"The person you saw in your mind was Evangeline," Concordia said, taking a sip of her tea. "The Celestial leader of the Valkyrian Army. Wren's mother."
"Wren had to deal with.. With her?" She asked in an incredulous tone, one that didn't suit the child-like demigod. "Having her as the manifestation of my insanity was bad enough... I don't think I could deal with the corporeal one."
"I'd imagine that what you're seeing is only a small taste. Our girl spent 200 years with Evangeline. But, that's a story for you to ask of her yourself," she moved a strand of hair from Kei's face, looking directly into her eye. "Your energy needs time to replenish itself. And, I feel that it's better that you work through your nightmares."
She stood up from her seat. "Your energy will return long before your mind finishes healing itself," she said. "I'm sure your little night terrors will go away rather soon, though."
"Yeah.. okay, ma chérie." Kei replied, avoiding Concordia's gaze. She contemplated sleep once again, but dismissed the thought once again. Dreams would only bring the manifestation of Evangeline - that, and now that she had awakened, she wasn't all that eager to sleep so soon. Unfortunately, the nightmares of the Valkyrie leader were only the beginning.
"Right," Rose smiled, "Thank you. Though I should thank Alexis sometime soon, but she left as soon as Xavier came in." she giggled ever so slightly as she looked over at the sleeping nephalem, "I'll thank her the next time I see her. I'm sure she's tired."
All the while, Ana had sent her husband to the market for some groceries. Her attempt at cooking dinner ended up in a utter disaster, so it was up to Mr. Garroway to cook something. She planned on cooking one of her favorite dishes: 40 clove chicken. It needed a whopping forty cloves of garlic surprisingly. Humming to himself, he began to gather all of the garlic he would need from the produce section.
A male who looked to be in his mid-teens stepped up to Ana's husband as he was picking up garlic. His features were covered in a hood, obscuring the top portion of his face. "Oh, excuse me sir! Do you have a moment?"
--
Concordia nodded to Lorenzo. "You as well, Lorenzo."
Ana's husband heard a voice as he turned his head to see the teen. He never seemed to recall seeing this teenager before, but he chose to ignore the little voice in the back of his head.
Kei, despite her restlessness, had eventually fallen asleep. This time, she didn't wake again until the morning.
Raku had eventually come home, her expression somewhat morose. Stuffing her hands into her letterman jacket's pockets, she started towards her room. The day had been rather emotionally draining for her, even if it was just from visiting her old house.
"Hello, sir. I'm wondering if you're familiar with a woman named Ana Garroway," the boy asked Ana's husband.

The next morning came swiftly. For Wren, it was for all the wrong reasons. She turned on her side, looking at the time the clock held. 4:32AM, December 21st.
She sighed, getting up from her bed. She rubbed her head a bit before leaving her room and walking down the stairs. The kitchen was a ghost town, as expected. People were still sleeping. When she reached the stovetop, she stared down at it for a few moments. Then, she shook her head before starting up the coffee maker.
"Ugh, so fucking tired," she whispered in exasperation, lowering her head as she leaned on the kitchen counter. Yet, somehow she was only able to sleep for three hours before having to get back up. Normally, it wouldn't have been such an issue, but she suspected it had something to do with the run-in with Lilith.
"Couldn't sleep either?" came Don's voice as he walked into the kitchen. He had bags under his eyes and had actually been in his room up until he heard shuffling coming from the kitchen. "I couldn't sleep at all...like at all, I'm not even tired to be honest," he sighed. "Can I help? I've been in my room for too long."
Wren nodded lightly. "I could use it, yeah..." She turned, pointing to the skillet. "Cook up some bacon," she rubbed her head for a moment. "Hopefully after Christmas we can say goodbye to everything that's going on. Really, I just want a vacation from this mess."
