Horus looked at Sehkmet and smiled. "Isn't it nice to see the younger species having a chance to see this kind of thing for themselves?" He asked her rhetorically. "Plus the boy is a nephalem, we don't get to see those that often anymore." Horus added as an afterthought. "How's Loki tonight?" Horus knew that Sehkmet would know that this was a question regarding whether or not they'd need to make sure that Loki and Thor were never in the same room.

"Causing mischief, as usual." Sehkmet answered, rolling her eyes. "I couldn't care less if he's a nephalem, they're all mortals to me."

Horus grinned at the bluntness of the answer. It was what he had come to expect throughout the ages. "The mortal races interest me, especially ones that can cause so much strife merely by existing..." He trailed off, realizing that such a scholarly topic would bore his companion. "Ah yes of course Loki is causing mischief. There's a reason I'm keeping Thor occupied over here. No need for those two to go at it."

Don was still pretty mezmerized by the sight of the whole party, only to realize he didn't really know what he should be doing for now. Noticing Wren and Xavier sitting by the bar he began to make his way over. "Pretty big place isn't it," he commented before turning towards Wren and her drink. "What's that?"

Ken had also made his way over to the bar. "What's that, can I have some?" he asked Xavier and some of the other gods as he pointed at the Ambrosia.

"It's ambrosia~" Wren almost cooed out. It was probably the most delicious thing she'd ever tasted. When Xavier prompted for her to join him on the dance floor, Wren motioned for Don and Ken to join as she got up to go.

Above the people in the hall was a platform, and on it stood a group of women who began singing. The sound was exquisite - it would have to be if Hades let them entertain the party. A variety of instruments were being played from satyr musicians on adjacent platforms. It was the perfect time to cut loose it seemed, as many had taken to the floor as well. That seemed to change the tone of the music, going from a soft, relaxing tune to a pumped-up, more upbeat dance beat.

People often believed that Wren was an antisocial person, one who didn't enjoy too much company. That was only half-true when she was entirely sober; now, under the slight haze of the ambrosia, the Celestial had begun dancing. She was able to keep on time to the beat easily, turning and stepping elegantly to the music.

"Awesome! let's go Don!" Ken called out, taking a few swigs of Ambrosia and savoring it a bit. "Tasty," he said, turning around once more and running towards the dance floor. Don looked at the dance floor nervously, he had been taught some dancing by his friends and parents before but hadn't actually tried to test it out.

He let out a sigh, looking down at the glass before downing it. Immediately he felt a sudden wave wash over him. "Wow, This is really good~" he said with a bright smile before following after the others to the dance floor.

"You're a pretty good dancer Ms. Wren," Ken commented as he ran over to Wren and began dancing as well, finally getting a chance to show off the practice he had been doing over the last month as he moved to the beat effortlessly, completely losing himself.

"Good, good, make sure to get those people to dance their feet off," came Apollo's voice as he directed the band, a hand running past his flowing blond hair as his shining amber eyes looked down on the dance floor. "It's a good thing uncle Hades still has the good sense to tell me to help out here," he pointed out with a smile before taking a swig from his own glass of Ambrosia. "I think I'll go down and have some fun myself."

Kei kept to herself, watching the dance floor from afar. She wore a wry smile, leaning on the railing of the balcony overlooking the commons. "Look who's having fun," she chuckled softly to herself.

"I'm surprised to see you attend her today Kei," came the voice of a young man as he walked from behind Kei. He was wearing a black suit with white dress shirt underneath, with two buttons undone and the neck raised. He had short blond hair and amber eyes along with tanned skin. "Thought I wouldn't see you here."

Rose just watched from afar, sitting by herself at the bar. She saw everyone else out and dancing, but she chose to stay away. Despite being in a room full of deities and her friends, she still felt lonely.

From afar, one of the goddesses stood and watched the mortals. She had curled brown hair that rested over her shoulder, exposing the owl tattoo on her back. Her dress was a smooth, crisp white and flowed quite nicely. She looked at Rose for a brief moment before looking to the two other goddesses that were with her. One of them had curly blonde hair put up into a bun, and a modest covered oceanic blue dress that matched her baby blue eyes. The other deity had midnight black hair that was in a braided updo. She had a pastel green dress that went to her knees, and had her bow and arrow strapped onto her back.

"I wonder why that one doesn't dance like the others," Athena commented.

