Back at the house, a hooded figure flipped inside through Xavier's window. She blinked twice, looking around as she picked up a framed photograph of Xavier and his parents. "I'll make sure he's safe ma'am. It's the least I can do." The girl said quietly as she lowered her hood, revealing long jet black hair and a pair of small feline ears. "He decorates nice. Guess that's what the unlimited credit card does for you, doesn't it Xman." She smiled before curling up on her ex-boyfriend's bed. It had been a long trip, she needed a nap.

The Celestial standing at the door stared at the teenager for a second before walking forward. Reaching into her suit jacket, she procured a dagger and sent it down on the girl.

Josiel's eyes widened when she saw the Celestial attack, dropping her groceries. Just as she did, she pushed both herself and Alexis out of the way of a blast sent by the other Celestial. The cashier's screams were silenced by Josiel lifting her hand to the woman's face, sending her to sleep. "Damn. They've got us cornered..."

--

Standing by the doorframe of Xavier's room was Concordia, who walked in with a cup of tea. "Breaking and entering is considered a class 2 felony," she said. "I could shoot you dead and wouldn't be held accountable."

The woman set down a cup of tea on the nightstand. "However, I'll merely ask your name for now."

The girl purred as she woke up. She looked up and blinked twice, wondering who this was. "April. April Kurasawa." She said after a moment, feeling no need to lie about it. "I'd say wait until Xavier gets home and he'd explain who I am... but considering your tenants ran afoul of a group of exorcists. Somehow. He's not coming home. One of the others got nabbed too." She muttered irritably. "And if you're wondering how I found this place. His mother."

Raku's fang-like grin returned, however, as she quickly sidestepped the incoming blade. She took another bite into the lemon, letting out another snicker. "Please don't tell me that's all you've got. That makes for a pretty pathetic fighter, you know?"

"I'm aware of the situation," Concordia said, gesturing for the girl to take her tea. "I plan on dealing with that now, actually," the woman turned toward the door. "If you wish to accompany me, you're welcome to," with that, she walked out of the door.

--

The Celestial turned on her heel, sending a blast of energy at Raku the moment latter dodged.

April nodded, hopping out of the bed with cat-like reflexes. "That's why I'm here after all." She explained with a toothy smile.

Alfonso had left the mall along with the other Exorcists as they all gathered once more inside of a large white cathedral on the far edge of the city. "It was a bit tougher than I thought but no problem nevertheless," he pointed out towards the rest of the group. "We should get the preparations for their execution started before their comrades come to help them out."

"Damn it, they always have to run away," Ken gritted his teeth in frustration, waving his arms around frantically to disipate the fog.

Don looked around once more, turning to Xavier and sighing. 'So...we're stuck here."

In a flash, Raku had withdrawn a knife of sorts. It expanded in size, until it was well over a meter long. Brandishing the massive blade, she redirected the current of energy back at the Celestial, narrowing her steely blue eyes as if intrigued. "Well then, you're not total trash. Good to know."

Xavier just smiled. "Want a smoke?" He asked his friend. "It won't be long. They'll spout nonsense dogma at us for awhile and then chop off our heads." He remarked dryly. "At least we don't have to listen to it that long."

"Nonsense dogma still sounds pretty bad," Don asked before accepting his offer and grabbing the cigarette. "I hope the others are able to find us though."

Xavier lit Don's cigarette for him. "I wouldn't worry. My mother is already on it probably. In fact if I know her, she sent April to the house and she's tearing into our friends for letting this happen." He said with a smirk, not knowing he was only half right.

Josiel turned on her heel, sending a kick toward the enemy Celestial. While it seemed to do what she intended, sending her adversary flying back from the impact, she didn't see a shadow extend from behind her. Shadowy tendrils wrapped around Alexis, trapping her within the darkness and pulling her into them.

The Celestial fighting Raku was quick to continue her attack, lunging at the teenager with her dagger poised to slam into her throat.

----

"What do you mean 'captured'?!" Wren yelled at Concordia. The older woman, and another whom was apparently named April, had found the group as they were heading toward the home. Immediately, they were briefed the situation.

Amber's eyes were wide. "You mean, the exorcists took them away?!" She exclaimed. She had been talking with Ken before Concordia's appearance, and was pulled from her conversation when the news hit.

