In Memoriam: Celebrities

Ursula K. Le Guin
American Author
Ursula Kroeber Le Guin was an American novelist. Working mainly in the genres of fantasy and science fiction, she also authored children's books, short stories, poetry, and essays. Her writing was first published in the 1960s and often depicted futuristic or imaginary alternative worlds in politics, the natural environment, gender, religion, sexuality, and ethnography. In 2016, The New York Times described her as "America's greatest living science fiction writer", although she said that she would prefer to be known as an "American novelist".
One of the most poetic radical authors in American history. She'll be sorely missed.

He also hosted the popular radio show Hour of Decision from 1950 to 1954. He repudiated segregation and, in addition to his religious aims, helped shape the worldview of a huge number of people coming from different backgrounds leading them to find a relationship between the Bible and contemporary secular viewpoints. Graham preached to live audiences of nearly 215 million people in more than 185 countries and territories through various meetings, including BMS World Mission and Global Mission. David Ogden Stiers
Actor
David Ogden Stiers was an American actor, voice actor and musician, noted for his role on the television series M*A*S*H as Major Charles Emerson Winchester III and the supernatural fiction drama The Dead Zone as Reverend Gene Purdy. He appeared prominently in the 1980s in the role of District Attorney Michael Reston in several Perry Mason TV movies and voiced Cogsworth in the 1991 film Beauty and the Beast and Dr. Jumba Jookiba in the Lilo and Stitch franchise.

I will also remember David Ogden Stiers for his lesser-known role as the narrator in Black Isle Studios' computer role-playing video game Icewind Dale. That man has proven more than once that he makes for a brilliant narrator. He will be missed.

Just heard the news about Prof. Stephen Hawking (Vale: Stephen Hawking). He was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis for the Americans on the forums) at the age of 21 in 1963 and was given just two years to live, but lived for 55 years after the diagnosis.
