinked twice. You couldn't get that kind of thing in the mortal realms. No wonder it was so good.

Wren looked around for a second before turning back to the group. "Well, I'm going to go and check out what they have to drink," she said before walking toward the bar. She could see a few deities already sitting there - completed by Xavier joining in with them, but opted to simply take an empty seat one away from Horus.

"Got any champagne here?" She asked the bartender. It didn't really occur to her that this was a bar for gods, so champagne was definitely the least of the things they had.

The three gods looked over at Xavier for a moment. He eventually nodded. Ares flagged down Dionysis.

"We don't have that. But we do have something far better. It's a special." The barkeep told Wren with a smile before bringing her a mug of ambrosia as well.

"Wren my dear, you have to try this stuff... it makes you feel lighter than air." Xavier told her from across the bar. The three deities that had given Xavier his first mug chuckled at his opinion on the matter.

"That it does lad, that it does." Thor remarked.

"Ah so you two know each other." Horus said to Wren and Xavier. "That makes things easier does it not."

Wren nodded to Horus. "Hello, Lord... um, Horus?" She asked, before taking a sip. "Oooh god~" She moved her hair behind her ear before drinking more. It probably wasn't a good idea to down it all at once.

"See Wren, told you this stuff is amazing!" Xavier said enthusiastically. He'd been around enough girls in enough bars to know when a girl was really starting to feel it in a good way.

"So you want another?" Thor asked, holding up Xavier's empty mug like a trophy.

"Oh yeah I do!" Xavier cried out. And then he had another in his hand moments later. Once again he clinked glasses with the three gods before taking a long sip of the divine brew.

"You're smarter than your friend." Horus said quietly to Wren. "One shouldn't down ambrosia. Ares and Thor can get away with it... but most other beings can't."

Wren let out a small chuckle. "He's hilarious when he's drunk, though," she said to Horus.

Horus looked over his shoulder at Xavier, who was now leading Thor, Ares and Dioynsis in singing an old Irish drinking song. He chuckled. "You know, it's weird seeing them adopt anyone into our little trio like this. Let alone... well I suppose the word for it would be... what is he exactly?" He asked quietly. But not quietly enough.

"Half angel, half devil!" Xavier shouted loudly before going back to the song. His normal hesitance about his genetics was gone.

"Ah a nephalem. No wonder they like him. We see far too few of them now a days. A shame really." Horus trailed off. "Reminds me a bit of Set and Osiris..." He looked over at Ares and Thor before smiling and joining in with their singing. However he was more humming quietly than anything else.

Wren smiled a bit at Xavier. It was good to see he was having fun - that any of them were having fun, despite these tumultuous months. Between the Vampires, the Infernals, and the Valkyries, all they wanted was a break.

Thus, Wren got some more ambrosia before sipping on it slowly.

Amber had made her way around the place, but found herself in a conversation with a goddess. In fact, she was the eldest sister of the greek gods, Nyx. "Very happy to see young beings here fun," the woman said. She wasn't exactly supposed to be out on the floor, but her conversation with her brother Hades had been fruitful enough that it left her time to mingle.

Despite being a bit intimidated, Amber continued speaking. "Y-yeah... young. Uh, how old are you? Er, if that's not bad to ask!"

Nyx only chuckled lightly. "No, it's fine. Hades is the eldest of the Olympians, and he has lived for about seven thousand years. I am about twice his age."

"Twice hi- fourteen thousand?!" Amber's eyes were wide. "Uh... whoa... that's..."

"Well, 13, 694 and a half," Nyx responded, taking a sip of ambrosia.

It was at this point that Xavier's phone rang. "Hello." He was shocked that he got cell service.

"Where are you? It sounds like you're in a tunnel." It was his mother.

"If I told you, you wouldn't believe me." Xavier said with a smile.

"Try me."

"Sitting at a bar with Thor, Ares, Dionysis and Horus drinking ambrosia." Xavier quipped.

"Well I'm not sitting, I'm serving!" Dionysis said jovially.

"Huh." Xavier's mother blinked twice. "That's... a new one."

"Gotta go Mom!" Xavier hung up before leaning across the bar to talk to Wren. "Let's go dance!" He shouted to her.

Sehkmet shot a sideways glance at Horus, her slit golden irises holding an irate gleam, and something akin to 'save me, please'. However, the lioness said nothing, turning back to the two gods.

"I don't really see much reason gathering all gods here. Half the time, it'll just end up in a brawl.. Not that I mind, of course, causing chaos is my forte. It still gets annoying, though." Loki mused, sipping on a glass of ambrosia. Poseidon simply offered a shrug, his sea green eyes wandering the room.

"Like it or not, we're here. Go socialize with some mortals, or something." Sehkmet muttered, getting to her feet as she left the two men. She eyed Wren and Xavier for a moment, before going off to sit with Horus at the bar.
