"Hello, Evangeline," Alexis replied respectfully yet terrified at the same time. What was this woman going to do to her?

"I'd rip their heads off if they laid a hand on Xavier," Rose growled.

Xavier frowned at this. "Well you have us now. For what little it's worth apparently." He quipped. "And April... for all I know she's gonna show up just to drive one of those claws of hers into my throat. Or she lets slip the old history and Rose... replace claws with fangs and you get the narrative." He said with a smile.

"And you must be Rose..." April thought out loud, looking the vampire over from head to toe. She smiled. "Oh yes... you are most definitely his type." She purred.

"Don't get so cocky," Amaterasu narrowed her eyes, crossing her arms. "Regardless of who the enemy is, you can't go around assuming they'll be easy to beat."

Raku clashed blades with the Celestial, gritting her fangs. "I appreciate the thought, I really do." Most wondered how someone could afford sarcasm in a deadly confrontation - if anyone could, it was Raku. Anticipating another attack, she tensed and tightened the grip on her own blade.

"Oh, I didn't mean anything rude by it," Don apologized, a bit more nervous now. "You guys are worth a lot."

"So then what's our plan?" Ken asked, turning towards Wren.

"A gamble, it is. However, it is one that's necessary to take," Concordia said. "Unfortunately, our hands are tied. Things have certainly taken a turn."

Wren crossed her arms for a moment before looking at Concordia. "Any way for us to win against the Celestials they'll have there?"

The woman shook her head. "No, there are too many of them," she put a finger to her chin. "Though, I can make it so that you don't actually have to fight... my primary reason for going there is to ensure you bypass those beings."

"Alright, let's go with that," Wren responded quickly.

"Then come close and I'll ensure that all of you are warded," Concordia said.

Meldamiriel had followed her mother to the cathedral, walking through the halls toward the cell where they were keeping the two prisoners. The Celestial was still a bit surprised from the bout with her sister, and eagerly awaited the chance to even the score.

"And they're securely kept within, yes?" She asked Alfonso as she walked with the exorcist.

Evangeline walked down the stairs, her heels clacking on the floors of the cathedral hall. "I'm an old friend of your mother's," she said to Alexis, giving her a smile. "And I've been waiting to meet you for a long time."

--

The Celestial battling Raku lifted her blade, continuing to bring it down on the girl. The attacks were strong, but it was clear that the teenager's defenses were just as solid. Leaping back, she lifted her as an mass of white energy began to power in it.

Then, she fired, a blast of white light erupting and rushing toward the young girl.

Josiel lifted her hand, blocking a kick from the Celestial. The force of the kick, however, sent the woman flying toward a wall. When she hit it, her head drooped a bit, before it was picked up by the enemy Celestial. She slammed Josiel's head into the head roughly, smirking. "Well that's a shame. I thought you'd be tougher."

Then, Josiel's eyes opened, them glowing a radiant white. Lifting her hand, she sent a wave of force out, knocking the Celestial away. The former stood to her feet, her body glowing with energy as wings of energy grew from her back. Lifting her hand, the light began to increase in intensity, before finally erupting in an explosion that blasted through the entire store.

The Celestial fighting Raku turned, her eyes wide. "What?!" What she saw was her partner completely atomized by the blast that Josiel caused, and the angered Celestial turning to both her and Raku.

"Yes, right here," Alfonso answered, holding out a small book in front of Meldamiriel. "They're sealed inside a magical space, it can house anyone that has a trace of Infernal blood in them," he explained. "I'm glad we could be of some help, though what is the deal with that other prisoner that was brought in?"

Raku panted, glaring at the opposing Celestial, new wounds blossoming from her stomach and arms. "Damn. That kinda fucking hurts." She launched herself at the foe once more, slashing in a violent arc in an attempt to cut her in half.

"She is a rogue angel from Heaven - a child of Lucifer's ilk whom Archangel Michael tasked us with finding," Meldamiriel said to Alfonso, looking down at the book. "This prison... allow me access into it. Pull me out in ten minutes."

"Because, child, I wish to help you," Evangeline said, standing in front of the girl. "I understand that you want to know more about your mother."

--

The Celestial's eyes widened when she turned, her chest getting hit by the blade. She went skidding back, getting on a knee. "Damn..." she said, looking up. The suit had been cut, but underneath was light armor. The blade had dealt some noticeable damage, but the brunt of the attack was deflected by the now defunct chestplate.

Standing, she glared before her wings of energy broke out from her back. In a flap, she took off into the air, taking off from a hole in the roof made by Josiel's blast.

Josiel was now left with Raku, narrowing her eyes at the destruction she'd caused. Shaking her head, she walked over to the girl for a second. "Thank you. Do you... need help?"

"Nah." She responded, getting to her feet. The massive blade shrunk to the size of a steak knife, which she proceeded to drop into her pocket. She bit into the lemon, skin and all, rolling her neck. "That was, uh.. A real big explosion. Are you okay?" She crossed her arms, staring up at the Celestial with a slight frown.

"Are you sure, they'll most likely attack you," Alfonso informed as he looked at the Celestial.

"So we're not going to fight them?" Ken asked with a slight frown.

"Yes, I'd like to know more about her," Alexis spoke honestly, "I don't know much... she kept it all hidden from me."

"I will be fine," Meldamiriel held up her hand, creating a projection of herself. This will go in for me. "Allow me entrance."

"Well, Alexis, I like your drive," Evangeline smirked a bit. "Your mother was a Valkyrie of Valhalla. They're a sect of Celestials, broken off from Heaven after the War. But, I'm sure you were told this."

--

Josiel nodded slightly. "Yes, I, um... I'm fine," she looked around, letting out a harsh breath. "Damn it. They took her away..."

"Well, I would like to stick around, but I have some other people to deal with." Raku bit into the lemon's skin once more, shifting the weight of the large silver case on her back once more. With that, she stuffed her hands into her pockets and exited through one of the holes created by the debris.

"Hey I know that, I mean just look at my checkbook." Xavier quipped, dodging Don's actual point. "Or not. I'm not an old man like my old man. All computers for me." He joked.

"Whatever we do, it needs to be quick." April muttered. She wasn't the patient type.

"All right, as you wish," Alfonso replied before opening the book, allowing her projection to enter the prison Don and Xavier were in.

"I get your point," Don nodded his head before seeing Meldamiriel's projection appear, causing him to move back and glare at her. "Now what?"

"Here comes the rhetoric about how Infernals are cursed creatures and should burn in the fires of hell for all eternity." Xavier muttered under his breath, lighting up another cigarette. "You think she'd bring us a nice bottle of wine if I asked nicely?" He asked Don with a grin. "Last meal and all."

"You really think they'd give us that benefit?" Don askd with a raised eyebrow. "Well I guess it's nice to dream."

"Typical animal instinct; when backed into a corner, you project a bigger sense of yourselves," Meldamiriel said. "You don't pose any real threat to anyone here, so all you have is your rhetoric. I understand. But don't worry, I'm not here to harm you just yet."

She walked toward the two of them, leaning down toward Xavier. "You, though. You're a lucky creature... honestly, I thought all of your kind had been eradicated."

--

"We won't make any moves that will cause them harm," Concordia said to April. The entire group would receive a sigil on their shoulders, which appeared in a flash of light. "That will ensure that you're not noticed when you enter. Beyond then, I will not be capable of helping you - my mission is to distract the angels."
