Yamako didn't turn when Kei walked in. "THERE YOU ARE, KEIRA. IT'S GOOD TO SEE YOU," it was impossible to tell what she what expression she was making underneath that helmet. Turning around, she walked toward the younger demigod. "I AM YAMAKO, CHILD OF LORD YAMA AND DEATH. IN THIS VEIN, I BELIEVE I WOULD BE YOUR ELDEST HALF-SISTER."

"Oh. Eldest?" Wren looked at Yamako. However, the goddess didn't seem to address her at all, simply paying attention to Kei.

"Oh.. It's nice to meet you then, Yamako. I'd introduce myself, but you clearly seem to know me.." Kei spoke with a nervous chuckle, tossing a questioning look to Wren.

"Is there, uh, some reason you wanted to see me? I mean, um, if that's what you're here for."

Xavier was chuckling at the dialogue between Don and the angelic intern. "Yeah you're doing a great job for an intern. As Donald said, you're going to improve as you practice. But we got the memo so that's what matters." He quipped, glancing back down at his phone before shooting off another text to Kari. Plenty of that in my room. You know the drill.

"YES. I AM HERE BECAUSE OF YOUR OUTBURST AT THE AXIS MUNDI. NORMALLY I WOULD NOT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS HERE. BUT, YOU HAVE PROVEN TO BE A PROBLEM, AS ACCORDING TO THE THINGS YOU'VE DONE." Yamako stated, looking down at her sister. "I UNDERSTAND THAT YOU WERE GIVEN SOME SORT OF SEALING BY A VAMPIRE. EVEN MORE-SO, YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN COUNSEL BY LORD HADES. AS PER THE CULTURE OF THE GODKIN, I AM HERE TO OFFER YOU ASSISTANCE."

She leaned forward a bit. "YOUR FINAL BIT OF ASSISTANCE FROM YOUR BRETHREN."

Wren's eyes widened. "What?! Final? You won't be helping her anymore?!"

Again, Yamako didn't answer the Celestial, simply staring down at Kei.

--

Ithuriel held a hand to her chest. "Phew... okay. Good, I- hey, I'm not an intern!" She said with an angry pout. "I'm just... low-level... agh! Goodbye, Dilan and Xander," she said, her wings coming out before she sped into the air, going back through the light that exuded from it. Once she disappeared, it did as well.

Xavier chuckled as Ithuriel flew away. He turned to look at Don. "Dilan?" He asked after a moment. "Where on earth... I mean I can deal with Xander... after all that was Vin Diesel's name in Triple X." He mused. "Right, we can tell the others all that later. But for now, let's just have a good Christmas. Which means getting this shopping done."

"I....don't know how to react to her," Don pointed out, scratching the back of his head in thought. "I'm not used to not being the clumsy one."

Xavier chuckled. "I know, I know, but it might be a nice change pace for you." He mused. "And yeah... she's an interesting sort."

"Yeah, I guess that's true," Don said with a slight laugh. "I still hope we can be okay."

Xavier nodded. "We will be. We've made it this far." He said softly, sounding just a bit unsure himself. "We just have to attack this together, just as we have since we all moved into that inn."

Kari heard the phone buzzing from Xavier, but it wasn't enough to warrant her attention. She looked down at her hands to see massive amounts of blood pouring from them and the words 'deliver me' were written on her arms. Soon, her body was covered in blood yet no one else could see it. When Rose came out of the store, she saw Kari sitting there. It was an immediate reaction that something was wrong, but she couldn't sense what.

"Kari?" Rose spoke up but the brunette never moved.

"Deliver me..." was all Kari spoke, but her voice sounded as if it was desperate yet it was barely audible like a whisper. Rose just looked confused as she tried to gather her sister's attention again, but to no avail. She just kept repeating the words "Deliver me" over and over.

"U-uh, w-what kind of assistance would that be?" Kei asked nervously, leaning backwards and away from Yamako. "I-I mean, if you're willing to disclose that information.."

"THE MENTAL INSTABILITY; IT IS THE BURDEN OF NATURE. THIS MANIFESTS IN MANY WAYS THROUGHOUT YOUR LIFE. ALL GODKIN MUST ENDURE IT IN THEIR IMMATURITY. NOW, WITH MY GIFT TODAY, IT IS BOUND BY THE CODE OF OUR ANCESTORS THAT WE WILL NOT INTERFERE. FROM NOW ON, THIS FIGHT IS YOUR OWN." Yamako lifted her hand, and in a swirl of dark energy a jewel appeared in her palm. "THIS JEWEL IS BESTOWED TO ANY GOD WHO HAS BEEN RECOGNIZED FOR RELEASING THEIR TRUE FORM. IT WILL GRANT YOU STABILITY - BUT ONLY FOR A FINITE TIME. OVERUSE OF YOUR POWER WILL RESULT IN THE BREAKAGE OF THIS JEWEL. AND IT WILL SPELL YOUR ULTIMATE END SHOULD YOU EXERCISE IRRESPONSIBILITY."

Wren wanted to speak up, but only looked to the younger demigod. "Kei...?"

"..I...see. I'll keep that in mind." She responded carefully, studying the jewel with an apprehensive gaze. She quite honestly hadn't even heard Wren speak. An ultimate end did not sound very comforting to her.

"THEN MY VISIT IS FINISHED. CONCORDIA, THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING ME TO SPEAK WITH KEIRA." Yamako said to the woman.

Concordia nodded. "Take care of yourself, Yamako," she responded with a smile.

"AND YOU AS WELL, MY FRIEND." The helmeted demigod walked past Kei, heading for the door.

Wren held out her hand, about to speak to her. "Wa-" She didn't get the chance before the door closed. She tried to go over to the door to open it, but Concordia stopped her in her tracks.

"Don't open that door. Wait until she's gone," Concordia said with a cautioning, but calm, voice.

Wren looked back. "Why?"

"That bike she has tends to have... ill effects on those who can perceive it," Concordia said. "It's best if you take my word for it."

Wren blinked, slowly taking her hand off of the doorknob. Instead, she turned around to look at Kei. "So. That jewel is, uh..."

"It will help," Concordia said. "It's an ancient gemstone with the power to enforce balance in inherent systems," she said. "Old witches used it in the past to ensure that their magical output never outright killed them."

Kei didn't speak, still staring at the gemstone. "I mean, I knew I didn't have the most stable mentality around here, but is it really that bad?" She finally spoke, seeming more confused than she should've been. After all, she had no real memory of manifesting; in her brain had instead altered it to be a bad dream - a nightmare, nothing more.

"Let's just say it's not going to be conducive to our current situation. At all," Wren said, putting her hand on the girl's shoulder. "But, that's why we're here to help. Everyone's problems get solved in increments, after all."

"Um, not that I doubt your ability to help - Far from it, actually! - but, how exactly would you?" Kei asked, now glancing away from the gem, and now in Wren's direction.

"That's... a work-in-progress. We help you however we can in the short-game, and play the long-game toward you beating this," Wren said. "You've got a lot of people here who can contribute, too. Nothing's impossible with a little help."

Alexis had been worn out from her training. In fact, this was the first physically strenuous training she had ever been through. She didn't count learning to heal to be that daxing. This had her completely sore and exhausted. Not even considering a shower, she walked to her bedroom and collapsed down on her bed.

"Um.. Okay, then. What did Yamako mean by 'releasing', exactly?" Kei then asked, another expression of confusion setting into her countenance.
