"Did someone put one of those pointy things in your chair?" Ken asked as he looked at Wren's chair as well, both Lorenzo and Don were rubbing their ears due to the scream she had let out.

Concordia closed her eyes, standing from her seat calmly and walking after Astra. When the three of them were alone, she made a comment. "Quite the mischievous demon, isn't she?" There was a very noticeable hint of amusement in her voice.

Astra rolled her eyes. "Normally I would smile along with you, but I am concerned about the integrity of the wards." The Infernal said quietly to her friend. "Because as we've discussed, we don't want certain actors realizing that I'm not quite out of the game." Astra sighed, considering the possibility that her hideout had been compromised. "Because I really don't want to have to move..."

"Indeed, your wards will not be able to stop an Archdemon on the warpath," Concordia looked to Astra. "Then again, it'll work out for the best," she let a small smirk show. "I set up a bit of... insurance outside of your home. Just in case things take a turn for the worst."

Astra blinked twice. This was not something she was expecting. "Elaborate?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. "I'm curious about what insurance you've set up because as you know my only real 'Archdemon on the warpath' plan was myself and my blades."

"You're aware of one of my names, correct? The Maiden of Dimensions?" Concordia moved her hair from her face. "As you know, your power you once held in Hell doesn't apply here in this realm; even less so due to your inactivity. The same goes for Lilith, as per the Axiom of Vibrational Reality," she walked over to a door in the kitchen. "In the event that those energies that she possesses ever comes into contact with your home, you'll be transdimensionally relocated to a more safe area."

"What was that then?" Don finally asked, glancing towards Wren's seat.

Astra nodded. She did of course know all of this. Except for what Concordia had set up of course. She smiled faintly. "I am grateful." Astra said after a moment. "I know that it will help keep my family safe and for that I owe you a great debt." She said quietly.

"And why did my mother and Concordia shoot out of here like a rocket?" Xavier asked, glancing over at Wren as well. "What's going on?"

"You are my friend," Concordia said with a smile of her own. "Your lives matter to me... which is why it pains me to ask you this next favor of you. Fight alongside these children when the coming threat rears its head," she was serious now. "Whatever Hell has planned, it can't be good if two of the Archdemons have shown themselves."

She looked into the next room. "As you may know, Wren has taken up the mantle as the leader of their group. But, as experienced as she may be, that absolution she held is in the past. Unless Liruliniel takes up her blade once more, she won't be fit to lead anyone in the fight against something of this magnitude. All great generals surround themselves with someone of greater skill, after all."

Wren shook her head. "I think it was... Infernal energy, I don't know," she looked to where Astra and Concordia left. She would say that it was Astra's doing, but she assumed that the woman wasn't exactly the 'petty' type; if she wanted someone to hurt, it would be through less passive-aggressive means. "It burned me on my..." She stopped herself. "Yeah, it burned me."

Astra considered this for a long moment. Concordia knew that she hadn't picked up a blade outside of training her son or Don in over fifteen hundred years. While time had done little to dull her instincts or skill, it was still something that she didn't want. Astra didn't want to go back to that life, she had done so much, killed so many. And meeting her husband, foolishly marrying him and running away with her love had unlocked something of a warmness and compassion in her, traits she didn't want to lose by throwing herself back into the fray.

But she knew she had no choice. If it was as both she and Concordia feared and that two archdemons had revealed themselves... and seemed to have their sights on her son and his friends... then the choice had been made for her. And there was nothing more she hated than that. "If picking up my blades after all this time is what I must do to keep my son, my apprentice and their friends safe... then that is what I must do." Astra eventually said. "And you are right about Lili... I mean Wren." Astra correcting herself on this was showing a surprising bit of tact and respect for the conflicted celestial. "Having her here as 'Wren' and not as Liruliniel... I know how much that means to both Xavier and Donald. And while it does pain me to admit that my son has fallen under the leadership of a Celestial, what you say is the truth. I will do what I can to guide her and make sure she doesn't have to turn herself into what she once was."

Kari was becoming fascinated of her 'vision'. Being suffocated, drowned, being erased from existence. Being delivered from all the pain, sadness, longing, and other emotions that she had been buried under. She wanted to be free, find true happiness and feel love again. Everything had been a facade up until this time. Her love and concern for her sister was real though.

"deliver me..." she whispered to herself as she 'felt' herself beginning to feel blood fill up in her throat, preventing her from saying more.

Robert nodded. "Good man," he said.

