Don had started with his laps back and from the rock, however, after only five laps he was already starting to stagger and his wings had gone down in regards to the energy output. "Do I do them all today or can I spread them out?" he asked while panting.
Wren looked into the sky for a moment before turning to Don. "You can rest. You've got 50 laps tomorrow. Remember them," she said. She looked to Alexis. "You too, Alexis. Fifty tomorrow."
The shadow, in question, seemed to be moving in a direction opposite of the light. The more the rays shined on it, the more it seemed to recoil. It was readily apparent that, whatever was inside of the shadow, it was not Ken's own.
Xavier nodded in agreement with Rose. "I didn't think that Don was going to be stuck in Flying 101 seminars this morning." He joked. "I'm just glad I'm not in there, I feel like Wren is kicking their asses."
Xavier chuckled at Don's timely appearance. "Which is why I'm glad I didn't have to take part." He mused. "Go take a shower. We're leaving for the mall in a bit."
"I think I'm gonna stay here and keep trying to get faster," Alexis spoke up though she wasn't sure if anyone was around in the training room. She took a few deep breaths before doing laps again. She had to get better, faster, and stronger. She had to make her family and friends proud. She couldn't just sit around and do nothing anymore.

After a bit, Xavier managed to get the mall group together and it wasn't long before they arrived at the mall to do their Christmas shopping. It was a festive, crowded atmosphere. He smiled despite himself, it was his favorite part of the year. "Try to get home by five so I'm not late for dinner." He requested. "Four hours should be plenty of time."
"Just buy her lingerie," Rose stated simply, "She seems like she'd do well with that, or some kind of expensive jewelry. For me, I don't actually like diamonds and such fancy things."
Xavier nodded, making a mental note of Rose's remark. He was screwed now, as his get out of jail plan was going to be enough ice to put a dent in his trust fund. "Rose has good points. Although lingerie might... Well that's a risky gambit if you don't know her level of affection for you... Ice is good though. Always safe."
Don scratched his chin his thought as he looked around. "I was thinking chocolates," he pointed out before turning back to Xavier. "I'm working on getting closer to her, food is a good way to get closer with friends."
