Having watched the trailer with Iono, did anyone else get the impression that her two Magnemite hair decorations were actually Pokémon and they could have been the debut of its regional form?

Those things were definitely alive. They could easily be similar to Wiglett in that they share similarities with Magnemite but are classified as a different Pokemon... these guys could be a biological offshoot of Magnemite and the colouring could be a gender difference or represent different types (blue could be Electric/Ice while pink could be Electric/Fairy). It would play along with the idea that some regional variants of Pokémon are classified as a different species altogether.

Them moving doesn't mean that they're alive, for one thing she said they were just hair clips.

They have the technology to create robots (heck, Porygon is a man-made pokemon) so the idea that they have the technology to make accessories that move by themselves isn't that strange.

When you bear in mind that we didn't get Galarian Dustox in SWSH's first DLC despite Klara's bow apparently hinting that, it's entirely possible that they're just simple decorations instead of a Paldean Magnemite hint. I wouldn't suggest building our hopes up in that area.

In any case, they are quite unique.

Regular Magnemite were already confirmed to be in the wild, anyway.

Honestly it's likely a teaser of a magnemite (being version exclusive colours likely) but not directly magnemite with her on her hair
