Wren stood from her seat, stretching. "Alright. Time to start getting ready," she said, walking into the kitchen. "All of you, get ready. We're leaving out the door in about two hours," she addressed all of the tenants.

"..Where are we going?" Raku asked, raising a brow inquisitively.

"Mandatory seasonal excursions," Wren said simply. "Attendance is absolutely mandatory. So up and get it moving."

"Seasonal...excursions?" Raku spoke slowly, her tone that of slight confusion as she pawed at her own cheek. "Uh...okay..?"

"Even if we were, it'd still be mandatory," Wren said. "Now march upstairs and post on something warm."

"This isn't going to be fun..." Rose trailed off, "Guess I'll wake the sister up." With that, she stood up and walked upstairs.

"I wanna be excited but I'd rather make chocolate chip cookies and enjoy hot chocolate," Alexis smiled slightly, "I'm still a child at heart."

"I'm sure whatever Wren's planning will be interesting to say the least." Amber reasoned, pouring cereal into her bowl.

Xavier grinned at Alexis and nodded. "That doesn't make you a little kid at heart because that's exactly what I had planned today." He turned to Wren. "If I'm going to make this day perfect for Rose... I think I'm going to need more time to decorate. So where are we going? I might need to skip."

Xavier frowned as he heard his phone turn itself on. Juliet appeared, grinning despite still being in the outfit that she hated. "Mistress Wren, I believe Master Xavier has a different plan in mind." Her voice switched to Xavier's now. " A day to kick back, drink a lot, watch football and do nothing else of value." Juliet turned to face Xavier, still wearing her shiteating grin.

"Fucking AI... I swear I fucked up her code somewhere." Xavier muttered, pitching his phone out the window in sheer annoyance. He turned back to Wren. "So I'll get my coat yeah?"

"I wanted to watch holiday movies but okay," Lorenzo commented as he walked into the kitchen, letting out a yawn.

"No skipping I'm afraid, uh... robot thing," Wren said. "So, get your coat. Leaving in two hours. That's the end of the conversation."

Xavier frowned. "Excuse me, she isn't a robot. She's an artificial intelligence that I seamlessly wired into the house as well as all of my devices to help me manage all the various technical upkeep of this place." He pouted. "Not only is she capable of rational learning, she has some level of sentient emotion. Somehow. She is no mere robot."

"She's also known as an AI," Ken corrected her as he stood up from his seat.

"What are we doing though?" Don asked with a raised eyebrow, having walked back in with his coat on.

Wren blinked. "Javier, I get you. I do," she pressed her hands together, leaning forward. "But I really don't care."

Xavier frowned. "If only any of you philistines understood the level of complexity..." He muttered irritably, storming outside to find his phone.

"I think Wren just burned you badly," Lorenzo laughed as he glanced at Xavier.

"Hey I said she was an AI," Ken pouted.

Wren rolled her eyes. "He'll get over it," she said, putting down a sheet of paper. "When you guys are done pouting and groaning, sigil to this location. Don't be late," she said, putting on her coat and walking out of the front door. The glow of the sigil outside would activate in two hours, sending them to that location when they were ready.

Xavier didn't take too long to find his phone out in the snow. Wiping it off with his hand, he stared at Juliet. "She called you a robot thing."

I hope you corrected her. Does she have any idea how insulting that is? Juliet asked him, her frown matching his own.

"Of course I did. You're far more than just some cobbled together robot. You're my pride and joy really..." He trailed off, realizing how odd that sounded.

If I were you, I wouldn't let Rose hear you say that. Juliet quipped, clearly amused at what chaos that would result in.

"Right. Come on you." He muttered, patching her into his headphones. "If I patch you into the house, will you help me set up all the Christmas stuff?"

You didn't program me with the ability to say no.

"Way to ruin the moment Juliet." Xavier muttered before heading inside and back up into his room. He had code to write and a Christmas music playlist to wire into the house.

"Dude, you have a lot of issues," Don commented as he saw Xavier picking Juliet back up.

"Like you're one to talk." Xavier remarked. "I'm busy." He added after a moment. "Nobody in this house has any idea how complicated all this shit is." Xavier's usual composure was slipping a bit. "Like all the decorations, everyone just assumes they appeared out of nowhere. Juliet they all just think she's a robot thing that appeared after fifteen minutes of code." He sighed, glancing out the window. "I know that this technical stuff isn't tangible like say the work I do on the car or the wiring is... but..." Xavier rolled his eyes. "This isn't going to get me anywhere, is it?"

No, no it is not. Juliet added helpfully.

"Terrific." Xavier muttered.
