"Uh, it's a-" Marcus was cut off before he could continue.
"It's a neutron start that fires beams of polarized energy!" Oscar almost seemed giddy while explaining it. "One of the most powerful objects in the physical universe!"
"Other than magical items. Like the Swords," Marcus chimed in, still looking.
"Yes, if it was physically possible for it to cross over into our Solar System," Oscar lifted a finger. "Buuut, stars are gravitational-dependent objects. The magnetospheres around their bodies prevent them from breaking their orbit whilst the planets they hold orbit them."
Don had been staring at the dance floor for a while after he returned from there himself, the ambrosia hadn't really had that much of an effect on him or at least it ran out pretty quickly. He turned to Wren once she approached him. "Oh nothing just, I've never really been that big on parties," he replied nervously. "It's pretty fun though and I do know how to dance and all, just I guess I don't know if I should or not and this really didn't affect me as much as Xavier, granted I only drank a bit," he glanced at her once more. "I should just relax more I guess."
"Typical." She laughed, her tone devoid of any sort of emotion. One hand held out the miniature knife, which grew an additional three feet, the jagged blade pointed to the male's throat. "Now, I'll ask you again. What the fuck are you four bastards doing in my basement?"
Dinner was served in the House of Okami. At the table were the many children of the family, with Shiranui sitting at the head. While the high guardians were allowed to be within the household, they were typically only allowed inside when a 'Full Family' setting was made. However, with Ammy returning home to Japan for a visit, it was an immediate family affair.
Susanoo sat next to Tsukuyomi - much to the latter's chagrin, who sat next to Uzume. The former two were talking to one another, with Uzume leaning over the table to talk with Kagotsuchi. While Uzume wasn't Shiranui's blood kin, she had been so close to the family since the children were born that she earned the name 'auntie'.
"So, the Infernals just jump at you guys? Really?" She grinned. "Guess they don't give you brains in Hell."
"Eyup," Kagotsuchi nodded, taking a sip of sake.

The boy whimpered, nearly screaming when Raku's blade grew. As it was pressed to his neck, he began sweating hard.
"Oi, what the fuck?!" One of the boys stopped, taking out his own blade.
"Let em go, bitch!" Another one yelled, starting to walk forward toward the girl.
"Answer the question, fuckers." Her grin was feral, her prominent fangs showing in her malicious smile. "I've already asked you nicely. What the fuck are you doing in my basement?" Her muscles tensed, as she prepared to counter anything thrown her way.
Tsukuyomi stifled a sigh, turning his gaze to his twin sister. "How have things been in the Americas, Amaterasu?" He nearly cringed at her answer.
"Oh, shut it, Tsukuyomi. Besides dealing with Infernals and vampires, there's been nothing much of interest. It was a nice vacation while it lasted, though." The wolf answered, eating some of her rice.
She parried it with her own blade, her grin widening. "You punks just don't know when to shut up and listen, do you?" She aimed a sweeping kick at his feet, swinging her blade at his stomach so that the blunt side would connect with his body. She may have been a violent fighter, but even she wasn't so cruel as to kill a human.
"Listen up, idiot. I live here, so yes, it was a vacation. You shouldn't be so surprised." Amaterasu remarked, glancing over at Uzume and giving her a semi-apologetic look.
"..Wow, harsh." Tsukuyomi mumbled to himself, raising an eyebrow at his twin. "I knew she was really tsun-tsun about half the family, but just.. Damn."
"I heard that, you little moonchild!" Amaterasu pointed a chopstick accusingly at him. He rose his hands in mock surrender, holding back a chuckle at his sister's antics.
"Moonchild?" The boy laughed a little, his eyes gleaming with amusement.
"Shut up, idiot twin." Amaterasu muttered, glaring at him.
Don looked at Wren's retreating figure for a moment before nodding his head and following after her. "What are you going to show me?" he asked with a slight smile.
"Nothing in particular," Wren opened the doors, walking out to the front steps of Hade's hall. "It was your choice if you wanted to join me."
She sat down on the top step, taking in a breath before looking up into the sky. Even drunk, she could still admire the extremely strange, colorful sky of the Underworld. It was high as the sky on Earth - possibly even higher. The cavern that was once there had been replaced by a vast, new terrain.
Don stared in amazement at the sky above them, sitting down next to Wren as he tried to make sense of how the underworld could seem so...pretty. "You wouldn't think we were in the underworld," he commented, glancing towards Wren for a moment. "It makes everything look more beautiful."
"It does," Wren said, leaning back. "Makes me wonder..." Her voice trailed off before she shook her head. "No. It's nothing."
The first order of business had been started in the meeting - talking about the coming dangers of outright warfare. "As we all know, our thrones have been... compromised over the past few millenia. Our hold over the world has dwindled to an almost non-existence."
It was a sore topic, but one that had to be addressed.
Despite the sting, Ra spoke up. "Yes. It is a jarring reality that our religions have no longer become relevant. That puts us in a vulnerable position. And the state of the Cosmic Mandate no longer grants us the same level of permanence."
The Cosmic Mandate was a powerful, very ancient force that all deities were aware of and affected by. It was the thing that allowed them to rule - existing through the worship and beliefs of the people on the power of thought alone. It gave them nearly complete immortality in the past. Once their religions fell, they were subjected to the passage of time.
And it was clear that their time was running out.

"How was that harsh?" Susanoo raised an eyebrow. "She barely said anything. I mean, not like I was expecting much from her anyways."
"Wow," Uzume glared at Susanoo. "Can you both stop? Honestly."
Kagotsuchi nodded in agreement. "It's really tiring to hear you three fighting all the time. Besides, how do you think Ojii-sama feels about this?" He said, motioning toward the patriarch sitting silently at the head of the table.
Shiranui said nothing, sipping his tea while the two bickered. His expression was almost entirely unreadable for those who didn't know of his ways - some form of tranquility with almost no sense of anger. However, for anyone close to him, it was obvious that he was annoyed by his grandchildren's bickering.

When the first boy went down, the other two were quick to go in. Both brandished knives, moving to carve through Raku.
"What is it?" Don asked, noticing that she seemed concerned about something. "You won't be able to have fun if there's something on your mind," he said jokingly, smilling at her
"I wonder where she went," Ken said to himself as he walked around trying to search for Amber.
