Dionysis slid Rose her glass and chuckled. "You can blame those two idiots for that." He gestured to Ares and Thor, who waved. "Fed the kid ambrosia. Three mugs." He then looked over to Artemis and Athena. "Can I get you two anything?" He asked.

"It's fine," Rose sighed as she downed her shot, "He should know this isn't how you act when you're invited to a rather amazing ball. Of course, it was because Kei had brought us, but the point still stands."

"No," Athena politely declined.

"I'm good," Artemis remarked, "About to shoot my brother out of the sky. Wanna watch?"

"Now that I wouldn't miss." Dio said with a bright smile before turning back to Rose.

"When three gods ask you to drunk with them, very few mortals would or could say no." He advised sagely. "And well the kid belongs to a species that you mortals have been hunting and slaughtering for millennia. I think he can cut loose once in awhile and not end the world."

"Hey! We heard that!" Thor shouted loudly.

"We like him. He is gonna be our mascot." Ares interjected.

"Excuse those two." Horus said cordially.

Artemis smirked and got her bow and arrow ready, taking aim at Apollo.

"Yes, but do we know what that 'letting loose' can cause?" Athena asked as she looked at the others before sighing, "I'm sorry they have done this to your lover and friends."

"Come on sister, lighten up and have a drink with us!" Ares pleaded. He knew this wouldn't go anywhere. It never did.

"The answer is no," Athena replied as soon as she heard Ares speak. "Not when we have a troubled mortal among us."

"No, I'll be fine," Rose responded with a slight smile, "You have fun and enjoy yourself."

"Well at least you look happy," Lorenzo pointed out. "I'm glad things are going okay with Wren and those guys as well."

Apollo noticed his sister Artemis looking up at him, pointing an arrow at him. "Oh damn...seems like my dear sister wants my attention," he said with a chuckle before vanishing and appearing in front of Artemis. "Do you really have to shoot me down? I'm the one in charge of keeping this party alive after all!" he laughed.

"You guys are just way too crazy and that's coming from me," Hermes called out to Ares and Thor, the black haired man walking over towards the bar and laughing. "Don't cause trouble for our guests, I went to great trouble to send all the invitations after all."

"There is such a thing as email you know," Rose remarked dryly.

"Why did you ruin the fun?" Artemis called to her twin in annoyance, "You being the target was the fun of the party."

"Sorry Apollo, I'm siding with your sister there." Ares said with a smile.

"Hmm...that would've made for some extra entertainment yes," Apollo noted, scratching his chin in thought. "None the less your nephew Lorenzo is here today. He may not be my first kid but I'd rather not look bad in front of him," he then turned to Ares. "You just want violence in general to happen cus."

Wren was silent when Hades continued. "Now, every deity will follow me to the meeting hall. There, we will begin our discussion. Mortal beings are free to stay and enjoy the festivities."

----------

And thus, all of the gods and demigods were convened. There were, in total, about twenty-six divinities in attendance. It was just enough for Hades, who sat next to Persephone on his throne. The room he chose was a chamber with many comfortable seating arrangements - they were dislocated from the space of the Underworld, fitted with comfortable seating at a large table.

Hades sat at the head with his wife, and swept his eyes over the gods. "Again, thank you all for coming," the death god said. "It makes me happy to see all of these gods under one roof. We have much business to attend to... but, there are ground rules. Rule #1 - no attempts to slaughter one another. Should you attempt to do so... well..." he pointed above the hall.

Encircling around the table were balls of darkness. Their aura was heavy - powerful, almost abyss-like: mordite. In the world of the supernatural, one of the most notable things that gods contributed were their elemental materials, which they rarely came into contact with anymore due to their less elevated status over humanity. Mordite was congealed antimatter that was infused to the core with spiritual energy. Hitting any being with it would cause near instantaneous decay.

And Hades had an entire encirclement of it. And, upon closer inspection, a crown of it.

This made Ra raise his eyebrow. "Mordite... so you're saying that you'll kill us with it if we attempt to fight each other?"

Hades shook his head. "Persephone will. And I will lock you in the Underworld. This is my wife's home. No one will desecrate it."

Kei briefly glancing up at the hovering spheres of darkness, crossing her arms. "Mordite, huh? I see that things are getting serious now." The demigod mused quietly to herself, her gaze landing on her brother.

Ra nodded. "We of the Egyptian pantheon will be on our best behavior," he said.

--

"Yeah, this place is empty," a voice came from the opening of Raku's basement. Footsteps could be heard, alongside a few chuckles. Four boys, humans, walked down to the basement. "See?"

One of the other boys - a blonde - whistled. "Damn, it's huge," he began looking around the expanse of room. "A fuckin' dump, though."

"I ain't complainin, man," a hooded, dark-skinned male said, sitting down on a stack of cloths.

The blonde snorted. "What if you get a spider or something on you. It'll bite your dumb ass."

The hooded one checked around himself fervently. "Man, shut up!"

The fourth one didn't say anything, having opted to go looking around the basement. He split up from the group, going alone to venture into it.

"You gotta be fucking kidding.." Raku mumbled under her breath, watching the group from the rafters. She straightened out her letterman jacket, tightly grasping the miniature knife in her pocket. She prepared to pounce on one, slipping into the shadows of the tarnished support beams.

"Free to drink alone," Rose sighed, "Does this mean I'm the designated driver?" shaking her head, she continued to sit at the bar alone. This good night was turning into a bad one rather quickly.

=================================

Kari stood nervously waiting for her friends. She subconsciously was tugging at her curls and trying to make herself look presentable.

"You always know how to scare your guests huh Hady?" Hermes comented as he looked up at the Mordite, his eyes showing that he clearly knew Hades was not kidding.

"They look....cute," Lorenzo added.

"Well, I guess that's as far as we can go with Kei," Ken commented as Kei and the other gods left the party. "Now where's Amber," he said before noticing Rose sitting by herself and walking over for a moment. "Hey Ms. Rose, why not come dance with us for a bit."

"No thank you," Rose replied simply, "I'm not in a mood for dancing. However, I do appreciate the offer."

Oscar and Marcus were sitting outside on the lawn of their home. The sigil that Kari took would lead her to the outside.

"Polaris!" Oscar pointed up at it.

Marcus nodded. "Eyup. Sure is," he said, leaning up to look. "Good eye."

The other Vampire smirked. "I'm the best astrologist in the universe, buddy boy."

That made Marcus roll his eyes. "Yeah. Sure."

"Um, hey guys," Kari called out as she walked closer to them. She didn't really like interrupting, but she was late after all. It was no fault but of her own.

Once the party had resumed, Wren noticed that Don was sitting by himself. Normally, she would've been just like that - off on her own. But, alcohol was a social substance, and she found herself walking up to the Infernal. "Not enjoying yourself?" She crossed her arms.

--

The boy that split up from the group went by an old generator sitting in the back of the basement. He studied it for a minute, lifting his foot to kick it lightly. It wasn't active, that was for sure.

--

Oscar turned, smiling widely. "Kari! Yo!"

Marcus waved to her, continuing to look into the telescope. "Come join us." He adjusted the lens, getting a closer to a distant star. "How many light years away is that? Gotta be, like, 50 or something."

"Er... try, like, 2,000," Marcus said, chuckling.
