Is it okay for Fire-type pokemons to drink water?

What about Slugma?? Wouldn't water just evaporate in its mouth before it could swallow

It would probably also harden the lava, depending on how much water there is.

I'm of the same opinion as some other people here. Pokemon that aren't literally made of fire such as Houndour or Typhlosion probably can, while Pokemon like Magmar or Slugma probably should not.
 
The more animal-like ones would be okay. I'm not sure about the ones that are pure fire.
