"Thanks," Wren said, putting a hand to her hip and looking around. "We're actually in Emmanuel's garden, right now. A part of it, anyways. Took a lot of convincing to allow this. But, I'm glad you guys like it." she said.

Xavier gasped. "Out of all the things..." He listened to the music for a moment. "How on earth did you get my playlist going?" The nephalem asked with a smile.

Kei didn't look all that fazed, simply chuckling. "How predictable of you."

Raku nodded her head towards Ken's comment. "Damn, this is pretty amazing."

"Did Concordia make you wear that by the way?' Don asked as she looked back to Wren.

"It is," Ken nodded his head in agreement with Raku. "Ms. Wren really is awesome if she was able to get this place."

"That... was trial and error," Wren said. "It's pretty much held up by some magic. Technology and magic tend to be hard to weave together," she crossed hers a bit.

Then, Don's question hit her. "Agh. Uh. No?" she looked away. "This outfit was, uh... was my idea. Completely."

And I'm running Spotify. And the radio. And all my parts are fine.

Xavier glanced from Don to Wren and back to Don. "Yeah I think it wasn't her idea." He said to Don before looking back at Wren. "How on earth..."

I helped.

Xavier rolled his eyes. Juliet always giving the helpful answers.

Wren looked to all of them for a second. "So. Before we go and party, I, uh... I wanted to do something. Just... don't laugh."

"Well, if it helps, you're better than the real Santa Clause," Don chuckled a bit, crossing his arms. "You mean more than what you already did?"

"You do a lot of work Juliet," Ken pointed out.

"I would never laugh at you Wren. Scout's honor." Xavier said, crossing his heart.

Yes I do. Xavier programmed me so he can be lazy and not do all the normal maintenance and upkeep.

"Stop buttering up my robot Ken." Xavier muttered.

Kari, even being midst of the festivity and merriment was still quite down. On the opposite side, Alexis was feeling rather nostalgic and rather peppy. She was rather shocked that Emmanuel had allowed a portion of the garden to be used though.

"This all looks so amazing," the nephilim had spoken, being surprisingly content with her surroundings.

Rose just kept an eye on Xavier and Kari.

Wren lifted her hand, an arc of energy coming to it before her weapon materialized. However, it wasn't her trademark scythe; this time, it was an ornately designed gladius. The blade was longer than a normal one, and shimmered waves of energy that covered the area around its wielder.

"This... is the Skuld, Liruliniel's gladius," Wren said. "The weapon that she... I used during my time in Valhalla."

Her expression became almost vacant as she lifted it. "In the name of my Queen, my country, and my people... I slew thousands of beings."

She pointed it forward at the group. The tip pointed to Amber. "Humans," she moved to Rose, Kari and Ken. "Vampires," next was Kei. "Demigods," Don and Xavier were next. "Infernals. Celestials. Halflings of all kinds. They all fell to this very sword. Their blood is stained on it. Beings just like all of you..."

Her grip tightened on the blade before pushing it into the snowy ground. "And I... I want to atone for that. I do," she sunk down, getting to one knee and bowing her head. Her body began to glow, and her wings manifested behind her.

"This is a Valkyrian oath - a tradition that has continued for many millennia. With this oath, I swear that I will not raise my blade to you. That I... I will atone for all of the blood on my hands," she began clenched her fist on the blade's handle. It was hard for her to continue, considering all that she was divulging to them. "I will never allow anyone to take any of you. My Queen is Concordia... my country is this home... my people are you. And I will see myself obliterated before I lose any of them."

Even as she clearly finished, she still remained on one knee, her head down.

Ken couldn't help but sniff a little when he heard Wren's speech, quickly wiping a tear off his face. Don himself had been left speechless by what she said, at least until he saw Ken get down on one knee.

"I bow the same!" he called out, tears still coming out. "I mean...I haven't gone through the same thing but you and everyone else are important...I...I ughaks ialsifdj'

"Ken, calm down," Don said in alarm before glacing at Wren, giving her a kind smile before bowing down as well. "You didn't have to make a oath you know, we already knew all that," he stated, closing his eyes. "You'll protect us and we'll protect you, cause you're our leader."

Xavier looked around. "Out of all the things..." He said for the second time in as many minutes. "I mean I tried to kill you that one time Wren. If there's anyone who needs to beg forgiveness it's me." Xavier mused.

You're terrible at this whole heartwarming moment thing. At least you're good at picking music.

Juliet was driving Xavier up the wall. Of course he wouldn't comment on that. Instead he glanced at the scenery. "Is this permanent?" He asked curiously.

Lorenzo listened to the others for a moment. "I know I'm a pretty new addition to this whole crew and I don't talk much," he pointed out crossing his arms. "But I can at least say you do a very fine job Ms. Wren."

"By the way, your wings look awesome," Ken commented.

Kei crossed her arms, smiling a little. "I must say, not even I expected that out of you. Maybe this goes along the lines of being a daughter of Death, but.." The demigod paused for a moment. "..I honestly don't care who you kill, have killed, or will. You've always known that though..haven't you?"

A feeling of relief washed through Wren as her wings and blade disappeared. She clenched her fists a bit, while struggling to even her breathing. "Thank you... I, uh, I really wanted to put that into words," she said lowly. "But um, enough of that. Let's go."

She hadn't even raised her head to them before turning around. "So, this little hedge maze leads to a bunch of different areas. There's a large barbecue pit - that's where I am. And, uh, if you feel like partying, there's a couple other places here. We've got a good bit of guests here too, so you know. Enjoy. We'll open our presents at midnight tonight."

With that, she walked back toward the barbecue pit, leaving everyone to their own devices.

Indeed, there were a fair bit of people there. Hades and Persephone had come from the Underworld to enjoy the festivities, as well as a few other gods who got the invitation from Wren and Concordia; the two rulers of the Underworld were currently enjoying a bottle of ambrosia underneath the moonlight, looking over a cliff into Eden's expanse.

The Winter King and Queen were noticeably at the party as well, taking the center of attention. His majesty, the group had already met, but his wife was breathtaking; skin of porcelain and eyes of icy blue, the clothes she wore seemed to exceed the worth of anything at the party combined.

Beyond that, many beings were in attendance, either relaxing or simply dancing and partying the night away. It wasn't as large as Hades' gala, but it seemed that everyone was having a good time; even the gods in attendance, whom all wore casual human clothing.

"Let's go explore this place!" Amber said enthusiastically, gesturing towards the maze. She took a full step forward before stopping. "Er...what if we get lost?" She asked.

"The places are interconnected. If you get lost, it's cause you're drunk," Wren said, walking through a pathway and into the pit.

"Girlie, you're back!" Came the voice of a, currently drunk, elf.

"Yeah, yeah," she said, walking back to the large barbecue grill to continue cooking the meat.

"Sure you don't wanna try and find Santa Clause instead?" Ken asked curiously as he followed Amber.

Lorenzo turned to Kei for a moment. 'Wanna go say hi to uncle Hades?"

Don had followed Wren towards the barbecue pit, sniffing at the air. "Mind if I help out?"
