"Ah, shit.." Kei shook her head, snapping out of her stupor. Racing out of the wendigo's sight, she swung her black scythe in a vicious arc at the beast. The creature, however, wasn't so stupid as the first time around. It pushed away the blade, leaping back. As it lunged again, Kei raised her weapon once more to slash at it. It was successful in stunning the beast momentarily, pushing back the cannibalistic spirit.

Vincent had been late arriving to the house. He'd missed the bus home from school, and he arrived at the house just in time to see Wyatt decapitate someone. He rushed to the door and flung it open, brandishing a golf club he had purchased for self defense. He quickly navigated to the basement.

"Sorry I'm late, guys." Vincent said. He was trying his best not to reveal how grossed out he was by the severed head on the basement floor. He might have attacked Wyatt, but he had seen enough movies where people died because of misunderstandings that he wasn't going to whack the knife-wielding demigod upside the head before getting answers.

Wyatt turned around to see Vincent come in and could tell he was disgusted by his actions. He decided to toy with him while Ajah made up his mind. After all, he already saw him decapitate the vampire.

Smiling creepily at Vincent, Wyatt moved to where the decapitated head was while staring at Vincent with his sunken, steel coloured eyes. "Do you like this? He's free now." He said to him in a quiet, yet unsettling voice. He bent down and picked it up in one hand, while talking out one of his knives and licking the still-warm blood off it and swallowing. He then put the knife away and plunged his hand into the head, feeling around until he pulled his now bloodied hand out with the vampire's brain and threw it to Vincent's feet.

"Free," He repeated, "His soul is free...freedom comes at a price, you know. Are you willing to pay the price?" He asked him, giggling.

Ajah paid no mind to Vincent, waving his hand to the blood supply. In an instant, it was teleported to the location of Wyatt's base of operations. The Reaper opened his hand, letting the soul floating into the air. Slowly, it dissipated into thin air. "It has been done," he said to Wyatt.

Wren flew at the beast, spinning to try and swipe it across the chest with her own scythe.

The swipe of Wren's had cut into it's icy heart, signifying that she was doing a good amount of damage. The wendigo let loose another scream, recovering from its daze as the creature lunged towards the Celestial with its jaws agape.

Wren jumped back, trying to move out of the way. The beast, however, was too quick. She lifted her hand, firing a blast to try and close the distance further.

Wyatt stopped giggling, in realisation that the favour had been done and his group now served no purpose here in the house. Although he was dreading the explanation for the missing vampire, Wyatt was satisfied with the way things had turned out. Then he remembered the group upstairs and Vincent.

Throwing the head at Vincent's chest and yelling a quick thanks to Ajah, Wyatt put his hood up, slipped out the basement's window and darted towards the group's secret way and spoke through his comm to the remaining vampires.

"Listen up, the deed has been done, so finish up with whatever you are doing and use your vampire speed or whatever to get outta there - we are using the way. And make sure no one follows you. Don't question me, just do it." He told them through the comm in a quiet yet commanding voice.

The wendigo sidestepped, missing the attack by mere centimeters. It studied it's two opponents, letting out a guttural roar. Crouching down low, it charged at Kei, only for her to vanish. The girl reappeared behind the creature, boring down her scythe on monster's back. However, the wendigo had noticed her presence a second early, whipping around and catching the scythe's blade. Underestimating the wendigo's strength, it ripped the weapon from her hands and threw it several yards away from where the three were standing. Narrowing her eyes, the demigod stepped back and shadowtraveled over to where she had seen her scythe hit the ground - however, she failed to notice the wendigo anticipating her movements.

Xavier had ducked behind the kitchen counter, accomplishing two things. The first was to use the counter as a shield to block his attacker. The second was that from his new point, he could cover Rose. He did just that, popping up to fire off another barrage of flame as he moved.

Marcus moved out of the way of the fire, still finding himself nearly seared by it. "Damn, damn," he muttered. When he prepared to lunge again, Wyatt's retreat call came. Growling, he turned to his teammate. "Oscar, we're leaving!" He yelled to the other Vampire. When he ran to the backdoor, he spared one final glance at Rose before escaping.

