Kei couldn't help letting out a snicker. "I suppose we should take our leave as well, unless you'd like to say something, brother?" The demigod turned to the deity in question, shooting him an inquisitive glance.
"Well, the meeting was actually a great success," Hades mused.
"Success? A fight broke out here," Wren said, gesturing to the ballroom.
"You, of all people, should know the propensity of supernatural beings to fight, Ms. Liruliniel," the death god said to her. Wren visibly flinched a bit at the sound of her old name.
He continued despite it. "Godkin are especially predisposed to violence, as is the way of nature. However, as this is my domain, it would never last very long. I am the Supreme in my realm, after all."
Persephone cleared her throat.
"I'm sorry. My wife is the one of the only two beings in existence that can tell me what to do here," he said.
Ken looked at the Siren walk off, shock on his face as a slight blush appeared. "No problem!" he called back to her with a smile before turning back to the group, noticing Hades. "Oh wow...it's a pleasure to meet you Mr. Hades!" he announced, bowing respectfully before glancing at Persephone. "And you too."
"You know about gods?" Don raised an eyebrow in curiosity.
"My dad was a huge fan of Greek and Roman mythology," Ken answered with quick nods.
"Oh I'm sorry, I mean I didn't mean to be rude," Ken replied towards Persephone, clearly alarmed. "I just didn't know whether to use Ms. or Mrs. I'm sorry... Lady Persephone."
Lorenzo laughed at this, crossing his arms. "Oh my god this is so golden."
"Yeah, I think I almost should've stayed back at the inn but Kari's out with her boys..." Rose thought out loud, "You could've stayed home too..."
Athena was quick to Persephone's side, trying to calm the woman down.
"Now, now," she spoke calmly, "I'm certain the boy meant no harm. After all, he is a mortal and we should accept that they tend to fail way more than we ever will."
Persephone let out a small huff when her sister appeared next to her. "Hmph. I wasn't going to smite him. That would be messy," she said. Truth be told, Ken correcting himself had spared him from her anger. "Vampire boy. Let it be known that you were graced by the Goddess of Wisdom."
Hades looked to her. "Seph, please."
His wife's eyes went wide as her face flushed, turning to her husband at the sound of her pet name. "Hades!!"
The death god let out a laugh before looking to Athena. "I may go to the dungeon for that... speaking of which," he looked to Xavier. "You've been bound to the Underworld for the moment. Seems that you participated in that fight."
"Strictly self-defense." He answered Wren's question with a nod and a smile. "Had a couple of those shifters throw sucker punches at me while I was trying to find Rose. Put them down." He looked at Hades and nodded. "Your house, your rules." He said as he held up his hands in a deferential gesture of surrender. Turning back to Rose, he winked. "Don't worry, I'll be home soon." He promised.
"Thank you so much ," Ken sighed in relief at knowing that Persephone had forgiven him.
"Yep," Lorenzo replied towards Wren. 'He started walking around like he owned the place smacking shifters, it was pretty nice."
"You always gotta throw a punch huh," Don commented towardds Xavier with a grin.
"Oh come on uncle Hades," Apollo said, putting an arm around Hades. "I mean at least he didn't act like those two knuckleheads you sent to the dungeon."
