Is it because it's Japanese...?

My Milotic gains more experience in battle than any of my other pokemon. All of my pokemon have been obtained through trades.

Example:

Milotic made another pokemon faint. It gained 1021 boosted experience points, and the Typhlosion that was holding the exp. share gained 901 boosted experience points. So then I took the exp. share and gave it to Milotic. My Alakazam made another pokemon faint, and Alakazam gained 901 boosted experience points, but Milotic still gained 1021 boosted experience points.

So it's just Milotic. I'm certainly not complaining or anything, but how come Milotic gets more experience than my other pokemon? The only thing that makes Milotic any different from the rest of them is that it's Japanese and I got it off the GTS. Could that be why? Or is there some special Milotic thing that I'm missing because I've never had a Milotic before?

I think I read somewhere that Pokemon from different language versions of the game do get extra boosted EXP.

Did some math, looks like it is 2/15 more than traded exp based on the numbers Azurill gave (901 + 901 * 2/15 ~= 1021). The exact multiplier against traded exp would be 17/15.

And just to clarify, the extra boosed exp. is just for other language pokemon, not all pokemon from other countries.

Thanks for answering my question, guys. I had no idea that japanese pokemon get more experience than regular ones. That's kind of...totally rad.

That can't be right... 17/15 is 1.13333333.... and the trade multiplier is 1.5!
