Meldamiriel was silent for a moment before speaking once more. "Things have been... less than orderly in Heaven," her fists began to glow, energy knuckles coming to them. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got a rat to find."

--

Anduriel looked up, her eyes narrow at the distant sound of the intruders.

Evangeline nodded to her, and the Valkyrie disappeared into the shadows. Turning back to Alexis, she sighed. "I believe your friends are here to get you."

--

Tsukuyomi's and Susanoo's efforts to drive away the exorcists seemed to work well. The former's golems were quick to attack, utilizing beams of energy that razed through three approaching agents. The latter used his own brute force, smashing through a number of them using his fists and blade.

Wren was quick to capitalize on the emptiness of the halls, running down a few corridors while dodging any incensed exorcists. However, she stopped when she saw a blur go down another adjacent corridor. "What?"

Then, she was knocked from her feet, almost smashing into the wall before catching herself. The force that whizzed past her was unmistakable - Anduriel was on the warpath, but Wren wasn't her intended target it seemed.

At that moment, Ken would see the shadows ahead of him start to move, their shape forming into a humanoid body. Anduriel's shadows convulsed before becoming an amorphous shape that lashed out at the young Vampire.

Ammy would hear a voice behind her. "You've got some nerve, busting into this compound," Yumiko said, walking from behind the wall into the same corridor as the creature.

"They are?" Alexis asked as she tilted her head, "How can you tell?"

-----------------------------

Rose kept moving, her pistol ready in case of attack. She didn't even know where to start to looking for the others though.

"The audacity of you holy freaks." Amaterasu bit back in reply, letting out a dry chuckle. A harsh white aura enveloped the teenager, flames accumulating around the sphere of blinding energy. A ring of fire exploded from the light, revealing a pristine white wolf with crimson markings. Lashing her black -tipped tail, she studied Yumiko with a tilt of her head. She waited for the paladin to attack, crouching down in anticipation.

Raku sat in the pews of the cathedral, head bowed as she paid her father his respects. The human was unmoving and silent, only laying back after a minute or so had passed. She did not get up, crossing her arms and closing her eyes.

Yumiko drew Kusanagi from its sheathe, pointing the holy sword at Amaterasu. "You've stepped into a house of worship," she said. "And by the name of my God-" the girl stopped speaking when she saw Amaterasu's transformation. "That form... you're mocking me... you bitch," she leaped forward, swinging the blade in an arc that would send a shockwave out powerful enough to rip the floor asunder.

--

When Rose made way down a hall, a gunshot would ring out, flying past her. The shot was from a sniper rifle, an Exorcist hiding out of sight firing the weapon. "Warning shot," he muttered, pulling the bolt back before pointing it again. He wanted to try and pick her off from a distance.

"Am I?" Amaterasu asked, leaping over the paladin. "If this is a place of worship, then you are disgracing your god by ripping it asunder; are you not?" The rosaries hovering around her neck morphed into a whip, striking at Yumiko with lightning speed.

"The Lord will forgive me," Yumiko said, slamming her blade into the ground, a barrier erecting around her when Ammy struck at her. The sword began to glow before the floor reconstructed itself. "Because I keep everything in order..." However, Amaterasu raised a point. Being in this house of worship, for her at least, meant that she had to respect the deities that lie within. Destroying did exactly the opposite of that.

Thus the girl backed up, before lifting her blade. In a flash of light, the two of them were teleported outside of the cathedral, into the courtyard. "Round 1, you heretic," she narrowed her eyes, swinging her blade to send a number of energy waves hurtling at the creature. They seemed to deal no damage to the floors of the courtyard, but would still be capable of hurting the wolf.

--

Wren walked forward, finding Meldamiriel and Alfonso standing near one another. She had taken the pathway that led deeper into the cathedral building, her eyes widening when she saw her sister.

The elder Valkyrie, however, had no such reaction. She simply pointed at Wren. "She is another Fallen from the Devil's ilk. Come to break these creatures out to preserve their secrets," was what Meldamiriel told the Exorcist.

"The Devil?" Wren drew her scythe. "What the hell are you talking about?" She looked at Alfonso for a second, before looking back to Meldamiriel. "What lies have you been feeding them, Meldamiriel?"

"Would grandpa Shiranui be happy if I attacked one of his followers?" Amaterasu pondered aloud, blocking each with the Infinity Judge. "Come to think of it, he was real mad when I so much as stained the Infinity Judge.. Damn it, where are the two idiots and Kago when you need them?" She growled, launching the rosary beads like bullets at Yumiko.

Rose heard the gunshot and instinctively backed up. The look of annoyance on her face spoke volumes.

"If you weren't such a pussy, you'd come out of hiding," Rose called back, not in the mood to deal with this crap, "Or are you so afraid of having your life taken by a vampire?"

"Guess I'm fighting these guys this time," Ken said to himself, putting his sword back for a moment before charging forward, thrusting his fist out at the shadows.

***

Alfonso looked at Wren for a moment, drawing his sword. "What is she talking about?"

April continued her journey through the shadows towards Xavier and Don. She could feel their presence, she knew they werent that far.