The doors of the bar opened, and the small frame of a garbed woman entered. Her features were mostly obscured by her hood, with only a small smile being seen. Her movements were deliberate, and she quickly stood in front of the two males at the table.

"Ah, our summoner finally makes it here," Robert said.

"Thank you for coming," her voice was low. "Both of you," she said, turning her smile to Senri.

"Ah, yes, this is the lad I told you about. The, uh, treehugger boy."

"Druid," she held out a hand to the wild male. "Hello there, Mr. Druid."

It was clear that Concordia was content with her friend's answer. "Then we shall convene on it soon. For now, have your strapping husband work out the issues with the wards - the ladies should go back to dinner."

"It's Senri." Senri corrected. "No need to be so formal with me."

"Oi, show some respect," Robert said to Senri. "You know who this is?"

The woman giggled. "It's fine, Robert," she said. In Senri's mind, the woman's voice would echo. "My apologies for my rudeness, Mr. Senri. I am known as Titania. It's a pleasure to meet you."

I apologize, Lady Titania. He thought. But its not everday the queen of "The Fairfolk" Herself asks for me. What could you possibly want from a human such as myself?

Unfortunately, I have to say that my true reasons for seeing you were quite selfish. I wanted to view the being whom the Spirits have designated their protector. Titania sat down in the chair, turning to Robert. "Now Robert, I called you here because of the issues that will be arising."

So, tell me about yourself, Senri. She prompted him, while still seemingly capable of continuing the conversation with Robert effortlessly.

The male raised an eyebrow. "Issues?"

"Yes. As you may know, there has been a lot of extraplanar energy gathering," she said, garnering a nod from the male.

"I'm aware. Something about Valkyries?" He said. "Though, I thought they died out a while ago."

"Oh, they are very much alive," Titania responded. "But, they are not the only creatures we have to worry about..."

Robert raised an eyebrow. "Oh?"

To be honest, Senri explained in his head. Their isn't much to tell. I don't remember much, but when I was a little kid, I was on this plane. Something happened and it crashed in the middle of nowhere. There were flames and fire everywhere, and everyone on board had died almost instantly. I should of died to, but for some reason. The Elementals of that area healed my wounds, and gave me a home in their woods. They even gave me a new name. Senri. I don't even remember what my name used to be, but I wanted to do everything i could to aid the beings that had saved my life. Even if they choose to hate me and bring about the Green's Wrath on my being. I'll do anything to protect them and enforce their will. I owe them that much.

Astra chuckled. "He has always been the nuturing defender." She mused.

Zephaiel meanwhile blushed faintly. "You're making me blush Miss Concordia." He said. "I'll double check Astral's work." He swept out as the women went back to dinner.

Once the dinner ended, the group had gone back to the home. Wren patted her stomach, letting out a sigh. "That was the best thing I've ever eaten..." She said to herself, leaning on the wall of kitchen when she got there. Then, she let out a small burp to punctuate her enjoyment of the meal. Honestly, she hadn't eaten that well since being in Valhalla.

Concordia chuckled. "Now, now piglet, mind your manners," she said, passing the Celestial. She had some work to attend to, but she was still happy that they had a good time despite the girl's scene at the dinner table.

"Meh," Wren said lowly in response, getting off of the wall to walking to her room.

After dinner, Xavier hadn't gone home with the others. He was sitting outside on one of the family's terraces, enjoying a cigar and a glass of scotch with his father. "What the hell happened with Wren?" Xavier eventually asked him. "At dinner I mean."

"I don't know if I should tell you. Your mother and Miss..." Zaphael started to say.

"I'm pretty sure mother will tell me if I go ask her on the way out." Xavier retorted.

"The wards apparently aren't 100% safe." He admitted reluctantly.

"As good as they are, Archdemons are a whole other ballgame." Astra said from the doorway, she having been listening through the window. "Concordia has helped out with a contingency to this however." She smiled. "So I wouldn't worry Xavier. We'll be fine." She said, patting him gently on the cheek.

"Should I be worried about the fact that you're apparently besties with Concordia now?" Xavier said flatly.

"No, but there are some other things you should be worried about way more." Astra was chuckling to herself, she clearly knew something that she wasn't going to share. Xavier rolled his eyes.

"Care to share Mother?" Xavier asked her.

"You know as well as I do." Astra mused, glancing idly at her husband as she spoke. "But you'll have to figure it out on your own."

"Gee thanks Mom. So helpful." Xavier's tone was dripping with sarcasm. He stayed for a few more minutes before leaving his parent's house and making his way back to Concordia's, popping into the kitchen for a nightcap and a late night snack.
