Ken saw Amber run out of the cathedral and sighed with relief. "I'm glad you made it out, where are the others though?" he said with worry.

***

Don blushed a bit upon receiving Wren's hug, hugging her back in turn as he tried to think of an answer. "It's thanks to you really," he said before moving back and trying to regain his composure. "We should get out of her before the building smashes us in," he said, grabbing Wren's hand without noticing and beginning to run once more.

"Uh," Wren was acutely aware that Don was holding her hand, and drew it back after they ran out of the area of the cathedral. Amber ran after, eager to finally get away.

---------

A week had gone by since the cathedral incident. With things now in relative peace, the group had time more downtime. Concordia had taken more measures to ensure that things would remain safe at the home. However, with the news covering the now destroyed building and the destruction, it was clear that the situation of supernaturals becoming public was escalating.

Wren had been in and out of the home frequently, trying to piece together where her sister might have gone. "Are you sure? ... Okay. Thank you... Yes. I understand... Wait. A what? ... Okay..." She hung up the phone before looking into the kitchen. "Alright."

Ken was cleaning the living room, dusting off the shelves and making sure to clean up the floor, he was wearing a red bandanna over his head along with a green apron. "There, I think I'm done," he sighed and wiped some sweat off his forehead.

Will was reading a book in the sitting room, trying to take his mind off of the unease he had.

I hope she doesn't want to attack while i'm with other people. He thought.

Kei yawned, passing into the kitchen while adjusting the medical eyepatch. "..Morning." She mumbled, suppressing another yawn.

"You look like you need more sleep," Ken commented once he saw Kei walk through the living room. "Like a lot more."

The house had a lot of unused supply closets. Or, at least that's what Wren was told they were. In truth, they were just doors that led to incredibly empty places. Wren had been looking into one of them, staring at the extremely unimpressive space when Kei walked in. "Morning," she said to the demigod, closing the door.

Wren looked down at the sheet of paper in her hands, lifting her marker before drawing the sigil on the door.

"Whatcha doin, Wren? Art project?" Amber said, walking over to the Celestial. She'd been helping Ken clean up the house, but decided to take a break. The boy's stamina was almost limitless compared to her, so she had to take more breaks while he trucked onward with his deep cleaning.

"You could say that," Wren said, stepping back after finishing the sigil. It was a bit crooked compared to the flawless drawing given to her by Concordia. "Alright... Por-ta Orion-a s-patii te-mpor-isque conflu-unt in unu-m," she stumbled over the Latin that was written on the paper.

"... was that Spanish or something?" Amber raised an eyebrow.

"Tace," Kei muttered, crossing her arms. "I get plenty of sleep, mind you."

The door's sigil began to glow despite Wren's butchering of the words; both Amber and Wren stepped back while the magic begant to work. On the other side, light shined before the began to grow, covering the door in an inky black color that transformed it from a simple wooden rectangle to an obsidian-decorated ornamental style. The doorknob was replaced with a golden trimmed, ornately fashioned handle.

Wren and Amber both blinked before looking at one another, then back at the door. The former walked forward, Amber picking up a kitchen knife to follow after her. The Celestial reached for the door, pulling on the handle before opening it. What was on the inside, however, made Amber drop her knife.

"Holy... shit," she was almost breathless at the sight of the inside.

The interior was no longer a small closet - rather, it had become an expansive library, spanning around eight floors. Each of the levels' railings were visible from the ground floor, spiraling up in an almost circular shape. No less than six were filled with books, while the other two seemed to lead elsewhere. At least six of the floors were filled to the brim with nothing but books. On the ground level, there were many desks seated near a number of pillars, with a large, ornate table one seated near the middle.

Wren's eyes went to the foliage growing in the library, shrubbery lining around the edges while leading to a large tree that towered up to the open-air ceiling. That, in itself was strange, as the sky was not projecting sunlight; rather, it was a very clear view of the galaxy - a sea of stars and molecular clouds, as well as a view of Venus could be seen.

"This is... just... oh my god..." Amber was still at a loss for words.

"Breathtaking," Wren finished for her.