Oscar had been hit by the blade, and when he leaped over Don to escape, his blood left a trail leading out of the home. He knew that Marcus was a bit ahead of him, having gone through one of the many places in the sewers. Running at a high-speed, he followed the two males, going through another manhole out of view from the house.

When it was all set and done, Ajah walked up the stairs, looking around the kitchen. "Why is the kitchen on fire?" He asked, looking around at the various inhabitants. "Who are you people?"

--

"Kei!" Wren yelled, flying in to block the attack. However, she lifted her scythe to parry a little too late, finding herself caught between the beast and Kei.

Growling, Kei's shadow went through Wren as she materialized to take the brunt of the attack. She felt a skeletal, clawed hand plunge right into her abdomen, which yielded a small hiss of pain. Wincing slightly as she did so, she raised one hand to keep it's jaws shut while her other clenched its frozen heart located within the otherwise hollow chest cavity. Tightening her grip, She slowly began to crush the ice.

"Ow... This was not a good idea. Do you have... any... flames... Wren..? Could.. use some... now.." Kei gritted her teeth, starting to push back the cannibalistic beast.

Smiling slightly, Xavier waved his hand, the flames vanishing as he did so. "My apologies. Things got ugly for a bit. Those vampires really don't like us."

Rose turned to see Ajah and walked over to him, focusing on the matter at hand.

"Um, you see," she began to speak in a calm and polite manner, "We were here to talk to you about vampires, but the said vampires showed up and well...this happened."

Wyatt arrived in the nest, his breathing having onto been raised a bit due to him having a lot of stamina. He turned around and looked for any signs of Oscar or Marcus, his eyes narrowing a bit. Sweeping his hair out of his right eye, Wyatt thought - he only decapitated one vampire, right? So where were they?

Ajah looked to Rose, before turning to the owner of the house. "I see. Well then. Jensen, we'll have to probably have to move again," Ajah said to the elderly man.

Jensen nodded. "Quite a shame. I was enjoying our home," he sighed. "We'll go check around California. Maybe Death Valley," he said. "For now, our last favor in this home will be carried out. Tell me, what do you need to know about Vampires?" He asked to Rose and the group.

--

Wren's eyes widened as she prepped her scythe. Flying forward, she spinned forward sending matter into the blade. The result was a strong concussive force added to the friction of her scythe. It wasn't fire, but the result was a blade hot enough to slice through objects much more cleanly. This was aimed at the beast's torso, trying to sever it in half.

--

When Wyatt had returned, he would be greeted by the Leader. He looked over the blood shipments being delivered to the storage rooms, not turning to the boy. "Welcome back, Wyatt. Excellent work, today."

"Thank you, sir." Wyatt replied, glancing at the leader and the blood supplies - looks like the reaper had kept his promise. He then peeped back towards the secret passage. "I don't suppose Marcus and Oscar have returned back here, have they sir?"

Kei fell to the ground, along with the upper torso. The lower half of the wendigo begun to steam, melting away - eventually, the upper half did as well. Kei was left with a handful of ice, and a large gash centered around her abdomen. Coughing a few times, she tossed the melting chunks of ice to where the wendigo once stood.

"Let's not do that again.." She muttered, attempting to stand up.

Vincent pursed his lips, shrinking back as Wyatt kicked the emancipated brain towards him. He'd seen this kind of gore in horror movies before, but in real life, it was a whole different story. The wet squishing of the brain, the way he'd torn it from the head, and the smell...Oh god the smell. Vincent tried his best to ignore it, however. He had a feeling he'd have to fight his knife wielding tormentor. He held his golf club before him, ready to strike...Just in time to deflect the severed head. He was too grossed out to even chase after Wyatt, and was left with nothing more than the gory remains as Ajah ignored him and walked past him, up the stairs. By the time Vincent had regained his composure, the man was already in the kitchen. Ohhhh. So this dude was the informant.

"Yeah. Do you have any idea why those guys were messing up that grocery store?" Vincent said. He was certainly a site. Some of the blood had gotten on his golf club, and a few small bits of brain matter were on his shirt. It looked like he murdered someone.

"Well," Rose began to speak in a polite manner, "We were here to speak with you about those vampires that we were in a struggle with. We needed to know who they were, what their motives are, and so forth. Yesterday, we had to stop them from killing a human in broad daylight. So, if you can help us in any way, that would be most helpful, sir."