Concordia nodded. "Yes. And I'm afraid they're not the only ones," she said. "An escape mission is about to be mounted."

"Of course it is," Wren said, staring directly at Concordia. "We're getting them back."

--

The shadow dropped Alexis down roughly in a darkened room of the cathedral, having teleported her there. Staring down at the Nephilim was a woman dressed in a assassin-like gear, topped with a breastplate armor covering. She was silent, entirely still as she glared down at the young girl.

"Damn straight we're getting them back," Rose retorted.

Alexis looked rather freaked out as she wasn't sure where she was. She saw the woman glaring at her, and her body tensed up.

"Hello?" she called out.

Raku shot forward, swinging her colossal blade in a wide arc that hopefully would send the Celestial flying with the large shockwave it would generate. "I see now, things must have gotten personal with you." She mused to herself, seeming to ignore the fact that this woman posed an actual danger to her well-being.

"Yeah and I gotta finish that fight against that woman," Ken pointed out, feeling worried for Xavier and Don after hearing what had happened, even if he didn't know how he could properly help them out. 'Also who are you?" he asked as he turne dtowards April.

"April?" Don asked, taking a swig from the cigarette.

April smiled. Xavier's new housemates had fire at least. That would help. "There's a short window before they're executed. For having Infernal blood." She frowned. "Exorcists round up apparently." She smiled at Ken. "April. An... old friend of Xavier's." She didn't go into detail.

"One of my exes. And my mom's personal favorite." Xavier noted dryly. "Also rather good at getting into places where she shouldn't be. Most importantly for this, no Infernal blood. So my mother probably asked her to get us out of this mess."

The woman narrowed her eyes at Alexis, moving forward toward the girl. Before her boot could touch the ground, however, a smooth voice stopped her. "Anduriel, leave her be."

The Valkyrie stepped back, closing her eyes before disappearing. She reappeared not a second later behind a woman standing at the top of some stairs leading to the gigantic cross. She was dressed in a crisp, white suit and shoes that matched her equally as white hair, cut short and layered almost perfectly. Her golden eyes stared down at the Nephilim, and a small smile was etched onto her face. "Hello, Alexis," she said, walking down the stairs. "My name is Evangeline."

--

The exorcists' actions called for an immediate reaction, yes. However, Concordia shook her head at the assessment. "Not yet," she said in response to April. "They won't execute these two. The circumstances surrounding Don's relationship with them, as well as Xavier's blood will keep them from outright murdering them."

"So, what, we wait?" Wren asked.

Concordia looked to the Celestial. "Of course not. We'll strike while they're still valuable alive," she closed her eyes. "However, you must know that that these Exorcists have an affiliation with Heaven. Treading onto their property will not be easy; surely, there will be members of the Host guarding it from intruders."

Wren narrowed her eyes at that. "Of course."

Amber smirked a bit. "We can take em," she then blinked. "Right?"

--

The Celestial was, indeed, sent flying back from the shockwave. The strength of the attack, while strong, only made the woman need to catch herself. She skid on the ground, coming to a stop. "Strong..." she whispered. "Damn humans..." She leaped forward again, swinging her dagger at Raku once more.

Josiel turned to check on Alexis, only to find the girl not there. "Alexis? Alexis?!" However, before she could panic, she dodged out of the way of a blast from her Celestial adversary.

"Sure things are going to be okay with Rose?" Don asked curiously, glancing at Xavier.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Ken," Ken replied, smiling politely as he stretched his hand towards April. He then turned to Amber. "Of course we can take them! It's us after all!"

April sighed. "That's a gamble Miss Concordia." She said quietly. "And I really don't want to deal with his mother if you're wrong. Then again, no one wants to deal with his mother when she's upset." April chuckled, having experienced this before. She shook Ken's hand. "Good to meet you Ken."

At this, Xavier chuckled. "Yeah it'll be good. Well as long as Rose doesn't find out that April is an ex or that we text pretty much daily. Before I tell her I mean." He shrugged. "But as for... that... April 'couldn't deal with my shit anymore.' Direct quote."

"I'm not surprised," Don replied with a smile, only for his expression to become slightly pensive for a moment. "At least you have someone from back home you can depend on."
