Argentinean cartoonist Quino died yesterday. He was mostly famous for the comic strip Mafalda, although he kept drawing after its run ended.

Baseball Player
Robert Gibson was an American professional baseball pitcher who played 17 seasons in Major League Baseball for the St. Louis Cardinals. Nicknamed "Gibby" and "Hoot", Gibson tallied 251 wins, 3,117 strikeouts, and a 2.91 earned run average during his career. A nine-time All-Star and two-time World Series champion, he won two Cy Young Awards and the 1968 National League Most Valuable Player Award. Known for a fiercely competitive nature and for intimidating opposing batters, he was elected in 1981 to the Baseball Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility. The Cardinals retired his uniform number 45 in September 1975 and inducted him into the team Hall of Fame in 2014.

He was best known for popularizing the tapping guitar solo technique, allowing a rapid arpeggios to be played with two hands on the fretboard. Conchata Galen Ferrell was an American actress. Although she was a regular cast member of five TV sitcom series, she was best known for playing Berta the housekeeper for all twelve seasons of the sitcom Two and a Half Men. For her performance as Berta, she received two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. These came in addition to an earlier nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her performance in L.A. Law

(Vale: Sean Connery | TV Tonight) He was James Bond in Dr. No, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again (I have never seen James Bond in case you are wondering). I think he is the second James Bond to die after Roger Moore a couple of years ago.
