Ken laughed when he heard Wren's burp. "I feel the same way," he said before letting out his own burp, though this got him to be hit on th eback of the head by Don.

"Now you're just being really loud," he scolded him, yawning a bit due to how full he was.

Rose just looked merely unamused by the immaturity and rudeness that came from the burps. This was the inn, not a pig stye. She just stood up and shook Kari gently.

"Are you really okay, Kari?" she spoke softly, causing the brunette to snap back into reality.

"What do you mean?" Kari responded, "I'm fine."

"Alright then..." she trailed off, clearly seeing past her sister's lies.

My, you have quite the history, don't you? Thank you for disclosing it to me. Titania responded to Senri.

"These creatures happen to be very numerous. The primary concern are the Angels of Heaven and the Demons of Hell," she said to Robert.

The male blinked twice. "The... what? Angels and demons? Those exist?"

It's nothing special. Senri replied in his thoughts.

The next morning came quickly, and it was back to business as usual at the house. Wren cooked breakfast, having taken close notes of the spices used at the dinner yesterday. The result was a meal that was far better than her already very work. In the end, she would still pick Zaphael's brain on his cooking, as hers still paled in comparison.

But, that had to wait. It was Christmas Eve, which for years usually meant a time of imminent celebration. For her, it was overtime. She looked over the various notifications coming in from the supernatural news, sighing as she noted them all down. So many reports of magic-related attacks and killings; it was becoming hard to keep track of them all.

---

You are correct; plenty have gone through what you have. All things considered, you have a privileged life thus far.
Titania responded to Senri. "Yes, those beings are existent. Remember, your Bible is a book of lore all the same."

Robert blinked again. "Right. Well, this certainly... changes things."

"I'm not finished," Titania said. "There are more who plan to capitalize on the disarray of the season."

"Naturally," Robert said, looking to the door. His eyebrow rose when a group of large-bodied creatures entered. "Right on cue," he took a sip of his drink, taking his eyes from them calmly.

It was clear that he knew what was to happen next.

As per usual, Xavier was writing code on his computer. However unlike usual, Christmas music could be heard blasting from his headphones. He had taken it upon himself to decorate the house and as such they had been graced with Christmas decor as well as his room now having a small tree. Not only that, Juliet the AI was dressed as an elf.

Explain to me why I have to wear this heinous getup. Apparently artificial constructs didn't get into the Christmas spirit.

"Because it's Christmas Eve." Xavier answered with an easygoing smile, taking a long sip of his coffee. "So it's time for you to get into the holiday spirit."

I understand that. But I don't have this 'holiday spirit' you speak of.

"You will. Christmas Eve is a great day. A day to kick back, drink a lot, watch football and do nothing else of value." Xavier explained to her with a smile. "I'll let you be a part of it from my phone. You'll see."

"Morning." Amber greeted drowsily as she made her way down the stairs, intending to make herself a bowl of cereal. "What's up with the Christmas decorations?" She questioned, looking around. "I hope there's no mistletoe around...wait, today isn't Christmas day, is it?!" She asked, a note of panic in her voice. It was quite clear the girl hadn't fully woken up yet.

"You're early by a day." Raku answered with a slightly amused tone.

"Woah, there. Still got another 12 something hours to go." Raku rolled her eyes slightly at his getup. She was dressed rather casually, in a dark gray t-shirt, dark jeans, and her letterman jacket. She continued to eat breakfast, yawning a little.

"Morning all." Xavier entered the kitchen to refill his coffee. "I may have gone overboard a bit on the decor." He admitted sheepishly, running his hand through his hair. He had been up for hours already.

Xavier blinked twice at this remark. "Mon Dieu." He muttered to himself before remembering where he was. "Thats going to change."

"Yeah," Ken said to Raku, smirking. "I mean I guess..I just really like christmas is all," he added with a slight laugh.

"I smell food yet I'm not hungry," Don pointed out as he walked in, sighing. "I hate that."

"Abandoned children do not celebrate Christmas, it's a fact. I didn't cause I was broke." Raku pointed out, taking another bite of her food.

"For many years, Kari and I didn't celebrate Christmas," Rose spoke up, "At the time, all we had was each other and that was more than enough."

"I feel so weird because I thought everyone celebrated Christmas," Alexis admitted in embarrassment.

"No it's not," Ken stated simply before turning to Rose and Kari. "Well...holidays, holidays in general are awesome," he said, leaning back on his chair.

"Well it's settled." Xavier said after Rose spoke. "I'm making sure that you all have the best Christmas ever."

"I want Kari to feel better," Rose whispered to Xavier, "Something is wrong and I don't know what. She lies to me when I ask. I know my sister and since the day at the mall, she's not been the same."