"Uh, yeah!" She nearly yelled. "Guys! Come check this out!"

Kei entered the library, but not before snickering. "Yeah. This is amazing. No offense to you, but that was the worst Latin I have ever heard in my life." With that, she glanced around with one icy blue iris, observing the vast expanse.

"Oh hush. It worked," Wren said, walking further into the library. "So, this was her 'gift'?"

Amber raised an eyebrow. "Why would Concordia give us a library?"

Wren shrugged. "To get our own information. She's busy, so I guess it's just for us to start researching."

When Will spoke, Amber looked to him. "There wasn't! Wren brought it here!"

"Concordia brought it here," the Celestial said, her arms crossed while still surveying their surroundings.

"Whatever you say, Wren." Kei gave her an impish smile, pulling a book from the shelves as she began to leaf through the pages.

Alexis had been visiting Josiel and Emmanuel quite frequently since the incident occurred at the cathedral. That was the only place she felt safe at, and she felt safe with those two. She had distanced herself greatly from her mother, but would still speak to her father through the phone. However, it would be scarce due to the threat of Evangeline. She didn't want her father to be put at risk.

"Hello again, Emmanuel, Josiel," she spoke as she came to visit the two once again.

"I don't know if this place is indexed," Wren looked at a desk, seeing a number of documents on it. They seemed to be research papers of some kind.

Amber looked around. "Uh... index it ourselves...?"

--

Josiel perked up at the sound of Alexis' voice. "Hey, Alexis. How are you?" She had been keeping a closer eye on the young girl. Things had gotten a bit rough for them, the Valkyries being there and all - especially considering that she had a run-in with Evangeline herself.

However, it didn't take a genius to know that the Valkyrie leader had toyed with Alexis. The scars were showing - Evangeline was always a skilled manipulator. Just like Lucifer. The thought of the former archangel brought a bad taste to Josiel's mouth every time.

"Emmanuel, Alexis is here!" Josiel called out.

"Ah, good!" He yelled from the kitchen.

Xavier had spent the week getting his ass kicked repeatedly by his mother. Her training was quite brutal. And she didn't let up no matter how exhausted her son appeared to be.

"Again!" Xavier was sitting on the ground, his lip busted open. He could taste the blood as he looked up at his mother standing over him, her blades pointed down at his throat. "We will keep going until you hit me!"

Xavier sighed, it would take a miracle for that to happen. But he also knew that his mother wouldn't let him leave the training stadium until he did so. And so he got up.

____

April meanwhile had been going back and forth between Xavier's house and the others. She had been tasked with keeping an eye on them. By both Xavier and his mother. Of course, the reasons for each were quite different. At the moment she was sitting on Xavier's bed in the inn reading a book. She rolled her eyes at the antics that the mother and son had her up to.

"Holy crap this room is huge!" Ken exclaimed as he walk in, being in complete awe upon seeing the newly transformed room. "And this place had always been here?"

"What's all the ruckus?" Don asked, having walked out o fthe room to see the others glancing into what he thought was a closet. "Wow," he gasped upon seeing the size of the new room. "We had a library?"

"I'm alright, Josie," Alexis smiled as she walked into the home. Hearing Emmanuel's voice also made her happy, but she felt her cheeks grow slightly pink when she heard his voice this time. Nothing had changed that she was aware of, so why did she feel hot all of a sudden? Was she becoming ill? She just looked down at her feet, unsure of what was happening. "Josie, why is my face red?"

"We didn't... now we do," Wren said, walking toward Don. She put a hand on his shoulder before speaking lowly to him. "I'm going out. To find Xavier," she said, leaving the home.

It didn't take long for the girl to take to the skies. She and Xavier had an "appointment" of sorts, one that was to take place within a field far away from their homes.

"You can't wait, can you?" that same voice always gnawed at her. "You can't wait to meet that disgusting half-breed."

Wren closed her eyes before continuing to fly.

"You yearn for the days of old - during the reign of The Dreadnaught, Liruliniel."

No, she didn't. She couldn't have. So, why'd she bring the sword with her?

---------

Wren landed down in the field deftly, letting in a breath. There, she waited for Xavier to arrive.
