After a few minutes, Kei had finally woken up, rubbing her good eye. After having put on her medical eyepatch, a disheveled-looking demigod slowly stepped into the kitchen. "Deum, quod tempus est? Quamdiu dormire?" She muttered, holding a deathly pale hand to one of her temples. She was almost positive this was what a hangover felt like, only a hundred times worse.
"Three o'clock in the afternoon. Day after Christmas." Xavier quipped, hoping Kei would catch on that this was a lie. He held out his watch for her after a moment so she could see that it wasn't even past noon.
Luckily, the demigod had caught on, but she still gave him a soul-piercing glare that seemed impossible for a girl her age, and not even with her cursed eye. She elbowed him in the side with a smart impact, still oblivious to the obvious damage she'd caused him in the Winter King's domain. "Jeez, you scared me for a second there! Not nice, Xavier!" She protested with a pout.
Xavier chuckled at this. "What wasn't nice was you nearly turning me into putty when you went cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs back at the Axis." He quipped, the elbow hitting him right where his latest scars were. More pain.
Xavier sighed. Either she was lying or she didn't remember. Either way, it didn't matter. "It's probably for the best that you don't remember." He said softly. "Dont worry about it."
Lorenzo glanced at Xavier for a moment before looking at Kei, remembering that she seemed to block out any bad memories she had. "Anyways, sit down, eat breakfast, get some food in you."
"Fuck, my head hurts. Like someone is constantly bashing my head in with a sledgehammer... Is this what a hangover is supposed to feel like or something?" She muttered, cursing (which was rare for her) as she did so.
Xavier smiled brightly at this. "Come on let's get some water and food in you. It'll help, trust me." He suggested after a moment, echoing what Lorenzo had said.
"I don't want Western food right now." She answered, as if it were perfectly justified. As Amaterasu came back out of the kitchen with the plate of onigiri. Nodding her thanks to the girl, she bowed a little and mumbled to herself, "Gochisousamadeshita... itadakimasu." With that, she began to eat.
Xavier looked at Lorenzo for a moment and rolled his eyes as if to say 'Women, right' before standing up and walking to the bay windows. "Anyone that's coming with us to go shopping, we should leave in the next hour or so." He said after a moment. "Because if I'm late to dinner my mother will literally shoot me out of a cannon."
