I've definitely noticed an upswing in pro-Russian sentiment from conservative media and organizations lately.

Brazilians, please make the right choice today.

Edit: So close! But Lula's well-positioned for round 2.

Periodic reminder that the world's richest man is also the world's dumbest moron:

Musk had a lot of goodwill in Ukraine thanks to Starlink. Now it's all gone, as even Ukrainian diplomats are right now dunking on him.

Musk is obviously addicted to debasing himself on twitter.

EDIT: Ukrainian Presidential advisor Mykhailo Podolyak is now also telling Musk to eat shit:

Why does everybody care about the mouth diarrhea of a rich kook?! It's especially annoying now of all times. There's a lightning offensive going on, for Arceus' sake!

Russian front in Kherson is right now collapsing.

This is the third major Russian retreat in the past few weeks.

Not sure if this goes into the In Memoriam: Celebrities thread, but Liz Truss' poliitcal career has sadly died, 44 days after becoming British Prime Minister with Truss resigning as British Prime Minister, and a new Prime Minister to be elected, the second to serve under King Charles III after Truss. This used to be common here in Australia, but they often survived a year during this period. And now the United Kingdom will have its third Prime Minister this year (just hope it is not Boris Johnson again), or vote for the lettuce that outlasted Liz Truss (I heard about it here in Australia in the news).

My thoughts goes out to the British people at this tragic time after losing another Prime Minister and hope that the third Prime Minister for 2022 lasts longer than the two months of Liz Truss. If not, then Britain will see more Prime Ministers under Charles III than Elizabeth II in her 70 year reign (she had 15 Prime Ministers from Churchill to Truss).

EDIT: Found a video from Lizzy Lettuce (WARNING: Rick Astley material that some forum members may chuckle at)

let's hope the conservative party is punished for this shekanery in the next elections
I’m not setting my expectations too high. “Elect us so we can fix all the problems we created” has proven to be a highly effective message.

Kremlin dotard. No wonder Zelensky refuses any more negotiations with Russia as long as this lunatic leads it.

He looks sick. No, not in the head, he just looks physically wasted. He's also quite twitchy. Not stimming, actual involuntary twitches.

Very Trumpian sore loser response from him

Meanwhile, Brazilians are partying in the streets

A note for my fellow Victorians. Victoria will go into caretaker mode at 1800 tomorrow night ahead of the elections on 26 November. So you may be wondering, what is the Caretaker Convention here in Victoria? The following article from vic.gov.au will explain the Caretaker Conventions that will apply for the next couple of weeks, with the length dependent on the results of the elections (Guidelines on the Caretaker Conventions | Victorian Government). Some pages (such as the Public Transport Victoria website for example) now carries a disclaimer in regards to the situation in Victoria (such as the example attached to the post for example).

If you live in Victoria, please make sure you are registered to vote for November 26, and you can check if you are enrolled at vec.vic.gov.au and if you are 18 years or over, voting is compulsory (which is why it would be theoretically impossible to get a Donald Trump or a Jair Bolsonaro-like person elected here). Remember to not treat voting like a game or a joke as your vote will affect how Victoria will be governed for the next four years. Follow the news for the next four weeks and remember to do your research ahead of voting on November 26. Remember that this is for the next four years, not just for Christmas (which is a month after the elections).
