Trini Lopez
American Singer
Trinidad "Trini" López III was an American singer, guitarist, and actor. His first album included a version of "If I Had a Hammer", which earned a Golden Disc for him. His other hits included "Lemon Tree", "I'm Comin' Home, Cindy" and "Sally Was a Good Old Girl". He designed two guitars for the Gibson Guitar Corporation, which are now collectors’ items.

He died from COVID-19 related complications.

Raymond Gilmore Allen was an American television actor. He was best known for his appearances on television during the 1970s. He had recurring roles as Ned the Wino on Good Times, as Aunt Esther's husband, Woodrow "Woody" Anderson on the NBC sitcom series Sanford and Son, and as mechanic Merle the Earl on Starsky and Hutch. He reprised his role as Uncle Woody Anderson in the Sanford and Son spin-off, The Sanford Arms. Allen also made guest appearances on The Jeffersons, What's Happening!!, The Love Boat and the film Wattstax.

He had been the band's manager since 1994. He played drums in the heavy metal band W.A.S.P., as well as with Billy Idol. Banali was briefly a touring drummer for Faster Pussycat and Steppenwolf.

He began his 19-year Major League Baseball career with the 1961 Chicago Cubs but spent the majority of his big league career as a left fielder for the St. Louis Cardinals. Brock was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1985 and the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame in 2014. He was a special instructor coach for the St. Louis Cardinals.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg is an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. She was nominated by President Bill Clinton on June 14, 1993 and has served since August 10, 1993. Ginsburg became the second of four female justices to be confirmed to the Court after Sandra Day O'Connor, the two others being Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan, both of whom are still serving in 2020. Following O'Connor's retirement in 2006 and until Sotomayor joined the Court in 2009, she was the only female justice on the Supreme Court. During that time, Ginsburg became more forceful with her dissents, which were noted by legal observers and in popular culture. She is generally viewed as belonging to the liberal wing of the Court. Ginsburg has authored notable majority opinions, including United States v. Virginia, Olmstead v. L.C., and Friends of the Earth, Inc. v. Laidlaw Environmental Services, Inc..
 
Gale Sayers

Gale Eugene Sayers was an American professional football player who was both a halfback and return specialist in the National Football League. In a relatively brief but highly productive NFL career, Sayers spent seven seasons with the Chicago Bears from 1965 to 1971, though multiple injuries effectively limited him to four full seasons of play, and in the last two seasons appeared in only two games each before deciding to retire during the 1971 season. He was known for his elusiveness and agility, and was regarded by his peers as one of the most difficult players to tackle.

Joseph Michael Laurinaitis better known by his ring name, Road Warrior Animal, was an American professional wrestler. Along with Road Warrior Hawk, he was one half of the tag team The Road Warriors/The Legion of Doom. He headlined multiple pay-per-view events for the WWF and WCW, competing for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at 2001's Sin.
 
Sadly, two deaths of note here in the Antipodes. Firstly, former Australian cricketer and commentator Dean Jones has died from a heart attack in Mumbai while commentating the Indian Premier League (People | Dean Jones News, Features and Galleries | The Age), while New Zealand singer Max Merritt from Max Merritt and the Meteors has also died from Goodpasture Syndrome.

Morris Mac Davis was an American country music singer, songwriter, and actor, originally from Lubbock, Texas; he enjoyed much crossover success. His early work writing for Elvis Presley produced the hits "Memories", "In the Ghetto", "Don't Cry Daddy", and "A Little Less Conversation". A subsequent solo career in the 1970s produced hits such as "Baby, Don't Get Hooked on Me". He also starred in his own variety show, a Broadway musical, and various films and TV shows.