"Our ride isn't far." Xavier promised Don with a smile, he knowing April was near. "We might have to crack some skulls on the way out, so I need you man."

"How will we even get out though?" Don asked him for a moment. 'We don't even know where we are exactly."

Yumiko's blade was quick to parry each of the beads, glinting in the sunlight as she fired off more blade waves at Amaterasu.

--

Meldamiriel scoffed. "Just another lie being told by Hell and its denizens. You should be wary in listening to her," she moved forward, pointing her fist at Wren.

Wren looked at Alfonso and back to Meldamiriel for a moment. "Where are Don and Xavier?"

"Dead," Meldamiriel stated. "Just as you will be."

"You're lying," Wren's brow furrowed.

"Am I?" Her elder sister's face never faltered for a second. "Or, are Fallen so deluded in themselves that they can't believe simple truths."

Alfonso didn't reply, instead he just stared at both of the Celestials for a moment before glancing down at his book and pointing his sword at Wren. "I have a question for you," he stated. 'Did you sell Don and the nephelim out?"

"Are you meaning to tell me that I, Amaterasu, am not worthy of defeating a follower of grandpa?" She muttered to herself, skidding backwards with the force of the blows. "Freaking mortals.."

"Where we are isn't really relevant." Xavier pointed out. "We'll get busted out by the rest of them and who knows what we'll find on the way out."

April meanwhile had found Xavier and Don. Well as close as she could come to finding them. She was up on the ceiling above Wren, Alfonso and Melandriel. The fact that Wren had possibly sold Xavier out was interesting to her. However unlike her ex-boyfriend, she'd wait and listen before acting.

"Amaterasu..." Yumiko's eye twitched at that. "How dare you compare yourself to a deity, you heretic!"

--

"Why would I do that?!" Wren yelled at Alfonso. "They're my-"

"Your friends?" Meldamiriel finished for her. "Please. They hate you. They know of your treacherous ways."

Wren glared daggers at Meldamiriel, seething at the voice of her sister. "Shut up! I didn't betray anyone!"

"Yes. Yes, you did," the older Celestial lunged forward, sending a burst of energy to her feet while her wings erupted from her back.

Wren didn't have the time to react entirely, but was able to block the brunt of Meldamiriel's punch as she was sent flying from the force. She went through a few pillars, smashing down to the ground into a roll before stabbing her scythe into the ground to stop herself. Looking up, she dashed out of the way as Meldamiriel came down with a follow-up punch that blasted a crater into the floor.

April sighed. She didn't entirely believe either of the girls, but she knew that she'd have to help Wren if they were going to free Xavier from the book. She hissed, leaping off of the ceiling and pouncing towards Meldemiriel, slashing at her with a pair of sharp claws.

Alfonso was shocked by the sudden turn of events as Meldamiriel charged at Wren, he had been able to hear what Wren said though and it didn't add up in his head. He could hear what went on inside the book and he knew what the Celestial had told his former friend before.

He looked down at his book, holding it tightly, memories of his youth with Don coming back, they always argued and fought and he always got into trouble, yet it was always crashing for him when he thought that Don could be like the demons that he had been told about all his life. "Just what should I do here, I'm a Paladin even," Alfonso gritted his teeth, clenching his sword.

He lashed out, throwing the book into the air before slashing down swiftly, cutting the book in half and causing a bright, shining light to erupt as Xavier and Don were thrown out.

"Ugh!" Don groaned as he landed on the floor. 'The hell..." he muttered before seeing Alfonso standing in front of him. "Al-"

"You're free to go," the exorcist replied, not looking at the Infernal. "It seems the situation wasn't as simple as I thought it was."

"Pussy?" The exorcist glared down in the scope again before firing once more. However, he shot was disturbed by some debris that flew from the wall. "The hell?" This would give Rose a chance to counter.

--

Meldamiriel turned on her heel, blocking April's attacks with energy-coated hands. Sending a burst of force toward the girl, she made to try and knock her away.

Wren took the chance to swing her scythe, sending it down on her sister. That, too, was blocked, the blade clashing against her palm before she sent a blast, knocking her sister back.

--

Anduriel's shadows were quick to follow up attacking Ken, then covering his part of the hallway and sending a massive number of spikes from all sides around him down to try and impale him.

"It never is." Xavier murmured as he looked at the current situation. The celestial sisters were brawling and... April was getting into it. "Kitty!" He shouted.

"What!" April shouted back. It was clear it took her a moment to realize that he was fine. And more importantly he was free. She forgot about the fight she had gotten herself into and of course that meant that she got hit by the attack. It sent April flying straight into Xavier's arms. "You idiot." She muttered, nuzzling into his chest.

"I'm fine. Really I'm okay. They didn't even touch me." Xavier told her with a smile as he pulled the pair of them to their feet. "We're going." He said bluntly.

"What about?" She asked him.

"Either Liliruniel betrayed us or she didn't." Xavier spat bitterly. "I'll wait for the sisters to finish and kill the remaining one myself." He explained looking over at Don. "Come on, let's try and gather the others and get out of here before it all comes down on us." He said before storming off with April in tow.
