Is anyone choosing a non-starter starter?

I'm contemplating the absurd and using my level 10 Poke Bank Celebi along with my starter... but there's the problem of its boosted growth and disobedience...

I'm doing the same thing! I loved using my shiny Dratini from W2 on my Y run, so I figured I'd do the same thing with OR. Celebi is my favorite legendary anyway, so I'm stoked.

I'm going to use Treecko, but if I'm up for it, I could use the distributed shiny Beldum as my starter. (level mode: seriously difficult)

I already have a shiny level 5 Weedle set aside for this very purpose.

Shiny Mega Beedrill, huh? That thing'll be boss. Have fun wrecking the game with it. :lol:

I've been thinking of doing something like this, honestly. I have one of my FS Golurk in Daycare with a 6IV Ditto and I've been trying to get a shiny Adamant No Guard Golett. I may just say "Screw it" and catch a Tailow or something and trade it over for a nearly ready Golett egg and have that as my starter. As much as I love Mega Sceptile--it's been my go-to Mega in the Demo--I just don't have the connection with it as I do an Automaton. Golett and Golurk are "my" Pokemon. I really want to have one of them as my actual starter.