"Not sure," Artemis remarked, "Perhaps she isn't one for parties?"

"Then why would she even show up?" Astarea asked as she tilted her head in confusion.

Rose wasn't alone for long however. Xavier had noticed that she wasn't out on the dance floor. And this didn't amuse him. Normally he would have tried to go talk to her, but normally he wasn't drunk. So instead he practically ran over and took her hand. "Come on, let's go dance!" He said loudly enough so she could hear over the music. "Actually I have a better idea. Quick pitstop at the bar to meet my new friends then lets go dance!" It would be very clear to Rose that she was seeing Xavier actually drunk for the first time. "Dance the night away! Can't you feel the excitement in the air!"

Horus looked over at his two friends. "How many mugs did the kid have?" He asked Thor, frowning slightly.

Ares held up three fingers.

"You two are real idiots sometimes." Horus muttered quietly.

"Look, he's having a great time!" Thor pointed out with a smile. "The lad can hold his liquor."

"Wonder if he's any good in a fight." Ares remarked. "If he is..."

Horus just rolled his eyes. It was always fighting and drinking with these two.

"Who am I to decline a summoning from my brother?" Kei asked in return, before adding, "besides, you know I'm not here for the ball."

"Awww really? but it's such a fun ball," the young man laughed as he walked over to stand next to Kei. "Plus you brought pretty friends with you too."

"Oh, so that means I'm not pretty?" She teased with a mock pout, crossing her arms. "Ouch, just wait till Wren hears that, Lorenzo." Despite her expression, her eye was filled with a gleam of amusement.

The party had reached a point where Hades felt it appropriate to enter the hall. Stepping to the base of the massive stairwell, the Lord of the Underworld cleared his throat. The music stopped, and most of the eyes in the room turned to the god. There he stood, next to him being his wife, Persephone.

"Everyone. Thank you all for coming. Persephone and I welcome you to our home," he turned, kissing the woman on the cheek, who leaned into the male. It was a good thing that Demeter wasn't there to see that display. "I would personally like to thank all of the God Sovereigns for their participation in making this possible," he said, gesturing out to them.

If Ra's falcon head could smirk, it would have. However, the deity walked up to the stairwell, standing next to the death god.

Another being, Vishnu, a four armed male donned in a pressed blue suit, walked to top of the steps to stand next to Hades as well.

Loki gave a satisfied sneer, nodding his head. Poseidon smiled, taking a sip on his ambrosia. Sehkmet's feline countenance contorted into a slight snarl, but she said nothing.

"There he is," Kei mumbled to herself, smiling.

"Oh come on Kei, you know you're the prettiest of them all," Lorenzo said with a laugh as he heard Hades announce the start to make his speech to the crowd. "Wanna go talk to him later?"

"Huh...he's a pretty nice fellow," Ken commented as he listened to the god of the Underworld speak.

"Guess the fun's over," Apollo said in disappointment, noticing that Lorenzo was talking to Kei from above. "Huh, looks like my son found an old friend."

Rose was rather shocked at Xavier's actions. This had been the first time she had seen him drunk, and honestly, she didn't know how to feel. She ended up jerking her hand away from her boyfriend, frowning.

"Stop," she ordered as she heard Hades and looked to the deity and his wife. Athena had watched Rose from afar, debating mentally on whether or not to speak with her. It was clear the vampriss was in some sort of turmoil and well, she herself was a goddess of wisdom. Should she try to figure out what is wrong. Artemis shook her head as she saw her brother flying about.

"Oh look, there's my brother now," she huntress sighed.

Xavier raised an eyebrow. "I'd ask you what was wrong but it's not like you'd tell me anyways." He said a bit harshly. "I'll be on the dance floor if you want to join us. Promise it will be much more fun than this." He added before sweeping off to rejoin his friends.

"Suppose the fun comes to an end." Ares muttered.

"It always does." Thor added.

"Perhaps." Kei mused, one-eyed gaze drifting over to her sister-in-law.

"Because you're drunk!?" Rose yelled back as she shook her head and headed back to the bar and sat down. "If he would actually listen then I would tell him." sighing, she ordered herself a shot of tequila.

"Relationship problems are never fun," Athena spoke out loud.

"This is why I'm an eternal virgin," Artemis spoke, "It's also why I never married."

"No, you did all of that because your father requested you to do so."

"Shut up."
